  1. I'd like to second that request. All the sets I've liked and been through have dimensions of no more than 500x333. Would really appreciate a link.
  2. There's quite a bit to find in amongst all that graffiti, I love it. The colours are wonderful. And I love the use of the grey on the alternate side of the album cover -- certainly fits in with the whole concrete canvas/graffiti thing. Pretty sure this is going to be incredibly brilliant.
  3. So completely happy to hear this is the album title -- well done, man. After the creation of this thread, the evidence found to support the belief, and a little of my own thought, never doubted "Mylo Xyloto" would be the album name. Totally love it.
  4. Hiya Mili, I've sent a PM over to you. :)
  5. Yeah, I get that festivals don't actually require any lining up, my comment was more in relation to not knowing whether audiences will be switched out after some acts to make room for other patrons. I was sure I read about this happening at another festival Coldplay played fairly recently, but I can't remember for the life of me which one it was. I was curious as to whether Splendor employs the same type of rotation and figure the first two days will make it clear whether or not to expect it. Of course, my plan was always to spend the entire day at the main stage in anticipation for Coldplay's performance, but if this turned out to be the case, some other planning may have to be involved if I was looking to get front row. :)
  6. Just because this Xylo guy hasn't been in contact with Coldplay doesn't mean they haven't been inspired by him or his graffiti/art. I'm of the belief that there has been no contact with the band, but even if he has been collaborating in some way, I can't see why he wouldn't just ignore the emails rather than reply and seemingly have to lie about it. Also, I quite like "Mylo Xyloto," and would not be disappointed if it turned out to be the album title.
  7. Oh, well -- I guess we'll have two days to figure out if we need to line-up. And I have no idea as to where they'd be staying in Brisbane.
  8. I think considering the tickets sold out in a reasonably short time that the show is pretty much guaranteed to be a great one. And given it's their first lot of shows in South Africa ever, I can't see how you'd doubt it.
  9. Does anyone have any idea about whether or not we're going to be expected to line-up again for each act on the mainstage like some of these other festivals? I'm really hoping not.
  10. "Politik" Live 2003 sounds absolutely amazing reversed. "Swallowed In The Sea" and "Fix You" are really, really great too.
  11. Completely obsessed with HLH at the moment. Extraordinary. They should be really, really proud of this.
  12. Charity video? Totally blanking here.
  13. It reminds me of the music used in the "Extras" Christmas Special.
  14. Yeah -- the similar sound is there, but I'm thinking it's a different song. Or Chris just mucking around on the piano.
  15. I cannot wait to hear the studio version of "Charlie Brown". The intro is amazing.
  16. Oh. Thank you, anyway -- there's still a version on YT. And I guess we will. Given the songs we've heard so far, it seems a lot of the Studiofeed features the different sounds and techniques the boys have been experimenting with.
  17. No, that's okay -- I checked out the reversed version. I can see how the sound is similar, but I wouldn't have related it to ETIAW.
  18. Really? I suppose it could be, but I'm just not hearing that.
  19. One of my absolute favourite things about the song is the vocal effect. Really love it.
  20. Heh. Funny that I was just thinking about this the other day. After hearing the studio version of "Major Minus," I thought I recognised that the reverberated 'uhh-uh's' at around 2:20 and 2:28 sounded really similar to about 0:10 in the Studiofeed (where the boys are all standing around a microphone). When I compared the two, though, they didn't actually sound all that much alike -- I think it was just the reverberation that had me. I want to hear the song that contains the piano from 0:08 to 0:11. Badly.
  21. I'm going to hazard a guess and say that watching from the stage will be an amazing, unforgettable experience.
  22. Oh, the memories. These string of festival gigs have me feeling all nostalgic...
  23. That is very, very awesome news! (That is me also containing insane jealousy). I never know what to write in those "write 25-words or less" competitions. I can never decide which to be -- crazy fan-girl, heartfelt, or as normal-sounding as possible. Still, very happy and excited for you, Lucy! I'm going with a friend who isn't exactly, shall we say, Coldplay-orientated, but I think she'd appreciate the experience in any case. Not much longer now. Woo.
