So I met the absolutely wonderful Carla, Chavi and Cooky this week in London. Absolutely wonderful people, and they told me to drop on by and say hello as we are all friends now! So hello! :nice:

Hey guys!! So me and Mich met Phil on Saturday the 19th as we were walking back from the hotel. He was leaning against a wall having a cigarette (boo :angry:) then he put it out and started to walk away. We drummed up the courage to go and say hello to him, and got our picture taken. He asked us if we were from Coldplaying, etc. The previous day I had given my "Phil is hot" badge to one of the roadies, who said she'd give it to Phil. I asked Phil and he said that yes he got it! And he gave it to his wife (she was freaked out apparently :lol:). Such a nice guy! We let him on his way :D!! Then at night we met him after the gig! He saw us and came over, shook hands, and asked if we enjoyed it. We were with a few other people this time and he asked whether we were from the board. He says he visits every day, but he doesn't visit the dodgey threads apparently :laugh4: :laugh4:. Will post the picture tomorrow :dance:.

My review!! Ok so better start with this review first, as it was the first concert of my England trip :D. After a glorious evening beforehand with other Coldplayers, meal and a few drinks, I'll admit, I was feeling worse for wear :laugh4:. I could see the venue from my hotel room which was cool, until they started testing the lights at like 1am which annoyed me greatly :P. Alas, I awoke at 6:30am after a few hours sleep and headed to the LCCC for the gig. The cab driver nearly killed me, but to be fair, it made me wake up. So we all queued up that day, conversation flowed, we did some podcasts, joked around, bit of football until we got told off. Bit of sunburn for Ian if I remember correctly :p. It was really good queuing up until about 3pm when as usual people started pushing itching to get in. Some of the girls looked really worried like they were about to get test results from the doctors. Pete looked like he wanted a beer. Ian looked like he was chilling out. Eventually the gates opened and after a bit of run walking, and saving places, we all got to the front :D :dance:. We waited a while until White Lies came on. The bass from their set nearly killed us all. Still, good band and very talented singer. Then we waited a while in the scorching heat until Jay-Z came on. He was very good indeed, great energy from the crowd. Towards the end of the set he noticed my Australia headband and gave me a shout out! This was the start of Jay-Z and myself becoming best friends (see the Wembley threads for more info :P). Coldplay finally came on, I won't bore you with details because its already been said. Was a great night, and being with Coldplayers really made it! :D After the gig me and Pete went for a drink, then said our goodbyes to Mel, Mich, etc. Then we went out for more drinks, and before we knew it , it was 4am in the hotel bar :laugh4:. We had some really good conversations as well haha, what a great way to end the evening!! Top bloke is Pete. And now for some pics... all have been scaled down to fit the site, if anyone wants HQ ones give us a shout :). Gig rating: 5/10 Positives: It was Coldplay! Negatives: Chris was sick (not his fault obviously) no Lost+, show didn't flow at times, limited crowd interaction, bass was too loud, lack of crowd energy.

Yes we all got incredibly soaked :laugh4:. A lot. It started just before Coldplay came on, and stopped about 20 minutes in to the set.

Ian and Jen, thanks for everything these last two weeks, thanks for all your hard work and support on the site. Its been an amazing experience. Thanks to all Coldplayers, you made the England experience truly spectacular. I'll be posting more in a bit but wanted to start here because truly, its the community here thats made everything possible :D. And a few words for Ian specifically: You mention special friendships... what about you and me :cry: I'm hurt :p. Hello everyone, Chris here! It's nearly 2am and everyone has to be queuing for the gig in a few hours. Doubt I'll sleep! Luck, karma, whatever... Amazing!!!

It wasn't anything dodgey, but we were in this adventure playground and you know those long swings you go on and slide to the end and slide back (like a fox flyer type thing) I went on one of those, accidentally lost my balance and got dragged along the floor :lol:.
