  1. yeah I found the greek thing ridiculous. I seriously doubt the band thought of exactly what their poses were supposed to be to give a hidden message, which even if it means little doesn't mean anything significant.
  2. I agree... I think that it's terrible how people are still trying to limit women to what they can do. It's funny because I remember seeing some sort of article that countries are a lot more prosperous where women have the same rights, which of course makes sense but I guess these countries or people don't like the idea of seeing women doing things for themselves or making decisions which is ridiculous.
  3. oh yeah... I've read the conspiracys... some seem much more convincing than others
  4. Yeah... the song just sticks out like a sore thumb on the album. It to me just has a very hardrock feel to it that is seen on The Bends. Also it's the guitar playing too that reminds me of a lot of the bends. There are more hard rocking bits on OKC like Airbag, and PA but it doesn't soley focus on that like Electioneering does.
  5. also foggy... I can hear a foghorn in the distance
  6. I feel it should've been on The Bends Doesn't really have much of that atmospheric sounds or mood as the rest of the album
  7. Boehner seriously needs to stop crying. It's very embarrassing, and also he's so self-absorbed. I would have to agree with you. It's the religious part of the whole thing towards same sex marriage (as well as womens rights/abortion), that is full of such controversy because people are too religious to only follow what's said in scripture. Funny because opinions on things said by the bible have changed over the years so why would God make a mistake in the first place, unless of course it's all just a bunch of BS that man made to control people... but then again I don't want to digress to religion. What doesn't make sense to me is that same sex couples getting married really doesn't affect anyone, so why should they make it such a big deal to prevent people from doing so. I mean like for example do I really care who any one of my family members marries? not at all... so long as they're happy that's all that matters
  8. I think he's doing a pretty good job. I mean considering what is going on in the country especially with the economy I think he's doing the best he can. Though of course I still wish that for healthcare he didn't focus on that as much as trying to get more jobs. On the topic that you brought up I think it's good to make that unconstitutional. I really don't understand what the big deal is that same sex couples cannot get married, or for that matter not be under the same health care plan. What does it really matter if they are the same gender? If those two people love each other and want to get married, then let them do so. I think of course there will be a lot of people that of course think this is a step in the right direction, but I think there also will be a lot of people severely angry about it (probably also citing that it is wrong because it says so in the bible... because of course we all know how accurate the bible is ) Basically I say let people do what they want to do and marry who they want to. Why destroy the happiness they have with someone else?
  9. gas here is like 3.70 a gallon... I hear it's going to get to $4 next week.
  10. That's disgusting. So let's say god forbid a girl gets raped by like her father or other family member. She would be forced to have a baby regardless. Plus miscarriages happen a lot, and many times not for there being any human involvement, which the article brings up. This is just another law to try to control women and not give them the choice of having a baby or not which is wrong. ...stupid southerners.
  11. Thanks! :D yeah that's how I feel. Also in terms of it's mood and sound I feel that the song works well on the album. The only song I don't like or feel works on the album is Electioneering
  12. I don't really think I have an accent so I'll go with No. But my mom and aunt have I guess a somewhat strong New York accent, well at least compared to the rest of my family.
  13. I personally can't see it being better than OKC or most of their albums, but that's just me.
  14. I enjoyed that song she played at the Oscars
  15. Thanks! :D I don't think it's bad. I mean The Bends is a great album, though I still love OKC more. Now if you were saying you liked PH more then that's a different story :P
  16. I'm booing him because I think that Rush should've won
  17. Geoffrey Rush should've win he was so good in The Kings Speech
  18. The King's Speech 10/10 ..honestly one of the best movies I've seen in a long time
  19. new official picture of the band ...still so surprised they've been so quiet.
  20. I like some parts of Morning Mr. Magpie. But the beginning of it sounds so nasty, raw and grubby that I can't get into it. Not a fan of the guitar bits. It does get better during the chorus however.
  21. OK :computer:
  22. I agree... it seems it's human nature to wait until the last minute to do anything. If anything perhaps these skyrocketing prices might have people to change since they won't want to pay $5 a gallon (I heard we'll probably hit that by the summer) With people already tightening their belts with the economy, this is only going to make things much worse because now all that extra money that you get from your job will probably have to go to transportation rather than paying bills.
