I was there on Friday, amazing performance as always, but having seen them 16 times now the whole confetti and bouncy balls thing really is wearing a bit thin. For me the best bits are still when it's just the four guys standing around playing tunes (Warning Sign was sublime :D ) and I crave a return to what i saw in the early performances. Glow bands create an awesome spectacle but they should just remain a feature of this tour, I think otherwise in future we are all in danger of OD'ing on Lasers, Confetti, beach balls, fireworks and inflatables!!

For me it just doesn't seem to flow very well, of course there is a theme but the scenes seem quite badly edited together... Or maybe i'm just not smart enough to get it?! Rihanna just isn't very convincing /enthusiastic either. I gave it a generous 6 out 10 because i liked the concept but I just don't think it's executed as well as could of been. Also I think this vid demonstrates (like much of what we've seen in MX era) that our boys have become a little bit confused of who they're delivering to... :\

Very nice, in fact a whole lot nicer than the awful boots the band are wearing themselves this tour! :laugh3:

Agreed, the great video at least gives me something pleasant to think about whenever i'm gonna hear this song (which i hate).

I got my standing tickets yesterday thankfully, but I wouldn't worry you lot they will release another 2 dates, either later this morning or next friday. They just don't want all the standing and lower tier tickets to sell out straight away and be left with lots of higher tier tickets.

So standing tickets are definitely standing are they?? I selected standing but my receipt says floor row 59! But then in description it says 'no under 16's permitted in standing section'... Why make it so bloody confusing?

This short review hardly comes from a reliable resource does it and the fact that there is now talk of hip-hop influences throughout worries me quite a lot. Oh and for some reason the name of the poster suggests to me someone who puts an unnecessary positive slant on everything in life! Probably Coldplay are like her 25th favourite band or something as well... the bit that really makes me laugh is that she is claiming it is their best album to date having listened to it once?!

Of course we need to hear studio version, but already you can tell UIF is definitely a nice little song to add to the catalogue. I don't think it is by any means a classic though... :\

I really hate Eno now. That 10 commandments proves he's a ****! ETIAW has grown on me somewhat, but Paradise will for a long time remain a dent in my appreciation for our beloved band. In fact it is so bad, that when I copy the new album to itunes in October i believe I will actually untick the box for this track so that it doesn't copy and then I never even have to chance hearing it on shuffle. Saying that, I still believe there will be a few gems on the album and if Up in Flames is half as good as it is being big up to be, then surely we are in for a treat.

That is a nice story :) I'm glad your friend took a copy of AROBTTH along to sign as well, I think that CM more than anybody perhaps needs some reminding of what exactly made that album was so great...
