  1. I'm so thrilled that this thread still has legs! It was the first thread that I started, and because I was a newbie, I figured people would ignore it (I didn't know what friendly, lovely people you all are :)) Emma Watson has come up a lot on this thread - I think the "weird" bit was that either she was very young or the people that fancied her were considered too old, but hey, she's modelling for Chanel now!
  2. I wouldn't get in to a debate with a Coldplay hater - it's a waste of time. Everyone's entitled to their own taste. I've always been a little out of step with my friends but it's never bothered me. When I was a kid I loved this band called A-ha... and look how my tastes have evolved! My friends who liked Bros instead don't really seem to have music in their lives now... I think it's them that's missing out
  3. And that's why he gets my vote! But back to your question... There's honestly nothing I hate about this place. I've only been a member for a few months. I've never done anything social-networky like this before, and honestly imagined I'd just drop in once in a while. Now, I have to have my daily fix of Coldplaying! I feel like I've made friends here and everytime I log on I'm guarenteed lots of laughs and some thought-provoking moments to. The people are great, the variety of threads & ideas are fab and the jokes are... really lame most of the time but still I laugh! Chris Martin was right - Coldplay fans are just awesome! :D
  4. I watched 3 movies yesterday (it was a slow day on the board) Apollo 13 - one of my all time faves: 9/10 First Wives Club - harmless chick flick: 7/10 Police Academy 3 - I know it's stupid, but I was bored and there was nothing else on: 6/10
  5. Welcome. Buy Viva La Vida before X & Y (RedGirl ducks for cover from all the X & Y fans :P)
  6. More geek-chic!!! :) P.S. Chelli, I'm not saying a word, I started this thread in a completely non-judgemental frame of mind!
  7. Back to the quotes thing, I'd pick something from MC Squared. That raises two important questions, 1) Am I the only one who laughs out loud at his puns 2) If the answer to question 1 is yes, does that make me strange?
  8. Nope - it's Radiohead's most overrated song Paranoid Android
  9. MC Squared must be kicking himself he didn't think of that!
  10. Absolutely! I've sent 3 or 4 in. The one that got answered was picked less than 2 hours after I sent it. I think if you're mail is close to the top of the pile, you're more likely to get an answer
  11. I asked the one about which member the Oracle would pick as their "phone a friend" on "Who wants to be a millionaire?" Silly, I know, but I figured I stood a better shot with something quirky - and at least it was about the band (not ear wax - ewwww!) - or about something really obvious that everyone already knows
  12. So what have you asked recently (and couldn't Angie answer it?)
  13. Welcome to the madhouse! Love your username! :)
  14. Because you spent the weekend gossiping with all of us??? When the coldplay.com wouldn't work for me, I just figured it was the internet being crap... after a couple of hours reading the theories on here, I was convinced that there was going to be some huge reveal about the new EP on there... ...cut to me logging on at 6.30am this morning expecting a huge Prospekt fanfare! We're our own worst enemies - we get ourselves all hot and bothered about nothing! :dozey:
  15. Fabulous new sig pic, Daniel !:)
  16. No you don't, stay right where you are! The Scientist 73 - Politik 37+
  17. So they tease us all weekend in to thinking that a big update was on the way, then the Oracle goes back to the lame-ass questions  If I have to read about bloody Tim Crompton/Tim Rice-Oxley one more time... :furious3: Still, I feel really sorry for poor Tiggy - men can be such bastards...
  18. My top five, in order are: 1 - Viva La Vida, Coldplay 2 - Vampire Weekend, Vampire Weekend 3 - Oracular Spectacular, MGMT (if it's allowed) 4 - The Seldom Seen Kid, Elbow 5 - Angles, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip Not a good year for female artists...
  19. "It's just..." I can barely type a complete sentence and you're painting butterflies. Argh... technology is beyond me
  20. Space Cadet, I love your sig - where did you get the butterflies from?
  21. I can't believe there are so many people even paying attention to what the PCD say. Couldn't you spend your time more effectively watching paint dry? Or helping us get to the end of the AROBTTH elimination game???
  22. The Beat That My Heart Skipped - Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip
