  1. Would be ace, really. But I predict that Coldplay will headline Pinkpop instead, and that Lowlands might book Radiohead instead. I also predict both Coldplay and Radiohead will be playing the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium in July. Let's wait and see if I turn out to be right ;)
  2. Force her to listen to it again. And again. And again. She will be digging it soon.
  3. They have already announced they will. As a matter of fact, a deal was supposed to be set THIS WEEK according to their management. I'm pretty sure it's a one-album deal though, for distribution of In Rainbows only which should be released at the start of 2008. As soon as the album's available in the shops, one or two singles could get released. Plus, since the world tour probably won't start until May 2008 (source: NME) they have plenty of time to shoot videos accompanying possible singles.
  4. Well, surely, as soon as they sign a record deal... especially when involved with a major... the release of singles will be discussed. After all, albums need some kind of promotion. I don't mind if they agree NOT to release any singles, but I'd like to see a video or two. Should be interesting...
  5. There are quite a bunch of good candidates on the album. 15 Step, Bodysnatchers, Nude and Jigsaw... for starters. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi and All I Need are also strong contenders, though I'm not sure these should be released as singles. But.... I have strong doubts about singles getting released for In Rainbows. There should be, but I'm not sure if there is even more recorded/mixed material left. I sure hope that the (possible) b-sides will be better than those from Hail To The Thief. Most of those were quite poor, especially the 2+2=5 b-sides (with the exception of Fog (Again)).
  6. I'm really looking forward to hearing Last Flowers and Up On The Ladder. Both have been unreleased favourites of mine since, well, since they were played live for the first time. DITNU, Bangers & Mash and 4 Minute Warning should be very interesting too. This bonus disc might end up being just as good as In Rainbows, when I think of it. Depends on MK1 and MK2 I guess...
  7. Honestly. That review was written one day after In Rainbows was available. I bet the writer 'kinda' digs it by now.
  8. 181 But that's nothing, a friend of mine listened to them +500 times.
  9. In Rainbows is their most emotive and personal album to date. An explosion of emotions: self improvement (15 Step) mental illness (Bodysnatchers) vulnerability (Nude) escapism (Weird Fishes/Arpeggi) longing (All I Need) hope (Faust Arp) separation (Reckoner) ...
  10. Mine has. Almost instantly. I pre-ordered the discbox on the 1st, and the next day my creditcard was already charged.
  11. Thom was right all along. This album REALLY IS sex!
  12. Damn. I have a nasty feeling I won't be able to download it (just yet) when I get home from work tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the site will be unavailabe for many hours.
  13. Everybody should be getting it some time tomorrow.
  14. Heck, I'll even get up in the middle of the night to download this thing if I have to.
  15. Should I? Yes I shall (although he won't read this)... HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOM!
  16. Our boy Thom will turn 39 tomorrow. Little bugger's getting old :P
  17. I'm sure there'll be 3 definitive phases of ways to get the album: 1) October 10 - digitally exclusively through w.a.s.t.e 2) December 3 - full physical release - special 'fans' collection box (2 discs, 2 vinyls + extra's), excusively through w.a.s.t.e. 3) Early 2008 - worldwide release (digitally also, such as iTunes and all) I really love what they did here. I mean... getting it either extremely cheap (though digital only) or quite expensive (the whole deal, and I mean EVERYTHING) And others... they'll just have to wait a bit. I mean, it's a bitch if you actually can't afford to pre-order it right now. But releasing it digitally SO SOON for a buck-and-a-half (or whatever you 'want' to pay for it) is mindblowingly brilliant. I love, love, love them for this. Only Radiohead could come up with this. Cheer brilliance! Can't wait til next week. Woooo!! 10 new songs! I wonder if they´ll release any singles or videos though. It doesn´t really ´match´ the concept.
  18. Oh, I like The Enemy. Sure, they're very Oasis-y. But heck, they've got some good tunes imo.
  19. http://www.flatlinerecords.co.uk ??
  20. This code thingy on the previous page instantly reminds me of X&Y. I mean. It looks cool.... but if they use this for LP7 artwork the Coldplay reference will definitely be mentioned in every single review and magazine. And I'm pretty sure they will regret having used it.
  21. They will never choose Sony. NEVER. Sony was the label which released Unbelievable Truth's debut album (Thom's brother's band), and they were treated like crap being dropped after only one album. So I'm sure Thom would never pick Sony as an option. XL Recordings could work, though The Eraser lacked proper promotion imo. Warp could suit Radiohead just fine. I have a strong feeling Radiohead will pick Warner for their 1-off album deal though. Dunno why. Just a hunch.
  22. Holy crap! They HAVE won the Mercury Prize!:o I really would've suspected Bat For Lashes or Jamie T to win.
  23. Born in 1972, so either 34 or 35.
  24. Awwwww, I love Unbelievable Truth. I'll be first in line to buy Andy's upcoming debut album. He has a beautiful voice, and some very sweet songs.
