Well, Fran told the audience at a gig in the Netherlands (in June) that they would be back within a couple of months. So expect more European dates to be announced soon!

Radiohead
I'm sure they should be in talks with one or two majors by now. Once they signed a new (probably one-off) record deal and the album's fully mastered, I'm sure they'll announce and release it very soon after that. To think of it... Hail To The Thief had already leaked BEFORE it got mastered. That's why they kinda rushed that process at the time. And... a new world tour! Woohoo!

The offical Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book thread (Spoiler Free)
Pfff... Harry Potter's bastard son? Harry Potter's secret kid brother? Harry Potter's ghost? There are endless possibilities.

Duhh. No. Apparently not everywhere, otherwise it wouldn't be lost anymore.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Can fans outside the UK participate? I mean, if we buy a track off iTunes it's not the UK store.

Led Zeppelin
Wow. First The Verve, now Led Zeppelin? Nicccccccce.

Athlete
Disappointed on first listen too. Does get better each time I hear it though. Has some utter weak tracks though (the opening track is often skipped, The Outsiders), but some great ones as well (Second Hand Stores)

The Verve
The Verve reuniting is like finding gold. Amazing news.

LCD Soundsystem
I'll be seeing them on saturday, and probably in August as well. Great band.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Indeed. That's a fantastic live DVD, and well-worth the money. The Absolution Tour DVD was a let down. Great gig, but cut short and only an hour long. The Wembley DVD should be good. As a matter of fact, could be legendary.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
wow! Where? At the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium. Saw them loads at festivals though. They're very fond of playing them. The first time I saw them, waaaay back in 2000, I also met the guys after the gig. They were really nice, especially Matt who had this cool vibe surrounding him. I always knew he would end up being the big rockstar that he'd become, but he even surpassed it beyond my wildest expectations. And so did Dom and Chris, ofcourse.

GoldenState
I used to be a huge fan of Paloalto. I have both albums and several single promos. When I found out some of the members (including singer James Grundler) merged into new band GoldenState, I immediately ordered their debut EP through their own website. But I never received it, and nobody even hesitated to reply to my mails (I must have sent out at least 3 or 4 mails to several adresses listed on their website, including their management!!)... let alone send me a new copy. A year later, I gave it another shot and ordered it AGAIN, because there was no other online store available (that I know of) selling it. The exact same story though. Never received it. Now, I'm a patient man and I appreciate honesty. It's just NOT right that I had to order the same EP twice, only to never receive it. Did it somehow get 'lost' in the mailing process twice? Nah, impossible. What bothers me most though is that I didn't get any replies to my mails, nor did I get a refund of some sort. Nothing. That's just downright arrogant and disrespectful towards fans. So f*ck 'em. I will never buy any of their stuff again. They screwed me over twice, and once was more than enough already.

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Nah I wasn't. Saw it on TV, but man... I really SHOULD have been there. On the other hand, I shouldn't complain really. I'll be seeing Muse next week for the 10th time.

The Contact <-I think many coldplayers would like them
'Major Tom Coming Home' is an 1982 translated cover by Peter Schilling, a German singer. Original songtitle: 'Major Tom (Völlig losgelöst)' Hardly original. They sound like Paloalto though, which is (or was) a pretty good band. Can't say I can compare them to Coldplay, Radiohead or Keane on first listen.

Although 'New Amsterdam' isn't too strong, it's a great tune to singalong to at the top of your lungs. "And it's a neeew day, it's a neeeew dawn in neeeeeew Aamsterdaaaaaaamm"
