Hmm...well maybe it was because of the confusion with them not knowing when exactly songs were live and when they were just rehersal. I think that's what was happening, right? That's good to hear though, that you guys who were there thought it went well....because I'm seeing them next tuesday for the first time so I really want it to be great. I can't wait! :)

I hate to be negative here, but was I the only one who thought this was a really weak performance? Chris could barely sing. He often stopped singing completely & didn't finish complete phrases. I hope he gets a lot of vocal rest before the tour starts.

I wish this song went on forever. These are my favorites types of songs...very simple, beautiful delicate melodies, & no big band sound. Don't get me wrong, I love Coldplay's full band big songs just as much as the next fan...but there's nothing better than a really stripped down little song like this to me. I love the combination of piano and those little chimes (or whatever they are). They sort of float along like a river of music. ;)

LIJ is my least favorite too. I just can't get past it sounding exactly like a U2 song. There's this one part where I swear he sounds exacty like Bono. I can't get it out of my head the whole time I'm listening to it.... and I hate U2. on the other hand, I absolutely love Reign of Love. It's such a beautiful little gem on the album.

You know what? I was going crazy over the volume thing yesterday...but today I've already gotten completely used to it. (thank god!) I think when you learn the lyrics, it just becomes easier to hear him singing. Before it was like listening to someone talk without seeing their lips, ya know? But now that I know what he's saying...it's much easier. Hopefully that happens for you guys too.

It's soo frustrating! I've only listened to it once so far, so maybe it will seem to get better as I learn the lyrics...but I literally couldn't understand a damn thing he said except for on the 2 singles & Death & All His Friends. It drove me insane! Hopefully it was just the speakers in my car?? I really hope so. I think I like the CD, but I really can't tell because I can't hear the melodies...just the music. :(

Is that posted on their website? I can't find anything about it. I wonder if that's at all of their stores nationwide. I hope so!

I know this is such a newbie question...but what does everyone mean when you talk about the B-side albums? They aren't actually coming out with a full B-side album, are they? Or are you just talking about the extra 1 or 2 new songs that come out with the single LPs? thanks!

I'm still waiting. I'm glad there's someone else out there who hasn't heard it yet! I almost heard one of the new songs by accident the other day at school though. Someone was listening to it & I didn't recognize the song but I could tell it was Coldplay. I started yelling, turn it off! turn it off! hahaa :) They were nice about it & changed the song to Violet Hill. I can't remember what it sounded like at all... that was a close call.

This kind of creeped me out when I first read this because I thought I had written this post without even realizing! I do the exact same thing. I listen to it while I'm laying in bed before I go to sleep. It's so peaceful.
