Yeah, I do get the point with running off and that it's safer. However, my brother was a rather active kid as well (I wasn't really slow either) and we never wore a leash although we lived on a busy main street while growing up. So there is a way to do it without leash. I'm not saying it's necessarily traumatising, but it just seems super-weird to me. :uhoh:

So it's actually considered normal?! Because here it's more likely to confuse people (to put it nicely) ... you could also say outrage, haha.

Okay, I've seen this a few times both in the States and the UK: Parents going around town with their kid on a leash. It doesn't seem that big of a deal over there, but let's just say that it looked pretty pretty strange to me. I'd actually expect a public outcry here if someone walked around with their kid on a leash. :P So ... is this normal ... or is this just for lazy parents ... and should you actually put your kid on a leash like you do with a dog? Questions and more questions. I haven't posted a new thread in ages.

I probably would've finished all five books by now if I wasn't waiting for my friend. :shame: Once I'm really into a book, I can read 100 pages or more per day. I hope to start A Storm of Swords soon. I heard they're splitting that book into two seasons and I hope they'll stay a bit closer to the book than in season 2. Thank you! :surprised: I need to widen my horizon anyway, because I've read the LOTR at least 8 times. :lol:

Well, I'm almost through with the first book, but the first chapters already felt like a copy of LOTR (black riders chasing a group of people out of their beloved and kind of isolated home, uhm okay) so I was quite demotivated. It got a bit better, but atm I don't feel like reading any more books from the series. I might give it another go when I finished all of the Ice and Fire books. Never heard of Feist tbh, but I'll have a look! :)

I was reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series and then I had to wait for Ren to catch up and get the third book, so I started The Wheel of Time series (I'm into fantasy) and god it's so boring. It also just feels like an incredibly cheap copy of LOTR. I wish I could just put a book I started aside, but I can't. I'm obsessed with finishing books I started. I can't wait to read the third A Song of Ice and Fire book though. :bomb:

I still have no idea if I like Survival or not. It will be so so so weird to hear this all throughout the Olympics. I can already picture the recaps with Matt's "YES I'M GONNA WIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!" in the background. :freak:
