  1. I'm sorry, there must be better questions to answer than that :laugh4:.
  2. Here we go with the smiley posting again... :laugh4: :P.
  3. We will be podcasting LIVE at the scene from Manchester and Wembley on the viva crew twitter. http://www.twitter.com/vivacrew
  4. Cheers Ian, very much appreciated! Everyone: In about half an hour I'll be making an annoucement that will make the viva crew twitter 10x as awesome.
  5. Thanks for all your support guys, we've got 54 followers so far in the first 12 hours or so!!
  6. Me and Alison (RedGirl76) just tested out tweeting from multiple devices. We tweeted 4 times. Once from her mobile, then from mine, then from my computer, then her mobile. All worked fine, no problems :).
  7. Head on over to https://twitter.com/vivacrew in a few minutes to see.
  8. Oh I get ya now  I put in the post 'at the gig' so hopefully everyone is clear :D!!
  9. Oh yeah, I mentioned on the previous page that there will be no twitter updating or receiving by text message at the gig (its not logistically possible). I'll update the first post now.
  10. Yes it is , I'll give you the login details a couple of days before the event :D!! And to everyone: I have updated the first post with information on how to get web access on your phone so you can use twitter, and information for overseas Coldplayers on a cheap sim card for the UK :D!!
  11. Of course, if you are think about the gig on the 7th just get enough people able to tweet then let me know :D!!
  12. Hey everyone, I have some slightly bad news: Although twitter allows multiple devices to access the account, we can only send/receive tweets on one phone. However please be aware as long as your phone has some form of WAP/GRPS/3G or HSDPA web capability (which is all of them!!), you can still tweet and receive tweets. I have just checked and basically all UK pre-paid sims allow you to access the web for a low cost, by texting a number from your phone. Simple. If you are on an overseas sim card, you shouldn't be using data anyways because its costs too much! :P 20 ways to use twitter on your mobile.
  13. Yay cheers Mich and Min!! :D I don't think we'll have much trouble getting tweeters at this rate. Just gotta let the word spread so people can follow us on concert days :D.
  14. Glad to have you on board Anna!! (RedGirl76 put it this way, simply!) "Follow @vivacrew for VLV UK tour updates/pics from members of coldplaying.com all from the same account."
  15. I'll clarify it in the opening post in a second but... A fair few Coldplayers get given access to the account (which yes is possible) and they can tweet at the gigs via their mobiles. That way everyone at the big gigs (like Wembley) gets a clear picture of whats happening, and everyone not attending can follow the gig live.
  16. Hello to all gig goers, in the UK and overseas :D!! Twitter is now regarded as one of the best and easiest ways to spread news to the world, and for the upcoming UK and final leg of the tour (with the full backing from Ian I might add!) we hope to take it to a new level for Coldplay fans. A twitter account has been set up here: http://www.twitter.com/vivacrew. We are all the Viva crew. We hope that on the UK leg of this tour (with of course a little extra focus on Wembley) we hope to give lots of people access to this one account to tweet from. A main 'hub' if you will. That way eveyone can keep in touch of the news, everyone can give updates on the gates and queues, and then inside the stadiums we can live tweet the gig to other Coldplayers! This account will work alongside the twitter.com/coldplayingHQ account that Ian runs. ~~~ Benefits: 1) One centralized twitter account for all info & updates, people's locations, and gossip. And inside the stadium one place to live tweet the gig from lots of people to all around the world. 2) After the gig there is one place, one timeline, where people can relive the gig as it happened. 3) With lots of users using the same account, limited input once in a while from one person helps build a big picture. Talking of pictures... More pictures, more angles! 4) You get to keep your twitter account most of the time! Just log in to @vivacrew on gig days! ~~~ If you have twitter on your phone (with picture uploading preferable), your phone has WAP/GPRS/3G/HSDPA access, or you have access to the internet on a regular basis via other means, then we'd love you to be on board for the UK gigs tweeting from the @vivacrew account on gig days. A special call out to those going to Wembley where we hope to make this very cool if we can. Unfortunately not all Coldplayers will be able to make the "home" gigs, and this is for them as much as it is for us. If you'd like to help out, then send me a PM, or @ reply me on twitter at: http://www.twitter.com/vivacrew -Chris- Viva Crew Admin Follow @vivacrew for VLV UK concert updates/pics from members of Coldplaying.com, all from the same account. :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: A GUIDE TO USING TWITTER ON YOUR MOBILE/INTERNET DEVICE: 1) Every phone that has come out in the last 7-8 years has some form of web capability. These range from WAP (slow) to GPRS to 3G (fast) to HSDPA. 2) If you are on a paymonthly contract then some form of web access is most likely included, and if not, your carrier can add it on as an extra for a small cost. If you have a device such as an iPhone or Blackberry, you will have internet included as well as the option to download twitter applications. 3) If you are pay-as-you-go, carriers allow you to add on short term web access by texting a code, and the cost is deducted off your top up. Price ranges from £1-5 for short term use on networks such as Vodafone and T-Mobile. 4) If you have an overseas mobile when coming to a UK gig, DON'T USE DATA ROAMING, as it will cost too much. If you have an unlocked phone then get a cheap sim card, top up with a few pounds and use internet for the weekend (see below). 5) This article might help you more for specific phones: 20 ways to use twitter on your mobile. 6) If you have internet access via laptop or WiFi in your hotel or accomodation, you can use that to tweet from their and check the vivacrew updates if you wish. :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: WHAT TO USE IF COMING FROM OVERSEAS: If you are coming from overseas, get at T-Mobile pay-as-you-go sim card. Web access for 5 days will cost you just £2.50 :D!! Or a maximum charge of just £1 per day!! http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/free-pay-as-you-go-sim-cards/ http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/payg/boosters/ :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: :gossip: PLEASE NOTE: There will be no twitter updating or receiving by text message by anyone at the gig (its not logistically possible).
