  1. Okay, I thought I'd try my hand at Coldplay fanfics because I love the ones I've read here, especially School Boys and the Wizard of Oz spoof. However, this one isn't a slash with the guys, it's about Guy and, well, Arlene...because as we all know, those pics that were shown a couple of months ago were very suspicious. So, here we go with more mushiness and Coldplay references throughout! "One I Love" The way she talked, the way she walked, the way her blond hair bounced, even in a ponytail...all the cliche ways to describe a girl a boy was smitten for was what was running around in Guy Berryman's mind. Oh, and that smile, the one that he had to Twit about was what always caught his attention. Arlene Moon, a member of their management ever since they had started up the Viva tour, was the lucky woman of his admiration. Yes, things had been going smoothly with Jo and he'd always love her but because she had been his first love. It was over between them and despite the love he held for Nico, their little girl, there would be no chance of getting back together. Grammys 2009 He was sitting there, just leafing through some pictures he had gotten developed, waiting for their performance. They were to be on after U2, undoubtedly the world's largest rock band and their inspiration. No worries, no worries, thought Guy. God, he wanted a cigarette so badly at that moment. Arlene came in their dressing room, with a box of Connect Four in tow. "Hello, Guy." "Hi, Arlene. Connect Four, wow. Haven't played that since primary school." "Do you want to start a game while you wait for your performance?" Guy smiled. "Sure, let's have a go at it." For about an hour, the two of them battled it out. Phil Harvey, Coldplay's unofficial fifth member even took a picture of them playing for the Twitter updates he was giving. And then, before he knew it... "Guy, c'mon, we've got to start getting ready," said Jonny. "Oh, now I don't want to." He eyed Arlene and the game with regret. "Go on now, you've got to go upstage Bono. You may have won this game, but I will win the battle, Mr. Berryman. Rematch?" "Very soon. Thanks, Arlene." "Anytime." Ever since they had connected four together, Guy found himself constantly at Arlene's side. They were always talking, always bonding. She would go with him whenever he ventured out to go find rare 45s for his jukebox or whenever he was in need for a fresh pack of cigarettes, which would result in Arlene telling him that "Those cancer sticks are going to kill you one day." He would even show her his photos, way before anybody else. Yes, Mr. Berryman, the sexiest, most desired member of Coldplay, perhaps even more so than Chris Martin himself, was falling in love for the second time.
  2. I had some fun one day. Sorry if it's too small; trying to fix that. :)
  3. ^^LOL, god he's so freakin' sexy! :D
  4. here's a sexy pic of him... :)
  5. I think he's just jealous that Coldplay has: A much cuter lead guitarist A much hotter bass player A more handsome drummer ...and a definitely better-looking singer! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VySCV62cweg&feature=related]YouTube - Oasis "Unreleased" Songbird in HD[/ame] This is the best mockery ever.
  6. Aww, it was so amazing! The weather was beautiful, Pete Yorn was really great and my homemade Viva jacket seems to just keep doing its trick. My friend Kathryn came with me and my family (it was her first Coldplay!) and as we're walking to our separate seats, these two girls came up to us and started to gush over my jacket, along with the homemade Viva tote bag, my 'Strawberry Swing' shirt and my Jonny hat. They took pictures with their iPhone and then told us to close our eyes. They proceeded to give us tickets in the pit. My parents and sister were on the lawn and I told them that they were diehard fans as well. We switched tickets with my mom and went down. A few minutes later, my sister comes with an orange wristband! My parents took our actual physical not-lawn seats. Howling Bells and Pete Yorn, amazing. The three of us had a great time. Still, the butterflies during 'Lovers in Japan' were magical and 'Strawberry Swing' and 'Green Eyes' were my personal favorites. There were too many rude and / or drunk people there in the pit, but it was good. We all bought shirts and I got some stickers for my car. Chris' dragon was adorable! Saw Roadie 42 and loved the fact that they used the Grammy 'Sgt. Pepper on acid' jackets during the encore. We all got CDs, made it out of the parking lot quickly and was home at midnight. Coldplay, we will miss you but we'll see you whenever you come back. And, one thing, at school, this guy that told me he was going said he had a nice time and then starts to tell everyone that Coldplay only played three songs from the Viva la Vida album. Uh, yeah. You're a really great Coldplay fan, eh? Whatever. I do have pictures, many pictures to be uploaded later.
  7. I think we're in for one of the greatest nights of our lives! Any meet-ups yet? My friend is a fan, but she knows I'm uber-obsessed, like everyone else here and I think it'd be great if she met some fellow Coldplayers!
  8. I bought my tickets, section 301, but I don't care. My friend is uber excited to go. We're hoping to find roadies and I'm so glad I live so close to Nissan! :D
  9. I need to wait for my dad to buy the tickets. I'm dragging my friend to Nissan Pavilion (it's her first Coldplay!) and we don't want lawn. I'll probably walk over to Nissan the concert day; I live like three miles away. :)
  10. He looks genuinely happy. If this girl is making him look that freaking hot with that smile, then she can keep being involved in his life. :)
  11. I've been wondering all morning...
  12. Happy Birthday, Chris! Oh, don't cry! You're still ten years away from being 42! Have a great day!
  13. Wink=adorable! Radiohead w/ USC Marching Band=awesome! :D :D :D
  14. I'm very excited that they've won two Grammies. Of course, Joe Satriani won't be, but hey, COLDPLAY DESERVED THE GRAMMIES! And, yes, I really wanted them to win Record of the Year... Radiohead won best alternative music album. Yay. :D And as much as I like the Boss, I really think 'Violet Hill' deserved to win best rock song, not 'Girls in their Summer Clothes.' I'm staying tuned; must see Radiohead. P.S. Paul McCartney & Dave Grohl... :)
  15. Aww, they all look so adorable! It's been awhile since I've seen them in normal clothes! Chris looks amazing, Will looks really nice in that suit and Guy... words alone cannot describe him! That leather jacket / tight jeans combination... mmm. Hope he wears something similar tonight! :D
  16. Ah, I am so currently obsessed with Pablo Honey. Such a nice great first album.
  17. I'm really hoping Kate Winslet gets her Oscar this year. And then... Ricky Gervais' prophecy will have come true... I love 'Extras.'
  18. Six months had passed since the events of Z-Day. Shaun and Liz, along with the few survivors of London, were trying to get their lives back to normal. Shaun, after some discussion about it with Liz, and with an inheritance left from Barbara and Phillip's will, bought the Winchester. He was extremely ecstatic about it and the Grand Reopening was a success. 50 percent of the night's earnings were going to Zombaid. The two remaining survivors of Coldplay, and spokesmen for Zombaid, Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland came to perform during the reopening. Forget Oxfam; if anything had anything to do with zombies, Chris and Jonny were your boys. Shaun and Liz met Chris and Jonny the night of Z-Day, when the military was rounding up the survivors. The two not-dead members of the post-Britpop, Oasis / Radiohead hybrid had had their own zombie adventures… **Flashback to Z-Day** "Wow, Shaun. A dart in the head?” asked Jonny. “Yeah,” he replied. Shaun, Liz and the two Coldplay members were sitting together in an underground cellar with the survivors of the day. "It was a fucking nightmare. But what happened to you guys today?” asked Liz "We were in the studio, working on lyrics for our next album and Guy Berryman, our bassist- “ “Oh, is Guy the one with the curly dark hair and pretty brown eyes?” interrupted Liz. There was an awkward silence, but Chris managed to break it. “Yes, that’s our very sexy Guy. Um, go on then, won’t you Jonny?” “Well, Guy had a wound on his arm. He was acting weirder than usual but he seemed to understand what we were doing. In fact, he even contributed a really sweet bass part to one of our new songs! But then, all of a sudden, he snapped. Guy attacked Will Champion, our drummer. Chris and I tried to fend Guy off before he could bite Will.” “And fighting off Guy Berryman is no joke; I’m making it clear right now,” said Chris. “I tried beating up Guy with my, my… my Telecaster! I broke the neck of my precious Sophie!” Jonny actually started to cry. "Jonny Boy, it was only a guitar!” said Chris. “A guitar? Sophie was my 1974 vintage Tele! And Sophie was there through everything! She was there they day we recorded “Yellow”! How could you forget that?” “Moving on… Guy bit Will. We grabbed Will and locked ourselves in a small recording room, and tried to stop the blood. Jonny tried calling the medics, but the line was busy. Guy tried to break into our room. 20 minutes later, Will went zombie. Jonny and I ran for it." Jonny finished off the horrifying tale, despite the tears still coming down from his face. "Ken Nelson, one of our producers didn’t want to kill Guy and Will, and neither did we. So, for the time being, they're locked in the studio. We're trying to find out what we can do with them. They can still play, after all..." **End Flashback** Chris and Jonny had performed "Yellow", "Clocks", "The Scientist", "Trouble", "In My Place", "Everything's Not Lost" and "Don't Panic." The pub closed at around 2 a.m. Shaun started to clean up the mess. Liz had fallen asleep on a chair, and Shaun thought she looked so peaceful, he decided not to disturb her. Chris and Jonny stayed behind to help Shaun. "Shaun." "Yeah, Jonny?" "We need to talk zombie." Shaun put down the empty beer mugs he had in his hand and turned his attention to them. "In the back room. I don't want Liz to waken." The three guys walked to the "Private" room. Shaun shut the door. "What's going on, Jonny?" "Look, we found out there is a cure for zombification. "You've gotta be fucking kidding me!" Shaun immediately thought of Ed, but Chris snapped Shaun out of his Ed fantasies. "No, we're not fucking kidding you, mate. There is a cure," he said. “How do you know?” asked Shaun. “We found out from Ringo Starr,” said Chris. “Apparently, Macca had been bitten.” “Where did they get the cure from?” asked Shaun. “One William John Paul Gallagher,” said Jonny. “Better known as, Liam Gallagher,” said Chris. “Or that knob head from Oasis,” continued Jonny. “Oh, shit,” said Shaun. He, like everyone in England, knew of Liam Gallagher’s strong hatred of Coldplay. But, then again, Liam Gallagher hated everyone except for himself. “Apparently, Noel had been bitten,” said Jonny. “And Liam decided to take matters into his own hands and, well, let’s just say the people who gave him the cure are going to have free Oasis concert tickets for the rest of their lives.” “Wait, two things,” said Shaun. “What?” asked Chris. “A: Wasn’t Noel already a zombie? I mean, in some pictures the dude looks like Frankenstein.” Jonny and Chris tried to stifle a laugh, but failed. “A brilliant observation, Shaun!” said Jonny. “But, no, Noel was not a zombie and he’s not anymore. What was the second thing, Shaun?” “Um, doesn’t Liam hate Noel too? I mean, why is he so concerned about Noel’s welfare?” “Well, as many arguments as they’ve had, they are still brothers,” said Chris. “And the fact that Noel’s the main songwriter. If he was gone, Liam would practically be nothing. Sure, he’s written a few songs, but they’re not much compared to “Live Forever” or “Supersonic,” said Jonny. “Alright then… So do you have a plan?” Chris and Jonny exchanged sneaky glances. Shaun swore he could see a glimmer of something in both of their almost identical blue eyes.” END It's not great, but I was really bored. :S
  19. ^^ No idea on the links; a lot of the stories are here on the thread.
  20. I think I am going to post my Shaun of the Dead / Coldplay fanfic I've been working on for fanfiction.net. It's not the greatest piece of work, but it definitely shows my Coldplay obsession. :D
  21. ... Trying to deal with the fact that a little girl found him attractive... haha! This was so funny!
  22. These fan fics are great! It makes me want to finish my Coldplay / Shaun of the Dead one really bad. I think I shall...
