  1. Allow me to distract all the impatient types with this thread: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54230
  2. I know, I think I'm just the Queen of Low Expectations, and I imagined Debs would have far more important things to do. But if it's taking her a week, it must me more than just a quick total. All hail the mighty Wild! :D
  3. Anyway, back on topic. I've always thought people were getting too excited/carried away about how Deb might report back to us. I always just imagine a "You sent 100 postcards, the boys thought they were lovely" kind of thing... But then it occured to me this morning: why is it going to take her until the end of the week to just leave a quick post? That must mean "technology issues" like picking out photos or editing a video...
  4. Jon Stewart was great the first time - those "Camapign ads" were inspired. Last year he was ok, but that stupid writers strike held him back a lot. I loved that he brought the girl who wrote the winning song from Once back onstage to give her speech after the band played her off the first time!
  5. We haven't got that trailer over here - just one where they butcher "The Sun Always Shines On TV" by A-ha, with an edit that sounds like it's been done by a four year old.
  6. You could start your own thread for "living in England" questions! :D We'll all pitch in with answers!
  7. No, but he will be able to do a big song and dance number at the begining like Billy Crystal used to do. I like Hugh Jackman, I'm looking forward to seeing how he does
  8. Strawberry Swing 206 In My Place 196 + Viva la Vida 40 (-)
  9. And now I have to log off. Damn! Enjoy the show guys, all 30 seconds of it, whenever it happens!
  10. I'm not a huge U2 fan, but I that song is a major let down! If that's what the rest of the album is like, I won't be bothering...
  11. Great move playing Get On Your Boots ... now Chris is going to spend the whole interview bigging up Bono and telling the listeners to buy the U2 album instead of Coldplay
  12. Bloody hell. On Thursday I managed to get to a radio just in time to hear Edith saying goodbye to Chris... Today I have to go out at twelve, which is probably when Jonathan will finally get round to saying hello to Chris...
  13. And Radio 2 are particularly fond of giving them airtime  (Although I do love the bit on Chris Evans where kids get to ring in and say what they did for the first time today :))
  14. They should definately put Alan Carr on a stool next to Chris, then put a tamborine in his hand :laugh3:
  15. I first fell in love with Coldplay listening to Jonathan Ross' show... Chris was on just after AROBTTH came out. I'd never heard Parachutes, just the singles and hadn't paid them much attention. Anyway, Chris was on, rambling on in his self-derprecating way about all sorts of things, and I thought "He sounds like a really nice guy", so I went out and bought the album that afternoon. Happy memories!
  16. Strawberry Swing 204 In My Place 197 + Viva la Vida 41 -
  17. ^ Added you all to the list in the first post. 16 sign ups in about 12 hours - great to see so much enthusiasm for it. Starting thinking about those playlists!!!
  18. Totally! I love Chris, but he does bug me sometimes. Stop playing the fool and accept you're in the biggest band in the world (til the U2 comeback kicks in, at least!) Hadn't thought about that drumstick business, but yeah, it's a really good point!
  19. He's always struck me as a really nice guy, but I got even more respect for him when Chris walked out of that Radio 4 interview. Will was so calm and polite about the whole thing. He was completely respectful of the interviewer, yet totally had his mate's back at the same time. It's worth repeating... Will rocks!!!
  20. I love the way you sprang to Will's defence! It's a crazy thought, huh? I think of the four of them, Will is the one least likely to do something stupid like that. It's funny to think that back in the day, Chris didn't appreciate Will, in a lot of the most recent interviews, it seems like Will is the "decision-maker" of the group. Funny how things change... Will rocks!!!
  21. Aw, crap.... I got sucked in to the jaffa-talk!
  22. I got a Homer Simpson moment in my head there, you know "Mmmmmnnnn.... jaffa caaaaaaaaakkes" (and then his tongue falls out :laugh3:)
