Yeeeeaaahhhhh.

It's funny how we can go years with only really making fleeting comments like "I want something new" and "Can't wait for the next album" etc., but when it comes to the time when we know we're going to get the next thing -- we really, really can't wait. This is both my favourite and most hated part about waiting for a new Coldplay album.

That's what I hope does not happen to me tonight -- leaving and then something being publicised. I'll be devastated. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that tonight and tomorrow, provided nothing substantial is announced in the coming hours, I'll be pulling an all-nighter. Breaking refresh buttons, FTW.

I'm hoping that's what we at least get today -- a release date, for a single or the album. Right now I'd be happy with either one. Obviously.

Extremely bad for our health. Although, to be fair -- they should also know I am entirely capable of dying of complete and utter happiness once this single/album drops. Just saying... :P

That is a very good idea -- I just can't help having their YouTube channel, Twitter, and website open, too. :P

My heart totally just skipped a beat when I saw there was a second tweet a few minutes ago. Of course it was only a re-post of the initial tweet to add in that The Pierces' album was out today in the UK. *breathes*

I'm wondering why all these videos are being uploaded to YouTube as unlisted... Anyone want to hazard a guess?

Hah. I don't think it's a certainty, but I mean -- we can hope, right? Or not. I'm okay waiting a little longer, it's just unbelievably hard. And yeah -- that was my second thought, thinking Guy was probably very capable technically. I'd imagine most of the guys are, though, given their jobs. At least I think they'd be fairly clued in as to what goes on during recording etc.

I don't know that "Christmas Lights" really would be indicative of what to expect. We know it was a special release -- as in, a once-off type thing -- but I don't know that its style is revealing anything about this next album. Or, well -- who knows. But, yeah. I'm thinking we might be getting something a little different.

Tecnicolor Sparks -- it hasn't been officially announced as the title, but it is certainly a possibility. I actually really like the idea of a song called "Trapezes," and agree that if it's not the title of the single or the album, I'd like to see it used somewhere else. I thought that was what Jack was getting at -- leaving it up to Guy to get something to us because of his propensity to leave things on buses and whatnot, as opposed to the rest of the guys who would "probably end up accidentily deleting the file". ;)

Definitely loving the lyrics. And the way you've put them together, Lexis. Man, I'm really pulling for a release, but I suppose an official announcement will suffice.

Without a doubt I will listen to it. Definitely.

Woot, woot! Finally got through and purchased the required 2x Event + Camping tix -- so excited! ETA: Holy crap, guys -- we'll be seeing Coldplay live in just over two months. Hells yeah! :D

Hah, yep -- can completely understand that. They'd really only recently left Melbourne before the "Sound Relief" show and I was so, so wanting to go, but it just wasn't going to work out. I was pretty devastated; having them so accessible -- in a way, I guess -- and not wanting to miss that. *sigh* July can't come fast enough, and neither can this new album.
