  1. Finally something new to be excited about!!! Don't get me wrong, deciphering lyrics this past week was fun, but I am now exited for tomorrow. I was so sure it was just gonna be a hits setlist. Although they still could not play it, so don't want to get too excited. But its really hard not to be! Fingers crossed for tomorrow :fingersx:
  2. A Neck Hugged By Scarfs. New title confirmed.
  3. Exactly right! I was trying to say this as well but kinda lost that point lol. Love songs are great, but they are even better when the lyrics have a twist to them. Great post!
  4. I love when lyrics don't seem to make much sense, and are a bit more abstract. For example, most songs on Ghost Stories have simple straight forward understandable lyrics. Now take X&Y or Viva for example. Speed of Sound has some great abstract lyrics that don't seem to make sense. "And birds go flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began". I mean, you can understand and picture it, but at the same time its just really abstract. Same goes with Violet Hill. The lyrics are just really different and awesome. Also, I don't mind songs that are about love and stuff, but I like when they have nothing to do with it sometimes. There is nothing wrong with simple lyrics, and I love GS, but I love lyrics that are more abstract and make you try to interpret them. Try to figure out what they mean. End rant lol.
  5. From Chris' pants he wore at the iheartradio festival last week.
  6. There are a lot of fans who say that every album could be their best, but if these lyrics are any indication, I could see this being their best, or at least considered one of their best. Obviously it's too early to judge, as we haven't heard a single note of the album, but the lyrics we have seen are just awesome. Hopefully they don't end up like the lyrics on the MX cover and we never hear them. I'm excited for the GCF in 2 days so we can see full HD shots of the band's clothes. We will definitely be able to make out more lyrics. Unless the band decides to troll us hard, and comes out with their Ghost Stories attire with the Ghost Stories stage setup. That would be an entire new level of trolling.
  7. I hope so too. They are amazing.
  8. Oooh searching sounds much better.
  9. "Night watching for the water hoping" That's what I see for the last few lines after the crease in his pants.
  10. Barry! Love your avatar.
  11. Definitely. I can listen to this one clip all day.
  12. I don't know though. I think Chris had said that Guy came to him with the bass line and they wrote Magic from there. I think that was more recent too. This clip was probably recorded in late 2009/early 2010 or sometime around there. I guess Jon could have been messing around though and used part of that for inspiration for Magic. But yeah, either way I find this kind of stuff incredible.
  13. Interesting observation! And I always forget about A Spell A Rebel Yell. Such a great song. Very different from anything else they have done. I want more of those gems.
  14. Haha thanks. I know I would spend some serious money for something like this
  15. Exactly. And no one has heard the rockier Viva. Phil was talking about it in an interview a few years back. He just said that the song went through many different version including a more rockier one. I wish we could hear it though. However there is a snippet of an early version with more organs and different lyrics. Not sure if you have heard that one. If not, check it out here:
  16. Ahhh gotcha. I think I somewhat remember that now. Thats what it shall be called in my library now, thank you! Edit: also now that you said that, I can even hear it with the melody. Fits perfect!
  17. Oh I love that title so much. Where did you see that was the name of this particular track, if I may ask? I'm curious now.
  18. That's an even better idea. I forgot to mention that it would be like a 7 disc set, where each disk would be an era. Edit: You actually reminded me of a project I did for school last year. We had to make a CD cover, and I chose to remake X&Y as if it were being re-released with remastered tracks as well as unreleased tracks. This is what I came up with: All of the song titles are official songs from the X&Y era with an exception of 'Ultrasound'. I made that one up because the main art reminded me of an ultrasound, so I chose to call it that lol. Anyway, something like this would be awesome. Since they said that LP7 is a completion of something, they will probably go in a different direction after this, that has no connection with their first 7 LPs. This would force Chris to break his rule about keeping songs locked away, and then possibly using bits of them later on. He would be starting completely fresh after the AHFOD era. It would be perfect for them to release a giant collection with all 7 LPs as well as bonus unreleased material. I'm talking early stuff such as So Sad,'A View From The Top, a studio version of Moses, and other stuff we never even heard of. Of course this would include Lukas and Famous Old Painters, Don Quixote, Wedding Bells, Love In A Lethal Dose, Alien Radio, as well as.......dare I say it... Car Kids. Also they could have alternate version of songs, like Princess Of China without Rihanna, the rockier version of Viva La Vida, and a more acoustic sounding MX. Oh man the possibilities are endless and this would be so great if it happened, though I know it never will. Sorry for the long post, I have been thinking about this for a while now and just wanted to get it out somewhere. This seemed like a good time to do that lol.
  19. I would love for them to put out a collection of their unreleased material for their 20th anniversary or something like that. Seeing as how the band does not want to do greatest hits albums, and that's what record companies like to do, they should meet in the middle and put out an unreleased collection. I myself would pay a lot of money for that. But that will never happen so mine as well just enjoy these small clips that get put out now and then. I literally cannot tell you the amount of times I have listened to that clip I posted. I can't get enough of it! It's so captivating and sounds so great!
  20. I really want something like this for LP7. This sounds so magical.
  21. Love it. Love everything about it.
  22. Yup. Which means another day of bashing MX [emoji57]
  23. I think it's gonna be broadcast live on MSNBC if I recall correctly.
