Life In Technicolor ii - Video Premiere UK 4Music 20th Jan (##Video, Making Of & Interview: in first
Brilliant , Awesome and More Brilliance.!!! Hello, I just voted Brilliant . The song is great , It stirs up the memory of them behind the curtain before the Show began in Philly and the electricity in the air as the curtain when up. The video is AWESOME.!!! I liked your voices concerning the looks of the Puppets and their relation to the real players. It made me realize an important fact. Their images put aside , determine that ,what is " COLDPLAY " is their Sound . Not Chris Martin ,( He is great ) but The band as a whole , the sound , the Music , words and lyrics , B sides , albums and art . Their Concerts and electricity are what make Coldplay appealing to me .. The Blur front man , that called the band ( whatever , just alright is a jerk . and the same for Oasis front man who said _F____ Coldplay ,. He obviously can't handle their great success w/ the new tour and Album .. WAY TO GO COLDPLAY . You Have Done it again .. The Album , The Tour , The Video are all A+++++ . and what I got most out of the new Video , was KEEP " YOUNG AT HEART " , Thank you, Joey.

Oh Sh-t I forgot Welcome Douglaspaw . I've done the same thing . I worry so much about Pix , I 'm not diggin it like I should be .. At the July show we took disposables , so we did'nt have to worry and really got into the show like never before , But guess what ? the pictures sucked .. Its a double edged sword . I 've found the perfect match is a small venue , My digital Olympus Camedia , and a Picture friendly band.. Especially where you can get up close.. I grabbed some your pix , they were pretty cool. How far is Coatesville from the Poconos ?

This is from one who did'nt make the Nov 1st show but after lookin at everybodys great photos and Videos and listening , I kinda feel better . I loved the July show and what a freakin party.. Philly crowds rock. I am definately at the next east coast show , Feb. or whenever . Can't wait to see all the Coldplayers rockin again.. P.S. Definately check out the new " Verve " Forth " CD if you can . It's awesome.... Joey.

Coldplay: The Beatles of our Generation?
Beatlemania. Lets Remember , One of the biggest factors in what determines a legend or legends . And that is timing . The Beatles were incubating in the early sixties and actually started to break the charts in early '63 . Their domination of the charts and Invasion on the U.S.A. came at a time when we needed Heroes of any kind . We had just lost our beloved John Fitzgerald Kennedy , and were still hurting . Their mastering of the Pop Sound , The Big Beat , The Hit after Hit after Hit , made us all feel good and able to move on . They were more than loveable , from another country with different looks and different accents , They were here to stay , for their time ,and influenced , Band after Band , and Created a whole new social atmosphere that allowed the Sixties to evolve the way that it did . They left their footprint not only in the music world , But in the fashion and political and Spiritual world and yes , even the Comic world . They were in my eyes , having grown up with them , the Four greatest musicians/ songwriters who ever walked the earth. ( Mac is in the Guiness book of World Records for song writing . ) U-2 were awesome .. Thats that. I hope their new album brings them back and I'm sure it will . We named my 17 year old son /Drummer /Guitarist after the JOSHUA Tree. My favorite is Achtung Baby. Radiohead ? I know one song by them . Coldplay , Tell all your nearsayer friends to get a hold of B sides , any of their early stuff , or just listen to the OTHER Songs on the Albums , Not just the ones the radio beats to death.. Then just take in ONE of their LIVE Shows .. Guess what Rock and Roll Fans , They RULE the Roost . Their will never be another Beatles . But, Their will never be another COLDPLAY either.. Joey.

Coldplay: The Beatles of our Generation?
Beatles Successors. There will never be another Beatles in any generation. Coldplay is the current band that would remind me most of the Beatles. Musically , that is . I love them as much as I love the Beatles . I was probably about 7 years old when I heard my first Beatles song. I was 47when I first heard Coldplay . Ihave seen them 4 times since, and have almost every single , Cd , Poster , Magazine cover and whatever since. Their inspiration from the Beatles is obvious . Yes , they are already legends . Chris always mentions Paul MCcartney and He is the daring John Lennon musically of our time . Comparisons ? Unnecessary. Similarities ? Numerous . Musical Magic and Wizardry ? Constant . I grew up with Beatles and Love them dearly . But Coldplay I listen to every Day and Night .

Yes is simply brilliant!
Yes This is my Second favorite on the new album . Only to Cemetaries of London ,which I love because of the way it rolls off the opening , Life in Technicolor. Musically , The first inspiration I thought of when I heard this song was John Lennon . I think of him every time I listen to this song .It sounds like something he would have attempted and naturally with great success. Now for the trivia aspect . Does eveybody remember what the word was on the ceiling at Yoko Ono's art show ,one of the first times they met , when John went up the stepladder and viewed said word with the magnifying glass ? Legend has it , the positiveness of this word is what sold him on this artist/lover . Yes

Live Videos. Thanks for the videos Open6L. Who says you can't go back.. Thanks for the old pix Keek1. The Philly crowd definately rocked the house. Can you imagine the extra anticipation and energy from the month long wait because of the re-schedule. I never sawa band received so vibrantly in 37 years say for one show I remember at the Spectrum , where the crowd pressed us right against the stage after the house lights went down. It was pretty cool looking Sir Paul and Linda right in the eyes on the 1976 Wings Show.. The crowd and us dancing and singin reminded me of the Dance Concerts they used to have at the Spectrum. How about the butterfies confetti and the Viva La Vida backdrop . What a Fantastic album , What a great show. All the pix and videos are awesome . You guys are the greatest for sharing them w/ us. Thanx , Joey.

no encore Guess what , I was just at the philly show and the encore was Green eyes , Excellent surprise and a gift because my oldest daughter who's living in Philly has the most beautiful Green Eyes . She's the one that turned me on to Coldplay and the rest is , as they say History. Now , 30 years ago , I saw the Rolling Stones at JFK in Philly , Foreigner opened and they the Stones were awesome , Well the guy next to me says how many times have you seen them ? and i said this is the first , he said get out ,i've seen them a couple a times every time is better . So they do their last song , and the crowd is going crazy . They won't come back out . So I say to him , What the F --- . He's says Oh the Stones never do an encore . So that was probabaly the only concert in my 37 years of concertgoing , that the big name did'nt come back out . So especially in todays world of busy schedules and hectic lifestyles , we must understand , that an encore is a GIFT . It doesnt always pan out , There is so much shit going on that I'm sure they were'nt doggin , It just did'nt happen. Such is life , And all the more reason to look on to the next show . I just saw the FOO FIGHTERS in Philly in Feb, W/ my oldest daughter that I mentioned who goes to Temple and my brother in law who made the Coldplay Concert with me . It was awesome . One encore . Then I grabbed tickets for the Meadowlands show last week and Iasked myself , why am I going to see them , again , I just saw them 5 months ago. Well guess what , This show was a copmlete Fire cracker .. extra Goodies" Who "songs , alternate acoustic songs and 3 Encores and just an all around excellent to the max show , So don't worry about what did'nt happen , Look forward to your next trip, its most likely gonna be better .. Joey..

Very noticeable CCG. He had me a little scared in the beginning . Looked like he was gonna fly off the stage . But he settled down to make it another great show. Jonny , Will and Guy played effortlessly and Flawlessly . What a Party, The Philly and Northeast USA crowd always know how to Rock and Roll . The review by Dave was fantastic and I agree the beginning of Lost was awkward , Luckily it fell into place . I looked around and behind a couple of times and loved seeing everyone singing , I sang to every song ,except the Dubliner , did'nt know it . Thanks for the signs, They worked well as did the awesome Butterflies confetti and lights , Very nice to meet and party with Coldplayer friends and Coldplay lovers.. COLDPLAY , You've done it again !!! Thanks , Joey.

Philly Wachovia- TO FREAKIN NIGHT !!!!!!!!!! I'm pysched . I hope I wont' be the only one yellin out " Cemetaries of London " They've got to roll it out of the Life in Technicolor opener . They roll together so well.. Looks like they've been doing " Yes " . pretty steadily . My request for older , off the wall is going to be , " Daylight " and " MOSES". I was obviously watching the 2003 Live DVD last nite . I have a whole list of stuff , but I better keep it simple . Chris can sing MOSES to his Son. I got your message Jasmyne , We'll be looking for you and your mum.( You gotta remember I was singin w Chris Martin last nite ( The DVD) hence the brogue ) I hope I get a sign , I never got the return E-mail .
