  4. if you go to the website of the movie you can hear some of the music from the soundtrack... http://www.stonemovie.com/stone.html also today 3 years ago In Rainbows was announced on DAS  ...and yet it's still been almost 3 months since the last DAS post
  5. talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!
  6. yeah... he was pretty awesome! Honestly one of the most unique and fan-participatory sets I've seen (even though he only played like 3 songs). I was going to see The Morning Benders as well at Osheaga, but like briggins said I also went to see Rich Aucoin
  7. I'm surprised as to how many people payed nothing :P I guess I spent the most money then as in bought the boxset which was 40-pounds which translated to $80 USD. Kind of pricey but I really wanted to get CD2, and also the actual boxset is pretty sweet with giving the 2 cds, 2 vinyl discs (that span the original cd), as well as 2 booklets... one that has lyrics and the other that is the same booklet as the reguarly released cd, but as if you took out all the lyrics. And then I also bought the album when it came out on CD a few months later too  It's funny you posted this thread especially considering the album was announced 3 years ago today.
  8. I personally wouldn't consider that an EP... 60 minutes is way to long to be an EP... I guess it really must be going by the definition of Extended Play...haha. I say we count it... even possibly other regular EP's too.
  9. 1. For a single I typically like to have a few b-sides 1-3. Acoustic performances are cool or demo work is cool especially if it's a band i'm interested in. In terms of remixes on singles I think it depends if I like them or not. Some are good/great, others not so much. 2. I find instrumental stuff good especially when the arrangement of a song is interesting/complex. Never been a fan of radio edits... take important aspects of a song (even if it's only 10-20 secs.)
  10. I think that artwork is important. I feel that it often can help to set the mood of an album, and I really enjoy looking at the artwork when listening to an album, or opening an album for the first time. Of course it's about the music most of all, but I still think it's fairly important.
  11. I'm confused with the wording of the first question. I like sometimes hearing instrumentals though it depends on the song. In terms of radio edits, not so much of a fan.
  12. Possibly direction/sound to LP8 http://www.boffo.com/2010/09/norton-talks-de-niro-radiohead-at-variety-screening-series-in-la.html
  13. ^those are awesome!

I took a philosophy class in college and found it very fascinating.
  15. These are the two last dreams I had that I remember over the last week or two The first dream was Radiohead related (of course), and I dreamt that I went on DAS and saw they announced the new album. The weird thing was that the album was a soundtrack to some sort of video. So I was so excited that I tried to contact as many people as I could as well as a few people on here, but I couldn't get in touch w/ anyone. While I was doing this my internet connection was going in and out so I was missing part of the album, which drove me nuts... so I guess in some sense it was more of a nightmare than a dream :P But I will just let you know ahead of time from that dream that the album sucks and is extremely boring, so be prepared :P My other dream was really strange because I was with my siblings and we were having a picnic. The thing that was really strange was that my dad's parents were there, not talking but just smiling at us. The thing is that I never got to meet them or anything (died before I was born).
  16. Thank you sir! :D As do I of yours.
  17. That's awesome! Actually at my show Brendan Canning and a few other members actually went crowd surfing, which was really cool.... but nowhere near me
  18. my dad sent me this a few days ago... thought it was pretty cool/funny
  19. Not sure if there's a thread, but I figured it'd be a cool thread to make to see what songs people have really been into and perhaps it might get other people into songs. Here are some songs I've been into: [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G82q8Yds0hA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G82q8Yds0hA[/ame]
  20. There were so many good albums this year. I think that my top 4 is going to look something like this (of course it might change, but at this point I'm pretty positive that those 4 will stay in that position... that is unless an amazing album gets released before the end of the year.... possibly LP8 ;) [wishful thinking :P] 1. The Suburbs-Arcade Fire 2. Teen Dream-Beach House 3. Forgiveness Rock Record-Broken Social Scene 4. High Violet-The National
  21. I really like the song Satellite a lot!
