I THINK LP5 WILL BE CALLED 'MYLO XYLOTO'...
Wonder why Chris has a larger share than the rest of the boys. I remember an article from back in the AROBTTH era that they split everything equally. But the thought of collaborating with Eno as a songwriter is very interesting...

Brian Eno: 'Without me, Coldplay would be been zonked out'
Oh, what could have been, right? Your logic is crazy. You have to admit, you're being a bit silly. Would it be valid and reasonable to say that Larry Bird's son would be a great and possibly even better player than his father had he played basketball just because he's Larry Bird's son? Of course not. My analogy is a comparison to your assertion that Coldplay's forth album would have still been great and possibly even better than Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends without Eno's involvement. Of course, this cannot be proven or unproven, so to criticize a person, Brian Eno, based on your musings on an unanswerable question is as silly and stupid as a screen door on a submarine, quite frankly. Overrated or not, he is a genius who saved Coldplay. And whether you like him or not, you owe it to yourself to realize that he, along with Markus Dravs, Rik Simpson, and Jon Hopkins saved Coldplay. A conversation reflecting your argument: Man 1: Hey, I'm not going to buy that album because Brian Eno produced it. Man 2: Well, that's really stupid and foolish of you. Man 1: Yeah, I know. But, I buy albums based on who produce them and not for the artists themselves or the quality of music contained within the album. By the way, Ken Nelson's wayyyyy better. Man 2: Wah.

Brian Eno: 'Without me, Coldplay would be been zonked out'
Sadly, this makes no sense. Such a shame when one lacks the ability to reasonably formulate an argument. To counter what a poster said a few replies above, Coldplay did not "turn to Eno only because of their self-doubt." This is a ridiculous thought. Chris has made it clear that he's known Brian for a few years now from interviews and such and that he respects him greatly, especially since he has produced the majority of U2, his favorite band's, albums. For those of you who say silly things like "Fuck Eno" and "Brian Eno is overrated," you're in the minuscule minority, for your information. Any music critic, music journalist, etc. will agree that he is one of the most innovative, creative, and influential artists/producers in the history of music. Coldplay are privileged just to look at the man, he's just that damn good.

Eno
I'm a big fan of Brian Eno's, but I've read countless accusations against him on this website about some shit he's apparently been talking, something to do with him taking too much credit for the new album. When and where was this said? And if anyone has any links to interviews, etc., I'd appreciate greatly to give them a listen or a view.

New Live Keyboard/Synth
I too was wondering about that particular blue device. It's amazing.

Endings of newly released songs
Well, after all, they are under the direction of Brian Eno, and you don't have to be a huge fan of his like I am to know that he has never really had an orthodox way of doing things musically.

The Viva La Vida (song) meaning thread!
The song seems to me to be about the Roman conquest of Jerusalem more than anything. Perhaps Chris is writing the song from the perspective of a Roman emperor during this time period. Also, I think the song could also be alluding heavily to the Crusades.

Spot the difference :P
The Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends album cover is an actual painting by French painter Eugène Delacroix. It is called "Liberty Leading the People." Yeah... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Leading_the_People
