There are ways, my friend. There are ways. :shame:
  2. Oh my God. :o Amazing. :D :D Can't say they don't deserve it either. I was waiting for it, but now...
  3. Okay, it's now official. I wasn't sure at first but I've given the album a few good listens and, wow. This album really is so brilliant and beautiful. After giving it a good soak, as should go for all art, I'm glad to say that the whole cd is just beautifully crafted, period. All of the songs are different from one another, but still have that something that nicely holds it all together. I agree with pianoguy about it almost taking the number one spot of my top favourite album. The only thing is that sometimes I really wish Life In Technicolor had lyrics. It's so beautiful.
  4. I love this song. Very "Coldplay". I think this is the essence of them, really. Definitely a favourite.

  6. This is really strange. I was just listening to the Neil Young song "My My, Hey Hey" that features Johnny Rotten's name. "The king is gone, but he's not forgotten, this is the story of a Johnny Rotten. It's better to burn out, than it is to rust, the king is gone, but he's not forgotten" :shocked2: Hmm.
  7. WOAH. What is up with that dude's eyes? I feel so damn violated. Buggin' out, man. .....Well. Anyway. Back to the album! :smug:
  8. I have to give it a few more listens, just like I had to with the other Coldplay albums before I really, really appreciated them. I know that at the moment though, right now, it IS a pretty good album. We'll see though :)
  9. :\ Honestly, I think each of their albums are different to a degree where to compare them head on with each other is just a disaster waiting to be fed. As for X&Y being better than VLV or not? Come on. The two are so different that I dont think you can compare them without being unfair. X&Y has a lot of smooth, soft grooves. VLV has more color and "life" and is more outwardly upbeat. A Rush of Blood To The Head is sort of "hard" and driven, but deep. Parachutes is more simple and "raw". They're all different from each other that it's hard to compare. But lyrically I think VLV is the most excellent of the moment. I mean, Cemeteries of London? Brilliant.

"What was I doing up here anyway? Why did I let Finny talk me into stupid things like this? Was he getting some kind of hold over me?" :sneaky: I knew someone would mention A Separate Peace sooner or later  Someone somehow always manages to, haha. But thanks!

No way?? :o Wow. That is a pretty sweet meaning now that we definitely know that it is "fox". Thanks for that! :D And Im surprised I didn't know that since I'm sort of crazy over the French Revolution and all.. Hurrah, the fox has been found! I mean, confirmed.
  12. Random coldplay moment: The other day my friend was talking about her relationship with her boyfriend, who apparently has some really odd haircut, and she's broken up with him quite a few times on and off before - and so one night she was just talking about how the two of them recently got into a huge fight and mentioned something about "being back at square one" .... And you can just imagine me going :o But I didn't want to say anything since, you know, it would be kinda rude to bust out singing coldplay songs in the middle of a breakup. :shame:

And so the mystery goes on. That'd be a bit strange if it really were "fox"... And I could've sworn it was "bury me in honor", but of course I could be wrong.

    Thank you kindly :D
  15. Exactlyyyy. I mean, how they managed to mix the sort of eerie sound of the lyrics with the upbeat tempo of the drums and the guitar? Beautiful. And Im also new, but hey if it means anything, welcome anyway
  16. Hands down my ultimate favourite of the album. Apparently my mother's prepared to strangle me for playing it on blast for the 15th time in a row. It's kinda eerie....in a good way! :D And I just love when Will's drums kick in in the beginning too. AHHHH :smug: just love it. And can you imagine actually singing along to this song at a concert? Magical.
  17. This song has surprisngly grew on me over a few days. :o At first I wasn't so sure about it, but now it might just be one of my favourites! I can't help it though.. It just sounds so light and optimistic

I've finally registered after snooping around here for a long time  I felt kind of creepy doing that anyway, so I just registered. :D So, hell-o fellow Coldplayers :smug: Or, "preev-yhet". Since I'm apparently learning Russian now.... or something.
  19. Someone forgot to eat down the rest of their gratefulness soup this morning, eh? Or no? Just be happy they're even touring, period. I am. Seriously. I'd honestly wait 5 more months (HONESTLY) if they pushed back the concert they're having here soon, ONLY because I've always missed them whenever they came here and I know it's worth the wait...
