18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
My confirmation came through at 10.38, but never received an email to say i'd got tickets either. Post hasn't arrived yet though so I can still hope (and pray!). Going to brixton anyway so maybe it's a bit greedy of me, but it would be amazing. I'll post again if anything happens... Thanks guys, well done!

I know it's stupid to get my hopes up, but did they arrive normal post or recorded recorded delivery??

Is it possible you put the wrong email address in by any chance (i'm terrible for doing that) did you get confirmation that your entry originally went through? Well done anyway mate, from reading your posts on here you come across as a genuinely nice guy, you deserve it! :)

Wear at a coldplay concert?
At the 2005 Crystal Palace gig I saw somebody turn up in complete Chris Martin outfit: Black fitted military shirt and trousers, white trainers, multi-coloured wristbands and even fairtrade symbol inked on his hand! I hope it was nobody on here?! I'm a massive fan and don't mind a bit military apparel from time to time but that was ridiculous...

Extra Brixton Tickets available NOW!!!
I think the people who have missed out again on here are being brilliant, I need to get some more of that spirit in me. When I found out that i'd missed out on the BBC thing yesterday and having not received a brixton email I couldn't sum up any positive words and was in a completely crappy mood with my girlfriend last night! You lot are saints and without trying to get anyone's hopes up i'd say just keep checking that link as they may still release more nearer the day...

Extra Brixton Tickets available NOW!!!
Ok, well if anyone who's going alone wants to do a meet up ( I don't bite!) then i'm up for that as I don't really want to go on my own... Mine starts with GA5 xxx (i'm a bit scared to give the rest of the code away)

Extra Brixton Tickets available NOW!!!
Got my confirmation thank god! The section says 'circle' what is that? I don't care even if it is upstairs, back row to be honest. This is amazing, especially after I had such a rant on the bbc thread yesterday. Only downside is i'm going on my own, I reckon I must have got the very last ticket today...

Extra Brixton Tickets available NOW!!!
I GOT ONE! In all the panic i had it sent to the wrong email address (.com rather than .co.uk) I've just been on the phone with ticketmaster trying to rectify it but may not receive email confirmation to print until tomorrow and won't believe it until then. I could only get 1 and phoned my brother to try and do the same thing but they had gone, feel terrible for him and now i'll be going on my own. feel strange, but obviously OVER THE MOON!

Warning Sign - True Story (Happened June 11th 2008)
You don't need to convince me of it's power, it's my fave song of all time and was partly responsible for me getting back with my little missus 9 months after I broke up with her!

How can anyone say that VLV is better than X&Y?
I'm not even really that familiar with Status Quo but i've got to say the very same thought sprang to mind when I heard DAAHF! That said, I still think it's by far the best track on the album and the little morph into The Escapist is just the icing. I think the point is that X&Y obviously had it's great moments (there were lots, Square One & A Message for me) but when it was bad it was bad. Apart from it being too long, some of the lyrics were ridiculously simple (swallowed in the sea) sounded rushed and well below CM's standard. I love the fact that new album has a less commercial sound and I think it shows an obvious growth and maturity, well apart from that lyric "just because i'm hurting, doesn't mean i'm hurt". What?!

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I'm sick and not afraid to say it. My confirmation email that day came at 10.38 aswell, I was so sure this time. Oh man, I hate the o2 but the disappointment of losing out on these 2 comps is making me just think sod it and buy a couple of block A tickets on ebay for dec 16th, what are they £400?! I'm visiting my Bro at Uni in Liverpool and seeing them on the 10th anyway, but we still don't know how good the seats are, they're likely to be miles away!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
yeah I was at the Koko gig and I said to my brother at the time that we'd never see them in a small venue like this again. Ahh. I'm still crossing my fingers for the BBC thing though...

Underrated Coldplay Songs
Oh and I know it's cheesey to say this now, but I would have loved a proper recording of Moses.

Underrated Coldplay Songs
Careful Where You Stand For You One I love Ladder To The Sun A Message Oh and strangely I was looking at the thread about what setlists people wanted from the forthcoming tour and shockingly a lot of people left oot Square One... Madness?!

Ok, i've resigned myself to the fact that I haven't won a Brixton ticket so i'm going to torture myself with this now. Arrgghhhh!!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
That Sandi sure is a lucky girl! The only thing i've ever won was the signed 7" singles box set from coldplay.com last year, i'd happily trade it for a brixton ticket though!! Ha ha, it's not really in the same league is it?!

Death and all his friends/The Escapist (song ) review

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Tomorrow has got to be the day, right? This is ridiculous, i've got my photography HND final exhibition to prepare for next week and i've felt crippled since thursday waiting for news on this! Arrggghhhh!!! Just out of interest, how many times did you lot on here enter the competition??

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Yep, what the hell is Mr Editors doing with her?!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Well, it was between 800-1000 people and it was the people who were in the queue at the Koko that morning got the tickets. There were some hardcore who had camped out from like 6pm the night before but when me and my brother arrived there were about 70 people there. I think they started selling at about 10am. They had said months previously on the site about a secret gig but the venue wasn't announced until 3 days before. It was brilliant, I was practically against the barrier at the front but quite a way off centre. Bumped into Chris Moyles and Edith Bowman (unfortunately) that night, well it was a Radio 1 thing I spose!

Brixton: who has won tickets?
Did anybody here go to the Koko gig the day X&Y was released? I thought that was a much fairer way of doing it as you had to show more commitment than just sending a bloody email and hoping. I took the day off work and was in the queue from 5am, people couldn't sell there tickets either as they attached the festival style wristbands. £20 to see them in there was amazing...
