^that's why I love the second side of Abbey Road the songs from Because to the end of the album flow so well... honestly i'd have to say my favorite 20-some odd minutes of music ever.

DID Presents: The Battle of the Album – The Decades - 1960s -The Results
would've liked to see Abbey Road win it, but #2 and the Beatles winning most of them... I'm still quite happy :)

Radiohead
that's not that long really. I'm fine with that length. I was afraid that we might not get a new album for at least another year.

I rarely put my itunes on shuffle, but i will jump around from song to song when listening.

Neon Bible or Funeral
My Body is a Cage... the build up of the song is quite intense. Also The Well and the Lighthouse... but I'm a sucker for strings so...

I want to expand my music horizon!
I agree... both are probably the easiest to get into.

I want to expand my music horizon!
I was thinking about jumping in and mentioning them, but I thought it'd be too cliche of me  :P I'd recommend listening to Beck... each one of his albums is different in style from the next so it helps to find what style of his you like best.

Blonde Redhead
Is anyone else into this band? I like their album 23 a bit. I still have to listen to it more. these are my favorite songs: [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] Also recently they released a new song. I think it's pretty good... Neon Bible or Funeral
I like Funeral more even though I probably listened to Neon Bible more times. Funeral is a very solid album, honestly there's no song that I dislike, they're all great! Neon Bible however has songs that I tend to skip or haven't clicked (Antichrist Television Blues, Intervention, Black Wave). my favorites on each... Funeral: Neighborhood #3, Rebellion, Haiti, Neighborhood #4, Une Annee Sans Lumiere Neon Bible: The Well and the Lighthouse, Black Mirror, No Cars Go, My Body is a Cage, Ocean of Noise

Radiohead
yeah I read this. He also said he's optimistic that they are weeks away from the finish line (in terms of recording). well this is excting! Good to know that there's a chance for a new album this year!

Coldplayings favourite songs that are 4th on the tracklisting of an album of ALL TIME
you have Summertime Clothes twice ...no Twilight Galaxy-Metric? it was a bit tough to narrow it down, though I think that openers/closers would be much more tough

The 6th Mixtape Exchange (closed for entries)
I agree.

The Beach Boys
I really like this band a lot. Unfortunately I'm more familular with their hit songs. Still no denying how important/great they were in the 60's... still I'm a bit sided towards the Beatles :P

Coldplaying's Albums of the Decade: RESULTS
never liked it. one of the worst Coldplay songs IMO

Radiohead
I'm mixed about it all. Outside of the band they have lives, families, side projects, and other things going on. At the same time I agree that it doesn't seem like they are putting in a full week. I mean they have been taking their time especially since there are no deadlines. The gap between HTTT and In Rainbows was almost 5 years which is insane. The band is known for being perfectionists, but there comes a point when enough is enough in trying to perfect a song. Taking into consideration the time they spend recording, the songs they have played (Present Tense, Open the Floodgates, etc), and also songs from the list, not to mention songs we haven't even heard anything about it feels that they have enough songs for 3 albums. Of course whatever they release it's not going to be lengthy (they felt that HTTT was too long & it was 14 songs). I guess what is most frustrating is the lack of information we are given. I mean for all we know they might have not even started recording (though I know that's not true from what band members have said). It would just be nice if they let the fans know at least a little to what is going on. I mean even a photo in the studio or a tiny cryptic message would be good.

COLDPLAYING'S FAVOURITE DEBUT ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!: EXTENDED Deadline for Lists: 8TH AUGUST at 22:00
it is a coldplay MB after all so I think either way Parachutes will be higher than it probably should be. not saying I don't like Parachutes, it's definitely one of their best albums.
