  1. That's kind of what I was thinking when I suggested a video on the Social Group page - but photo's would be much easier to do! The collage could be tricky though - wouldn't someone have a lot of printing to do? Could we turn the photo's in to the digital thing that Carla suggested?
  2. That's an interesting idea... The creative types could make their own while us "less talented" types could choose an image that we find elsewhere...
  3. Yeah, I'm clueless about it too, but my very good friend Jeff is a Steelers fan, so I thought I'd cheer them on too. It's the first time I've ever even known who's playing
  4. I'm British, I couldn't add anything to a discussion about NFL :dozey: I just wanted to say GO STEELERS!!!
  5. Barack Obama is a lefty! And I'm watching TV right now and just noticed Gordon Ramsay is too
  6. That's a brilliant quote and my vivid imagination has some great pictures running through it right now!
  7. Go Steelers!!!
  8. Debs said she'll have more infor for us about the boys' reaction later in the week
  9. The sewing quote I've heard, but Rhianna??? I've never heard that one, what's that about? P.S. You okay, Chelsea? You seem a tad stressed tonight
  10. How about everybody sends "a flower" addressed directly to Debs at the PO Box. How they interpret "a flower" is up to them. Some might draw a flower, or buy a postcard with a flower on, or make an origami flower etc. Imagine if for weeks, she kept getting these little tokens of thanks from all around the world. That kind of trickle effect might be quite nice - getting a steady stream of stuff instead of one thing???
  11. Oi! Stop it! This is my thread and it is to be a jaffa-free zone!!! :P
  12. I fell on some concrete steps at work last Monday. Bruised my legs, really hurt my back, but the biggest damage was to my ego as it happened in front of one of my bosses :( In seven years working there it's the sixth time I've had to put my name in the accident book...
  13. I beg of you, do not bring the jaffa-obsession to this thread!!!
  14. I've always imagined hers is the kind of job you can do from home...
  15. The problem with the flowers is where we deliver them to - now that the project is over, sh'es not going to check the PO Box as regularly, and I'm not sure you can have flowers delivered to a PO Box anyway.
  16. There's an update in our user-group, guys, we're moving to a new location ;)
  17. Strawberry Swing 206 In My Place 197 + Viva la Vida 39 -
  18. Well on Friday night I suggested eveybody send a butterfly to one person with a message written on it. Then we attach the mine-butterflies to a giant print of Zemy's original project logo butterfly.People could send butterflies from the concerts or make their own and write a message
  19. Ok folks, Here's a thread to discuss the "you know what" for "you know who". I'll paste in some of the highlights from the Social Group pages. Please tell all your friends who sent a postcard to come to this thread to plan our thank you. The current fave idea is making a cd filled with messages of thanks to Debs for all her help with the postcards project. Taken from the Social group pages 30-01-2009 11:12 PMCris_Santos We could record ourselves saying "thank you from..." and join all the recordings in one solo file. Then we send her a cd or a mp3 player with our message! Or we can organize a whole 'Debs Wild radio show' with longer messages, some songs and our 'thank you' recordings 31-01-2009 05:33 PMZemy101 But i really like Cris' 'thank you' message idea, where we all record ourselves saying thanks and put it on a CD, I think thats really cool. And then maybe me or someone else could lay down a soft acoustic guitar piano track in the background, to play all the thank you's over the top to. And if we were to compile a CD, I could always have a go at designing the casing and album art or whatever. Anyway, these are just a couple of ways to potentially spice up that idea. 31-01-2009 07:51 PMApproximatelyInfinite i think all the ideas so far are really nice. i really like cris's CD recording idea, because we could all have our minute or so to say our bit, someone could burn it to a CD, and it would be done easily (it's an easy thing to do, i could write instructions and everything). i'm a big supporter of the CD-recording idea. it's not hard to do, and pretty much everyone with a laptop these days has a built-in microphone and a program to make voice recordings with. we could come up with a simple way for people with desktop computers or whatever to do it too, and it's such a simple process that i'd write instructions on how to do it for people that are clueles. everyone uploads the short clips to zshare, one person downloads them and burns them to a CD, and mails it with a nicely designed cover. 31-01-2009 07:55 PMZemy101 Well, the CD thing would actually be relatively simple. Get everyone with a microphone to record a short thank you message (no more than 30 seconds, roughly), save it as an MP3, and upload it somewhere. Then one person could download everyone's sound bites, and edit them together as one long track. And whatever music we find to go underneath it, if any, can be compiled with the thank you track and burned to a CD The design process would be relatively simple, too - just a nice simple front and back design, not much flare or fuss, an possibly even a design for the CD too - and there you have it. It would then be ready to mail to the PO Box, in one small package. It really is quite easy
  20. Oh wow! Congratulations! I've registered for the lottery but don't fancy my chances - didn't manage to snag anything for any of the lotteries/comps last year. Hope you can work something out with your colleague. It being half term makes it perfect for me. Fingers crossed for both of us!
  21. Mich, I've just looked at your sig - did you get tickets for the War Child gig???
