I would've been too shy, too. I was on the look out for you, though -- even if I had no clue as to who I should be looking for. There was a group of girls in front of my friend and I that I thought for a minute could have included you. Do you have a picture that you could PM me from the concert? I'm sure that'll jump my memory -- feeling a little rude here.

Alright, so of the three shows, this was my least favourite. The guys were incredible, but the crowd was severly disappointing. I had this girl behind me who wanted me to sit down even though she spent the entire gig seated, grumpy and totally not into it. I was more than a little pissed off. It helped me to realise, though, that a) I will never be seated at another Coldplay concert again, and that b) I was stupid for ever thinking it was a good idea in the first place. Silly me. The show was fantastic, though. I find it highly unimaginable that they could ever be anything other than wonderful.

Yep, that was me, Cobalt. I don't recall seeing anyone in a black/grey V-neck, but I'm disappointed I didn't get to put a face to a name -- and also slightly embarrassed because I didn't put any effort into my appearance at all for GA, or the last night in general because I was just so damn exhausted... I wish you'd introduced yourself, even if it is a little strange and intimidating to go up to someone you don't really know. Cool that we ended up right next to each other, though. Good on us for knowing all the lyrics! You've summed up the gig awesomely. Crowd was easily better than the first two nights, for me -- singing, standing, phones out for the Viva remix. Just so much more energy. Actually, that could possibly be attributed to the fact that it was the mosh pit. I think generally it holds a better/different atmosphere. Pretty sure I got a look from Jonny -- I smiled at him. So cute!

tauiwi -- I completely agree. The first two nights I was immensly disappointed with the crowd involvement -- barely any singing (except when Chris asked for it), no phones during the Viva remix, and barely any standing. Seriously disappointing. Where I was located, I really did feel like the only person who was actually singing everything. "Strawberry Swing" sounds way too incredible to drop. When that song starts, I swear you get goosebumps -- such an amazing sound.

So, yeah. That was just amazing. I don't have time to write a complete review because I really have to get to bed. I'll say that I definitely enjoyed myself more tonight than last night (considering I had no grumpy shit behind me telling me to sit down). GA, all the way. Setlist was the same as last night, except that "Green Eyes" was switched out for "I'm A Believer". Which means that, yep -- "Glass Of Water" was played again instead of "Chinese Sleep Chant". Pictures/videos/reviews to come over the long weekend. I swear I got the best picture of Guy, and a nice one of Jonny's backside...

Just quickly: setlist was the same as last night, except that 'Chinese Sleep Chant' was replaced with 'Glass Of Water' -- and was incredible. Be back later with more.

Sorry, someone asked this a couple of pages back -- no, there was no mention of Chris' birthday. One side of my banner did say, however, "Happy Birthday, Chris". I didn't have it up for long, though -- audiences members complained it was in the way. Josh, that is really great. And I completely respect your desire to keep the name of the hotel private. Even if the lack of knowledge kills me slighty.

Okay. It was amazing and incredible and fifty other different kinds of wonderful. You sort of forget how so enormously magnificent they are live, live until you're in their presence again. I had reserved seating so I didn't get to Rod Laver until sometime around 8PM. I caught the end of Mercury Rev, I think, and I kind of regret not getting there early enough to listen to them in full. From what I did hear, though, their sound seemed pretty great. Planning on catching them tomorrow if I can. Of course, completed the perfunctory photoshoot outside the venue and then pretty much spent the waiting hour detailing every little tidbit about the show for my sister and friend; the 'magic balls', the yellow balloons, piano solo of 'The Hardest Part', Jonny's guitar at the end of 'DAAHF' etc. I was directly in front of the stage, behind the FoH, and so who do I see? Miller -- setting up a camera facing the stage. I asked my sister and friend if I should go talk to him, get his signature (which I did, but not until after the show). Jay-Z erupted from the speakers, followed by the Blue Danube, and knowing the band would walk on stage after they'd finished playing, I started preparing myself. Loved the setlist, which remained unchanged and found itself graffitied all over my arms by the end of the night. I was actually pretty disappointed in the crowd tonight. I was the only one who stood the entire time in my section (even though I was asked to sit down once, but it was really only for this banner I made -- which I stopped using but continued to stand, obviously), and looking around I could see that there were large blocks of people in reserved seating who barely left their chairs the entire performance. Which I can't understand. But, yeah -- like I mentioned, the entire show was fantastic. A really, really great finish. The butterflies in "Lovers In Japan" were amazing against the backdrops -- it seemed like there were thousands and thousands of them. I think that knowing I have two more nights to come helps ease the disappointment of the show finishing. I got a few pictures and videos, but I’m not too sure how they’ll turn out once transferred onto the computer. Once the guys had left the stage and the crew started coming out to clear up, I moved to the FoH main area and asked if I could possibly have a setlist. I scored one (although, it varied slightly from the night’s set), and I really couldn’t believe how easy it was -- after reading everyone’s experiences, it didn’t seem hard, but I just felt so nervous about it not happening. Would love to get a couple for the next two nights. I ran down to the GA area after to grab a handful of butterflies (I’m planning on grabbing a bag full on the last night when I’m actually standing underneath them). Then as I was coming back up the stairs to my section, Miller was back removing the camera he’d previously set up, so I went over to him and asked if I could get his signature. He was really very cute, and terribly nice. He seemed a little surprised that someone was asking for his signature, but I was just like; “I know it’s a little strange, but we love you over at Coldplaying.com,” and he signed my setlist. I asked him how he was enjoying the shows (he thought they were great), and how he was enjoying Australia (he loves it, but said he was still jetlagged -- not too badly, but still there). He was really awesome. It was a perfect night, and I really can’t wait until tomorrow. Just a great concert. "Jonny, you are the sea, upon which we three float." -- Chris Martin, Green Eyes

Yeah, I assumed there'd definitely be one tomorrow. Might be a question to ask the Oracle -- re: sound checks before every show. I'm heading off to bed now, so have a good sleep and I'll "catch" you tomorrow. Night.

I have a Media excursion on Wednesday in the city so I'll certainly have my eyes peeled. Wondering if they'd complete a sound check before every show?

Ooh, nice, Cobalt. Wish I'd had the time to hang out for three hours. I wonder if Crown would be a possibility? Or maybe the Mercure? There are like a thousand hotels in Melbourne...

Evening guys. Just one more day. As in, tomorrow. Slightly excited. They stayed at the Hyatt in Perth so that possibly might be the case here, too. Regarding arrival times, I'm planning on getting there after 7PM. Not too keen on seeing the support acts. The first two nights I have reserved seating, so I just plan on sussing out what the GA area is like for Thursday when I'll be joining the lines. cresting, hope you arrived safely. What time are you planning on lining up tomorrow?
