  1. Just a quick post to say that there aren't possibly enough superlatives to describe how good a time I had last night. Was standing about 10 people back on the floor, Jonny side, but really had a perfect view of them all. I was amazed by this as due to being vertically challenged I never get a good view at gigs! Hard to pick out a favourite song, the first 6 songs from AROBTTH were amazing, especially Daylight, so glad I've seen it live. Also loved the little acoustic set, and obviously all the MX era songs, the wristbands are such a fantastic idea. This is a video of the end of Paradise which shows off the wristbands looking beautiful :) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQSc4N1S-w0&feature=player_profilepage]www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQSc4N1S-w0&feature=player_profilepage[/ame]
  2. I'll be there! Managed to get myself two standing tickets yesterday, madly refreshing whilst at school, what a good time to have a lesson cancelled eh? Cannot wait to see these guys again

  4. FEDERER GOT MARRIED YESTERDAY :D 'Dear Fans Earlier today, in my hometown of Basel, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family, Mirka and I got married. It was a beautiful spring day and an incredibly joyous occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Federer wish all of you a Happy Easter weekend. Love, Roger' Great news for Fed!!:dance::dance:

I think its fairly obvious who I want to win, but Im not sure that he will, he has a fairly difficult draw.
  6. Thought Id post the news here, Federer and his girlfriend are expecting a baby! Very exciting news and I wish them both the best. :D That baby is going to inherit some serious tennis skill!

  9. I think it was probably a Spice Girls single. Glad to say my music taste has since improved rather a lot! That Blue song made me giggle, I totally loved that when I was little! :D
  10. This is kinda off topic, but did anyone else spot Chloe at the Brits? Its the first time Ive seen her and must say she is verrry pretty! The pic of Jonny with Violet is the cutest thing :)
  11. I do this ALL the time now too! Its just stuck I spose :D
  12. Love to the Fed! And get well soon
  13. Bad news on the Federer front - "Dear Fans, Today I am disappointed to announce that I am withdrawing from both Dubai and the Davis Cup tie in the United States. This was a hard decision to make as I am missing not only one of my favorite events on tour in Dubai but I am also missing out on an opportunity to help my country try and move on to the next round of Davis Cup. After injuring my back last fall, I did not have enough time to strengthen it completely. As a precautionary measure, I will use the next few weeks to make sure the back injury is fully rehabilitated and I am ready for the rest of the 2009 season. As always, thanks for your continued support. Roger" Not happy about this news :( I thought he was completely over the back injury... it didnt cause him any problems in Australia?! Cant believe he would pull out of Davis Cup... without him Switzerland have virtually no chance against the US, such a shame. Roger and Stan had a great chance of winning in doubles and Roger in his singles... Im sure they could have made it through to the next round. I really hope this back problem isnt an ongoing thing. Mind you, Id rather he rest and get 100% fit now than it cause him problems during French Open or Wimbledon, these are the most important things now. Oopsy, Im turning this thread into a Federer thread but I really cant help it! I love the way he adresses his letters directly to the fans and thanks them, such a gent! :)
  14. Thanks, congrats to you aswell, Men's Semi's? Very lucky indeed! :D I reckon Murray will be in there, along with Nadal and obviously the true king of grass Mr. Federer ;) Nah, this is the first time I even entered the ballot, so it will be my first live tennis. The most famous court in the world isnt a bad place to start eh! I am sooo excited I really cant wait. Have you been before? Yeah Im hoping to get a good few matches... I think Ill probably see Nadal, as the defending men's champ opens play on Monday, and then each side of the draw plays on alternate days, so he should be there on Wednesday. Ooh that was a long explanation! Mind you Id rather have Federer, but hey Im definetely not complaining, I know tickets are very very hard to get! Who do people reckon will win this year then? Im hoping Murray knocks out Rafa in the semis and then Federer wins in 5 sets. Not too much to ask??!!:laugh3:
  15. Ahh keep trying! I really did not think I would get any, I know a few people who try every year and hardly ever get them. It was a total fluke, but Im certainly not complaining! :)
  16. I got tickets to this years Wimbledon! I recieved the letter this morning and I went CRAZY, Im glad my parents were out otherwise they may have thought I had mental problems!! This is the first time Ive entered the ballot, and I thought it was near impossible that I would win tickets, I read the chances were about 1/5. But anyway, when I opened my post this morning there was the letter telling me I had 2 Centre Court tickets for Wednesday 24th June. Its the first Wednesday so it should be 2nd round matches, I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Federer match in there somewhere! Ill settle for Nadal or Murray though. Looking forward to this very much, especially as the weather wont matter with the new roof in place. Any one else got tickets to either Wimbledon or any other upcoming tournaments? Im also hoping to get tickets to the ATP World Tour Finals at the 02 in November. :D

A Whisper :D But it may change!
  18. OK, so I was just watching The Nappies, and I noticed he says 'Your not gonna hump me for 42 days'. 42 DAYS!! The signs were there all along!! Hehe :D
  19. I agree with the Federer-Nadal rivalry being the most popular, in all tennis is more popular now than it has ever been. I think that those two as men really add to this fact, they both have foundations and do charity work and are great role models, not only in the sporting world. As to whether it is the best, well its the best rivalry I have witnessed, I wasnt around to see the Borg-McEnroe rivalry or any of the other greats, but from what I have heard the Roger-Rafa rivalry is right up there. :)
  20. Going back to the final briefly... the most bittersweet thing of all (for Fed fans atleast) is that Federer won more points overall (only by one mind). Oh and does Rafa really need to bite every trophy he gets? I don't want his slobber on it when Roger gets it next year! ;)
  21. Rafa's playing style is too agressive for me. He doesn't have the style or grace of Federer. Obviously the man has immense talent and, at the moment, is truly the best player in the world, but for me he just isn't close to Fed. I'm not a huge Murray fan (partially to do with that embaressing head to head!). However, I do think he is very talented and enjoy watching him play. His Wimbledon match against Gasquet last year was great, and I'll happily cheer on anyone who could finally win GB some tennis recognition!
  22. Hehe, yeah he is, but he never actually won very much! I dont know the figures or anything, but I think Murray has already won more ATP titles than him.
  23. Yeah, unfortunately I agree, Nadal is practically unbeatable at Roland Garros, if only he came along a couple of years later, Roger would have a coupld of FO crowns under his belt aswell. I've heard of Delic in passing but can't say I know much about him or his game. Anyone reckon Murray is just going to be another Henman? Personally I don't, I think he will go on to achieve a lot, but I just can't see him winning a Grand Slam at present with Nadal and Federer in the picture. Those two are just on a different level to the rest of them in my opinion.
  24. Oh yeah Fed fans are total mind readers... ;) Actaully I just think everyone has fairly similar views and opinions and there is more often than not someone who writes exactly what I am thinking. :) Ahh no I couldn't cope without Fed in the game for the moment, he's what got me interested in tennis so without him I'd have no one to cheer on/ scream the tv for! If were saying who we want to win then it would I think its fairly obvious Im all for Fed winning them all from now onwards! ;) Just as a matter of interest, has anyone here been to see him play? Just wondered what it was like to watch the genius at work in the flesh. I entered the Wimbledon ballot but the chances of tickets are verrrry slim. I'm hoping to get some tickets to the ATP World Tour Finals in London this year, my chances of seeing Fed are pretty likely which is good! (I just voted Federer in the pole, I know it's over and I know who won, but I just had to do it anyway!:))
  25. Im all for the Fed thread by the way! :) I am a member of his forum but I don't often comment as other people seem far betting at summing up my thoughts than myself!
