  19. I came up with this: CEMETERIES OF LONDON First, if you want the lyrics listen to the song or type them on google, I'm not gonna post them here for you. Chris and Guy once mentioned in an interview that with this song they get the image in their heads of the 18th century life in London, with witches being burned in public or someting like that (I don't remember exactly their quote, but I hope you get the idea). Thus you may believe the meaning of this song is literal, specially because of the atmosphere created with the music and Chris's haunting voice. I believe this whole thing is a metaphore, and it's about Man relationship with God and the spiritual life. For me this song is about how the human kind is constantly looking for the truth, trying to understand and give a logical explanation to everything that surrounds him. But there are some things no one can understand, like God. This song is about how everyone has an idea of God, everyone is looking for answers despite they have to deal with normal life matters -the morning is for sleeping-. On this request for spiritual balance religions appear, and with this the different interpretations of God <There are ghost towns in the ocean-the ocean is vast and varied->. But in the end it's always the same, and have always been the same, must fail to achieve that spiritual goal in their life, and do not understand God, or how the universe works or meaning of life. <There's no light over London today> I might be wrong, though, Chris could have written this just to fit twith the time signature and chrods. I hope I was clear.
