I totally agree. There are certain parts in the new songs, where he almost always misses the tone. (LiJ: "To see what I'm all about". VLV: "Revolutionaries wait", "One minute I held the key" etc.) I know he can sing them perfectly (especially LiJ, just take a look at the amazing video, where he plays his little keyboad and Jonny the guitar) and I think the main reason, that he's not is that he's moving so much on stage. Plus I noticed, that Will's background singing is rather loud in the choruses of those songs in the MTV World Stage performance ... sometimes you only hear Will. And he sings almost all of the old songs perfectly ... I love his enthusiasm, a little bit less of that and a bit more concentrating on the voice would be great though.

Well a year ago or so I still felt embarrassed to tell that I'm a huge Coldplay fan, mainly because everyone thinks their music is depressing and therefore their fans must be depressed, sad, boring whatever ... :confused: Nowadays I always say that I love Coldplay. Some react weird, others say they like them too. And if they do I'm trying my best to make them LOVE Coldplay.

Last year I was looking for someone to go to the concert with me, because a few people had backed out for various reasons. So I was talking to my little cousin and my grandfather was in the room. He said: "Just go with her to the concert. You know Coldplay do make good music." Btw my grandfather is 80 ... :smug:

I watched the whole crappy thing just to see if they're sending a video message ... NADA ... the category wasn't even mentionned. :inquisitive: OMG ... I never watched this show before and I will never ever do it again ... My little cousin was sitting next to me commenting the look of every single person ... I almost went nuts.

There's a spanish comment to the video that says that the creator changed the Enanitos Verdes song to make it fit to the Satriani song ... but honestly I've listened to the Enanitos song before and it's more than just strikingly similar. And I remember listening to an interview with Chris where he said he got up one night and had this melody "I used to ruuule the world" in his head and he thought about either going to sleep or staying awake and "pursuing" this melody ... So imagine Chris gets up one night thinking "I really have to copy that Satriani song ... it's awesome" ... Which version is more probable? :inquisitive:

:laugh3: Coldplay should sue him for that sentence. They'd have a better case than Satriani does. VLV could totally live without those three notes and would still be smashing, thanks to the Guys and not to Satriani. So claiming this song is his is just downright disgusting and wrong.

If that guy wins this lawsuit ... I don't even know what to do then. This just feels so wrong. Chris said himself that Coldplay's pretty honest about their influences. Why the heck should he just copy someone he doesn't seem to know and then lie about it? And honestly, his own music doesn't seem to mean that much to Satriani, otherwise he wouldn't use it for such attention-whore like stuff. This is all about publicity and money, nothing more ... no matter how often he talks about his broken heart ... (with which he seemed to live pretty fine until the Grammy nominations were announced ... ) Pathetic, simply pathetic. :inquisitive:

This is just childish and pathetic. This is so obviously about publicity. First declaring that he sues them right after the grammy nominations and now chasing them on the day of the grammys ... Maybe the Enanitos Verdes should declare their suing him for plagiarism on the day of the trial.

Well, I don't like watching Award shows ... especially not in the middle of the night, but I'll certainly keep my fingers crossed. I'm probably too optimistic, but I think they're going to get 3 awards.

I don't think I've ever listened to an interview with Chris that didn't make me laugh. :rolleyes:
