  1. also, i just tweeted this person asking if they actually had a leak so i'll let you know if i hear anything back.
  2. haha so i haven't posted in a very long time but ive been lurking a lot lately since i'm obviously still anticipating this album like crazy.. but i just saw the tweet about this wikipedia thing and then searched mylo xyloto on twitter (which ive been doing periodically to see if anyones tweeting about a leek or something) and a tweet came up from someone called robclark182 from an hour ago that says: "Mylo Xyloto. Currently downloading. This is big for me, cos' I really love that band. #coldplay" could obviously very likely be another fake or someone who thinks they have the album and actually dont but i was intrigued so i thought id share it.. sorry if i just end up getting peoples hopes up again!
  3. yea i was just gonna say if you play the past two videos at the same time they match up pretty nicely..

  6. haha i didn't say you couldn't vote for it... i completely understand that this is a coldplay forum so therefore, there are a lot of Apparatjik fans. but in MY opinion, it isn't a very good song and definitely wouldn't make a BEST track of the year list on any other forum which led me to think that guys involvement is what made the song so popular here. that being said, i also don't doubt that you really do think it's a 'brilliant song' so there's no reason you shouldn't vote for it.. i just have a different opinion.
  7. prettyyy disappointed with those choices... i don't even think that apparatjik song is good.. i feel like people just voted for it cause of guy.

  9. the shins! no concrete info yet but james mercer said in this interview that it should be out early 2010.. along with his side project with danger mouse. panda bear said in a recent interview that his next solo album should be out in 2010. also, the strokes are making their live return next year and have said they will be in the studio and january so there's a chance we finally get something new from them as well.. i'm definitely anticipating the new arcade fire the most but i'm also reallyy looking forward to some new stuff from the shins.. i think their new lineup will only bring good things.
  10. i think it should be out by may.. from the sounds of it, it's almost done or at least in the late stages so idk i don't see it taking over 5 months for them to get it out.. hopefully!
  11. yea is this a joke? these are some of the worst nominees i can ever remember the grammys having. usually theres at least 1 or 2 good albums in album of the year but these are just all awful. black eyed peas?? are you even fucking serious? unless they get some insanely good performers there's no chance i watch the grammys this year.. all i can say is go phoenix for best alternative album.
  12. they are being incredibly secretive about this album... i mean if dravs has been working with them for 6 months it must be pretty far along and they've literally said NOTHING about it yet. but i guess it just makes it that much more exciting... i'm definitely looking forward to this more than any other upcoming release. i just found this article.. it has a tiny bit more info. http://www.thevine.com.au/music/articles/arcade-fire's-third-record-confirmed-for-2010,-'better'.aspx
  13. neutral milk hotel. and the strokes need to come out with another album as a band.. no more solo shit.
  14. i ended up listening to fall be kind today.. i really like it overall. i think graze and what would i want? sky sort of stand out over the others but the others are still solid. i'd say on a highway is kind of the weak link but i do like the lyrics.. i love the second part of wwiws where aveys singing the verses with the beat in the background.. its so different than any other animal collective but it works with this song. it's really impressive how they can keep coming out with material that has a completely different feel to it but overall still has the recognizable AC style..
  15. oops.. forget this post it was an accident haha sorry..
  16. i downloaded FBK on wednesday when it leaked but i still haven't listened.. i've had a lot of work this week so i want to wait till i have nothing else on my mind to listen to it.. which will almost definitely be today thank god.
  17. lately school has been stressing me out a ton and just putting me in awful moods but whenever i listen to Winter's Love by Animal Collective i feel compltely better..
  18. cousins is pretty good.. i didnt really get anything out of it first few listens but its already grown on me.. still seems too short to me though. it's on itunes if you're willing to pay.
  19. i've been getting reallyyy antsy for new arcade fire lately.. do we have ANY info about the new album??
  20. final: 1. Merriweather Post Pavilion - Animal Collective 2. Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Phoenix 3. Veckatimest - Grizzly Bear 4. Album - Girls 5. Logos - Atlas Sound 6. No Line on the Horizon - U2 7. Wilco (The Album) - Wilco 8. Manners - Passion Pit 9. All About The Scrilions - Super Mash Bros. 10. Ambivalence Avenue - Bibio
  21. hahaha i was seriously laughing the entire time i was reading that... they absolutely DESTROYED andy gallagher. i'm so happy..
  22. Coldplay Give 1,000,000 pounds to Kids Company Coldplay Give Seven Figures to Charity It's easy to make fun of Coldplay, but not when they do something like this. NME reports that the Brit-rock giants have donated one million pounds to Kids Company, a London-based charity whose stated aim is "to provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people." According to NME, the band's members have also visited Kids Company centers, and they plan to give music lessons to the kids there. They're putting their mouths where their money is. Kids Company founder Camila Batmanghelidjh told NME, "They were moved by the tough stories they heard and want to be genuine participants ... I got the feeling the donation was something they had planned from the start of their careers." Keep in mind, Americans, that this total amounts to $1,616,809 U.S. dollars. That's a lot of money! http://pitchfork.com/news/36556-coldplay-give-seven-figures-to-charity/
  23. wow.. i really can't get over that show last night. going into it i wasn't even that pumped because its the fourth time ive seen them this tour and i was mad the setlist was still about the same but they blew me away... again. without a doubt the best ive seen them on the viva tour. i was driving this morning blasting viva la vida and fix you and litii live and i just kept getting the biggest goosebumps thinking about last night.. but some other things i remembered about that concert that i thought were cool.. i loved at the end of violet hill when chris kept making up lyrics at the end of the song... i remember he said something about the show before being theyre shittiest show or something. i also liked how when the viva la vida remix was ending he played the ohohohohohhhs on the piano. but really all i have to say about last night is wow. btw if anyone heard the obnoxious people starting the ohohohohohhhhs from viva while walking out of the concert... that was me.
  24. heyy guys... haven't posted in awhile but i still fucking love coldplay so here i am again. the show was real good. it was my sixth show and definitely up there with the best. i'm kinda brain dead right now and don't really know what to say BUT LiTii was probably my favorite.. it was the first time i'd seen it live which made it even better. chris altered lyrics more than usual by singing something about the loud new england/boston crowd or something.. i don't know if theyve been doing it at every show but when they were on the C-stage chris sang like a mini song about new england or something. overall it was really good but i'm still disappointed that theyve kept the setlist essentially the same for over a year... this the third time in the past year i've seen them in just the boston area and i just feel like if theyre gunna keep coming back they should at least change things up and maybe play a few older songs but thats my only complaint... im done.
  25. hmm idk whether i should buy tickets to the boston show or the DC show. i'll be at school in DC in september so i'm thinking i'll go to that show but the boston one is on a weekend so i could always come home for it...
