  1. :laugh3: sorry that was my fault I carried on moaning about the backing tracks :laugh3: i'll stop now too :D goodnight
  2. :laugh3: I'm totally with you regarding these backing tracks! To me it's abit lazy to play to a backing track, Chris could easily play the piano and just decide not to run around the stage :laugh3:
  3. Yeah I'd love it to be 42 but on Jools don't bands tend to play the 3 singles they plan to release? I'm guessing they are gonna release Lovers In Japan after Lost, so they might play that one
  4. hehe, backing tracks aside I thought Lost was fantastic tonight but Chris sounded ever so slighty rusty on Viva La Vida. Wasn't a terrible performance tho, it was very good. Lost was the best performance out of the two tho for me personally.
  5. yeah I think he gets abit paranoid that they are shit or summit. If only he'd have faith!
  6. they are using shit loads of backing tracks on the new stuff. Oh well suppose we'll just have to accept it if that's how they want to play the new stuff live. That was a really great performance of Lost! Viva La Vida was ok I do wish Chris would stop making monkey noises tho, god bless him :laugh3:
  7. I thought that was a great performance of Lost! He should sit at the piano more often!
  8. Just found this on youtube, Tom Jones saying on the red carpet at the Q Awards that a collaboration with Elbow is "in the works" Very interesting. Tom also gives Coldplay a mention aswell, good work Tom that's what we like to see :D [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KMd8eZpre3o]YouTube - Tom Jones at the Q Awards[/ame]
  9. ^ ^ sorry, hope you liked the remix
  10. I've just finished my remix of Radiohead's 'Reckoner'. For those of you who do not know, Radiohead are allowing people to remix their song 'Reckoner' which is off 'In Rainbows'. I've had a go and I have uploaded my remix. You can listen to my attempt here: http://www.radioheadremix.com/remix/?id=812 If you like please vote, your votes will be very much appreciated :-D This is my first attempt at remixing so please be nice hahaha. Hope you enjoy!
  11. Yeah, each time they've been amazing aswell, never seen them do a rubbish gig.
  12. I thought that too, the lights mixed with the powerful beat and piano chords was a perfect way to open the gig. The whole gig was amazing, seen them 5 times and that was one the best I've been to :D Thanks for the quote by the way Sarah :D
  13. Here's a taster of Turin Brakes for you, a great song this one, hope you like :D [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=u_rbsZw_7nE]YouTube - Turin Brakes - Underdog (Save me)[/ame]
  14. ^ ^ haha yeah. I really love this new album, had it on constantly since I bought it on Monday. 'Last Words' is amazing reminds me of Turin Brakes (not sure if you've heard of them but if not check them out, really great band from the UK). As you know I love 'Quite Free'. 'Something Anything' and 'Long Way Down' are just so rocking, love them! Great album, you're gonna love the new stuff live! I think the album is amazing but you gotta hear the new songs live to fully enjoy them.
  15. Fran said at the gig on Monday that the new album is about a fictional character called J. Smith and that each song was kind of like a chapter in his life and the album was like a book of his life (regarding the lyrics). Each song is related to a different part of his life. I can't remember exactly what he said, but that's what the lyrics are about roughly :D
  16. awww haha you'll be fine, I was nervous before meeting them but they are really nice and make you feel at ease :D Have you heard the new album yet? I bought mine yesterday, really like it! 'Quite Free' is such a good song my favourite at the moment
  17. :laugh3: he does look like that guy in the picture! When do you see them?
  18. I can remember what they played but I wouldn't be able to remember the order :laugh3: did you enjoy it? Was such a good gig :D
  19. :laugh3: I was tempted to ask to wear it :P I was proper nervous before meeting them but once I was speaking to them, Fran made me feel so at ease, the guy is just a legend, so nice! Andy was nice aswell when we bumped into him on the street. Never really got to say much to Dougie or Neil. You've got to wear his hat for your picture if you meet them would be amazing! :laugh3:
  20. Hey Sarah :D For the record I don't own a pair of pink panties :laugh3: Where do I start? Absolutely amazing! Went to the HMV instore acoustic gig/signing in Liverpool in the afternoon before the main gig in the night time and they played 4 songs: Sing, Friends, Side and Song To Self. After that they signed copies of the new album. Fran is such a nice guy, I said thanks to him for replying to me on the Travis messageboard and he asked me what my user name was and when I told him he went "oh I remember you, you're the new guy, I remember replying to you" I was so happy :D Never really got chance to speak to Dougie, Andy and Neil as I spent ages talking to Fran and security was pushing me along the line :laugh3: I just shook their hands and said "nice to meet you" They signed my copy of 'Ode...' and I took my 'The Man Who' with me aswell and they signed that aswell :D After the HMV signing me and my mate went for a walk round the shops in Liverpool and we bumped into Andy (about an hour after the signing). So we got a picture with him and we spoke for a while. He was telling us that he now lives in Liverpool with his wife. We talked about all the changes the city is going through all the new buildings and stuff and he said that he loves living in the city and it's got a great vibe to it. He also said he was going to head off home for an hour before the gig :laugh3: The gig in the night time was amazing! After meeting them in the afternoon I was already buzzing before they even walked onto the stage :laugh3: The atmosphere was one of the best I've experienced at a Travis gig. They sounded amazing and were on top form. The new songs really sound great next to the old stuff and really stand up well. They played Falling Down, which was amazing I love that song and was so happy when they played it :D They played Tied To The 90's, More Than Us, Good Feeling aswell as 'Driftwood', 'Writing To Reach You', 'Turn', Why Does It Always Rain On Me?' They played 6 songs off the new album and 'Selfish Jean' and 'Closer' from the last album. I'm just uploading my video onto youtube so I'll post the link up for you to see when it's finished uploading :D Here are the photos I took (The photo of me and Andy are on my mates camera so I haven't got them off him yet)
  21. thanks J. I'll tell you all about it on Tuesday :D
  22. ^ ^ hahahahaha it's all very exciting, I am very excited
  23. I love 'Quite Free' I think it's my favourite on the new album. Anyone going to the Liverpool HMV signing tomorrow? I'm thinking of getting there for 3pm
  24. Thanks J, I feel honoured you've posted this up :D
