  2. briggins sent me this performance... sooo good! [ame= ] [/ame]
  3. my current ringtone is this [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlKC1Q9kWaY]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlKC1Q9kWaY[/ame] the early part of the intro coming on music (but really amazing quality audio)
  4. ^I'm definitely going to be listening to more of that band... I really was impressed by their performance, and listening to songs now I'm really enjoying it!
  5. was extremely impressed by Karkwa... will definitely be checking their music out really soon! Also Owen Pallett is such a talented musician. He reminds me a lot of Andrew Bird.
  6. i'd have to disagree with you guys that don't like the city. I mean I love going... I feel there's so much energy and it has a great vibe to it when walking around.
  7. I read this at pitchfork and thought it was really cool/awesome! http://pitchfork.com/news/40106-download-phoenixs-iwolfgang-amadeus-phoenixi-multitrack-and-remix-the-album-yourself/
  8. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/entertainment/breakingnews/radiohead-going-back-to-the-studio-to-take-stock-of-new-recorded-material-103289189.html  this is so exciting! We may be on the brink of LP8 :D  also I recieved this in the mail today:
  9. look what came in the mail today! :D
  10. that's a good idea... or another option... you could also get a hotel/motel outside of the city and then just take the train into grand central.
  11. I agree... like I mentioned earlier I went to Montreal this summer and it was something I never did before or went to before and it was great! So I agree and think it's good to go places you never been before.
  12. I think the hotel that I stayed at was like a $120, and I think that was more of the inexpensive hotels, but still was nice. Also it was convenient what hotel I had because it was less than a block from the subway, so when I went to the music festival it was so easy to get there and back. Also if you went to go Canada you have to get a passport... prior to 9/11 you could cross the border easily w/o any passport (from what i've read)
  13. great weather (sunny and relatively cool)
  14. my guess is #2 Parachutes and #1 Funeral-Arcade Fire I would normally have put parachutes at #1, but i'm not sure how many people put it so high up, and I do remember Funeral being in the top like 5 of a bunch of lists
  15. I'd say go with either Boston or NYC. The only thing is that there are a lot of things to see in NYC, so I feel at least that it's something to spend more than a day or so. Then again it might give you a reason to go back at a later time. Either way I say go for it. I pretty much never travel and I went to Montreal this summer and it was great! Definitely something I'd do again.
  16. also Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses... got I love this song [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shUbr-Wvv0A]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shUbr-Wvv0A[/ame]
  17. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj1fri11GbA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj1fri11GbA[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NgrFWx5pp8]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NgrFWx5pp8[/ame] professionally recorded videos!
  18. uhh... never really watched either one (except a few bits here and there) :worried:
  19. i'll have to check those out... gotta love ambient music
  20. excellent choice of a song... one of my favorite pieces by eno (though I haven't really heard much besides his Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks)
