Radio2 Live: Coldplay - 30th August 2008 @ 7pm BST
90 pairs - good lord. Having seen the band at the BBC gig and the fact I'm going in December, I think i'll refrain from applying and let someone else have a slim chance.

The 2008 Mercury Prize
I agree with RedGirl, big bands never win, so really, it makes little difference if Coldplay are nominated or not. The winner gets 20k to help push themselves forward, chump change to a band of millionaires. Out of the list, I hope Elbow win. I saw them at Latitude at the weekend and they were superb. I'm a bit surprised Adele is on there ahead of Duffy. I have both albums and Duffy's is much better.

Coldplay Fan Survey (it will only take a minute)
1. First related Coldplay memory? Hearing Yellow at a Watford game 2. Have you ever seen the band live in concert, if so where? Yes Earls Court (x2), V Festival, Crystal Palace, Camden Koko, BBC TV Studios. 3.a Favorite Coldplay album? ROBTTH b. Favorite Coldplay song? Tough one, i cant pick one. c. Favorite Coldplay video? The Scientist 4. Most treasured Coldplay item in your collection? Errr, my ticket stubs i guess. 5. What was your craziest fanatic moment regarding Coldplay (ie. did you have to go at great lengths to see them live? did you do something really dramatic to defend Coldplay? etc etc.) I queued up for five hours outside Camden Koko on my own to get a ticket for the X&Y album lanch gig in 2005.

16-Jun-08: London - Brixton Academy
People who buy and read the NME are as mental as the people who write it. It's the biggest load of tosh on the market. Talk about building people up and knocking them down. I hate the NME, quite frankly, its crap.

Support bands during the u.k. tour
Editors and Bloc Party are big, but not too big to support Coldplay. I'd settle for them.

BBC Concert: Does anybody have an unused ticket from the day or a spare used ticket?
At the risk of sounding unpopular with you admin, was there really any need to post that? There are probably quite a few on here who have tickets they dont want to lose, but they dont broadcast it - its just rubbing salt into the wound. I would expect more tact from an Admin.

BBC Concert: Does anybody have an unused ticket from the day or a spare used ticket?
Didn't take very long. Yes I have one spare and you're very welcome to it.

I may have one spare my friend. Let me have a look and see if I still have it.

Coldplay products at gigs
The Coldplay lads were in the top 5 richest people under 30 worth an estimated £25 million each. Do you care to explain why they had to make money out of a free show?

I don't want to hear Fix You, Yellow, Trouble in concert anymore
Fix You is a great tune for a sing along - isnt that what going to gigs is all about. I saw them do Trouble live years ago and again, a great singalong. If we had it our way they would play virtually every song recorded live - but each tour will see surprise songs included and omitted. Personally, I'm no fan of 42 even hough its a new song, and i could do without In My Place, but i take what I'm given.

Have you ever met the Band?
That's a shame Kara, because there are millions who worship Chis, but at the end of the day, he's a human being like you and I. I dont really get star struck by celebs, they're just fortunate people who got a break in society because of a skill or pure fluke. Meeting them can sometimes change your opinion. There are many who worship Coldplay and other bands, but imagine if you met them only to find that they didnt really care about you. It would break your heart.

Have you ever met the Band?
I havent and dont really want to. You can put celebs on such a high pedastal that you often end up disappointed when you finally meet them. I've met people in the past who I looked up to and they turned out to be complete idiots. Sometimes its best to admire people from a distance.

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I'm not ashamed to admit that I have Duffy's album, and some of the tracks are excellent. Not sure how good live she would be, but i'd certainly say go and invest in her CD.

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
Viva La Vida - also the best song live last night too. Overall favourite Coldplay song - I couldnt decide.

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
As a journo, my job is to look at stories from both angles, so i'm going to do the same with your post. I think its great people get enthusiastic about gigs. It helps to improve the atmosphere and the whole point of being there is to enjoy yourself. I can never quite understand why people stand at gigs completely still and motionless - its as if they dont want to be there. Now from the other side, being enthusiastic is great, but not caring about the people around you is not. This is going to come across badly, however its nothing personal, but its people like yourself that jump around and dont care about the people arounf that i dont go and stand at the front. Just because i dont jump about like an enthusiastic teenager, does not mean i am no loving the experience and enjoying myself. I sing, and bop along, but i dont jump about into people. Listen, as long you enjoy yourself and be considerate to the people around you, then you're doing nothing wrong. However, if you are knocking into people and ruining the experience for others, then you're just as bad as those who stand there like statues.

I watched it back on my V+ box last night.

Concert- Not Impressed
The word gay is brandished about so much now, I know Scott didnt mean it as some have taken it. I personally think the dance moves are funky and out there. It shows he doesnt take himself too seriously. Can you ever imagine liam Gallagher doing that? No chance. Lets not forget mate, they've been away two and a half years, live performances are always a bit rusty after such a long time.

Coldplay in Guitar Hero 3 Tomorrow
For starters you would need an XBOX360 and Guitar Hero 3. Then you would need to have a membership to XBOX Live which would then allow you to download the extra songs.

Good photos people. Great gig and not a bad crowd either. I think many, like me, spent the 45 minutes loving the band, but also trying to avoid the television camera. I failed, just after Viva La Vida finishes the camera spans over the crowd and there I am. Oh well, it wasnt a close up at least - much like Chris said on stage, I have a face for radio. Good to meet my old chum Kimich Baka at the end of the gig, just a shame you couldnt come for a drink fella. Long wait until December now, but I think the wait will be worth it.

I think my question got lost in all the excitement. Where is the multimedia section on the site to listen to the mp3s uploaded? Glad you all had a good time. Sounded like an amazing experience.

"Coldplay imitate Muse's live shows"
I've seen Muse live four times and nobody can touch them. Coldplay are different live, they put on a great show, but Muse live is something else.

Pardon my ignorance, but where is the multimedia section?
