  1. Headphones... listening to music through them sounds so much better.
  2. personally I'm only counting full length albums. like Arcade Fire released an EP before Funeral, but I still am counting Funeral as their first album since it is their first full length album.
  3. Do solo artists count? Like if I wanted to include Paul McCartney's/Panda Bear/Thom Yorke/Etc. first solo album? I'm definitely going to up updating/changing mylist: there are a lot of debut albums I have yet to listen to still.
  4. ^I think that's the point for people that think they are overrated, or don't understand them. Perhaps the Beatles don't do anything for them or they sound too simple or whatever, but if you take a listen to what came out before them and how they shaped music, it's clear how important they were to music and changed it forever. I mean try to imagine listening to songs like Tomorrow Never Knows, Strawberry Fields Forever, I am the Walrus, when no one had ever done what they did. If you don't like the band... fine. But you cannot deny how they are one of if not (most likely) the most important band ever.

  6. ^very nice! It reminds me of this: [ame= ] [/ame] (This is a cover... it was either Thom or Jonny that played this on piano when they did a little interview a few years ago)
  7. I do have to agree with the chorus bit in LIT. I felt that the "ohhs" took a bit away from the song. I still love it though, as well as LITII
  8. DAAHF is still really good as well as 42 (both were great live), but I find I slightly cringe when those parts come around. I feel they could've been better
  9. Death and all His Friends could have been one of the best Coldplay songs, but then they had to go and ruin it with the part of "I don't want to battle from beginning to end..." same thing with 42... it was such a great song until "you thought you might be a ghost" I like LIT, Reign of Love and Strawberry Swing most from VLV
  10. I see what you mean. Emotionally some parts were gripping, other moments I was creeped out, other moments I didn't know what to think. some more to post... this time from The Beatles: [ame= ] [/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdyDZYjJ-a4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdyDZYjJ-a4[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEpaBLhcchs]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEpaBLhcchs[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFRVRdFIcbY]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFRVRdFIcbY[/ame]
  11. ^I have yet to see it. The first one was so good I feel they should've stopped there.
  12. I only listened to this one once... really good for a first listen! Must listen to it again.
  13. ^beautiful! I can't believe I've never heard of/listened to this before! edit: listening to the rest of this it's really weird towards the end especially how the piano sounds all out of tune. kind of creepy.
  14. ^I agree and I haven't even listened to the album :P I mean at least from reviews from critics and and overall view it doesn't seem like it was such an impact of an album. I think honestly we should've waited a year or two, or even 5 before doing a best of the decade list. Especially since people are still digestion or obsessed with albums from last year, it probably skewed people's judgment on overall albums, but that's just my opinion
  15. 3 Chairs, or some title like that. I remember seeing that in my Art History class. It was supposed to be the 3 kinds of chairs. A photo of one, a definition of one and an actual one.
  16. interesting looking chair
  17. "I'd love to tuuuuuurrrrrrrrnnn yoouuuuuuuu onnnnnnnnn"
  18. good list happy to see albums like Devotion-Beach House, Guero-Beck, In Ear Park – Department Of Eagles, Pause – Four Tet... all overlooked albums
  19. This is sick/insane... updating an execution of a person via twitter? ...they might have well posted a stream of it on youtube since it seems they're trying to "keep up with the times".
  20. I was wrong about the Ed interview showbeing today. It was recorded today but will be played Sunday (from what I've read). Someone did say that they had a small clip from this interview where Ed says how "They're in the heart of it now", "it's the best thing they've ever done", and "it's very different from In Rainbows". It seems to me at least that being in the heart of it is that they are getting a lot of recording done at the moment. I feel though that we still won't see a new album until 2011, though I hope this interview will clarify and possibly hint at a sooner release. It is very exciting to see him think it is the best stuff they've done and how the album is different from In Rainbows. I understand the secrecy with the band but I feel that it's a bit ridiculous to keep us so much in the dark after in the past always posting things. Though that snippit doesn't have too much extremely substantial information it's great to get.
  21. it depends. I'd have to say overall pretending your not mad.
