  1. I just finished the book. Aww, the fact that I heard them play at Wembley Stadium 19/09/09 made the ending extra emotional. :bigcry: I miss that time. He didn't get his geography quite right, when he referred to the concert in Denmark being in Silkeborg, instead of Herning. :P Really good book. It was very entertaining to read as Matt McGinn has some funny lines, writes in a free language and tone and includes some pretty hilarious scenarios. It's a good mixture of serious things and everyday-roadie-jokes-and-fun. The book is personal and seems to get all around with many aspects of the life of a roadie. Some things I didn't understand because my English isn't advanced enough, but it's generally easy to get the meaning, I think. It's very much about being a roadie as the title implies, rather than about Coldplay, though, you get some good insights in their shows, how they work in the studio and other previously unheard/unread stories, which make the book a must-read for Coldplay fans. :) I agree with iduran20 btw. :) (and you're a quick reader! :stunned: Of course, English is your mother tongue, but still.)
  2. That's crazy awesome and such an astounding coincidence, Antonia. :o :awesome: Very cool.
  3. It's the Champion's birthday in two days! :cheesy:  Great people seem to have birthday on that date; Will, J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter (though fictional :P). :cool4:
  4. I adore the pictures, especially the first one, which is one of the few I've saved on my iPod. I don't know much about her, but Chloe seems really good for him. I've never seen this before: :surprised: :wacky: I adore Jonny. I want to hug him. :wacky:
  5. No one cares for my random Coldplay thoughts. :disappointed: I don't know who Andrew is.
  6. Woah, it looks the inside of a fairytale castle. :stunned: I like it. :wacky: Wow, that's a huge bed! There's definitely room enough for those tall people. :P
  7. How come I haven't heard this before... :stunned: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkqyV3oL8oQ]YouTube- bono and chris martin - what's going on[/ame] When and on what occasion was this made and recorded? It sounds... aherm... different. :P Edit: Was this made for something about saving Africa? I might have heard it after all, just completely forgot about it, idk.
  8. Random Coldplay thoughts: 1) The other day at the beach a young man with his 2 friends walked pass me - he wore a light blue Viva La Vida t-shirt! :stunned:  I've never seen anyone with a Coldplay t-shirt on my little Island before. :o I was a bit gutted I wasn't wearing my red VLV t-shirt. I think he must have heard me say both "Coldplay", "T-shirt" and maybe "Why am I not wearing mine" quite loudly to my friend + I was looking rather much. :P 2) The next day I pulled the earphones to my iPod out, while listening to X&Y, and Speed of Sound was in the radio, yay! :wacky: Now the Viva era is over, they tend to play the older stuff more in the radio, I think. 3) Today, when I was in the shower, my mum pointed out that Coldplay was in the radio She turned the volume - it was Yellow! I never hear Yellow in the radio! 4) Today at the beach with my good old friend, who lives far away, I was trying to pick music on my iPod to listen to. She said that she listens to Coldplay sometimes. :wacky: I said, I was proud. :P Then we listened to AROBTTH (album). :) 5) My best friend says that she hardly knew about Coldplay before she met me and that now she can always tell if she hears a Coldplay song, because of me. :smug: :D 6) I've recently ordered the Coldplay mouse mat, canvas and iPod Touch leather case (finally available again!) from whateverittakes.org! I'm very excited about getting it! They're very slow, though. :dozey: 7) 2 more chapters, and I've finished reading "Roadie". :) 8) I can't order the Coldplay stamps from the Royal Mail online shop! An error always occurs when I press "confirm and pay" and they've still not replied to my email from Friday. Royal Fail, I rather say. :dozey: You're that Frida! I've seen you on Facebook, but couldn't make out what coldplayer you were. :) haha! I'd never seen this, thanks!
  9. Yay! Yeah, I think you're right. :surprised: Nice. Am I alone to think that the guy on the right resembles our own Joe (jsalyers)? :P
  11. What?! Where?! :shocked2:
  12. I'm at page 42 ATM. :awesome: I put the bookmark only realising afterwards. :P
  13. What have I missed? Well said. I feel the same way (except I was 8 and mine were Spice Girls :P). ♥
  14. Politik! It was the first thing that came to mind, when I saw the thread. It's incredible. @Macintosh
  15. Why didn't I think of that? (the person's even got my name and all. :P) It's so simple, but nice. It was insanely hot today!! :sunny: :sweatdrop:
  16. Thanks Ian!! Congratulations on the 10 years, Parachutes! (I'm loving the banner up now. :D) I've been listening to Parachutes in celebratory on this very hot, beautiful summer day. Most of it on the back seat in the car out in the country. I remember really realising exactly how beautiful some of those tunes are 2 years ago on a hot summer's day on the back seat in the car. It's making me a bit melancholic. Reading the first chapters of Matt McGinn's "Roadie" book about the album and the era and thinking about the two incredible concerts I went to adds to this feeling and makes me proud to be a Coldplay fan. (If, by one in a million chance, Phil, Debs or Miller happens to read this, please give the fellas my "Thank you, Coldplay. You're the best.")
  17. I bet it would be good. :smug:
  18. I claim this smiley:
  19. I have one. :) http://www.formspring.me/ClocksInMyPlace
  20. :P Guys approach my best friend, who has a boyfriend, never me. :dozey:
  21. I want a boyfriend.
  22. High heeled shoes are okay on a festival - if they are wedges! :P I love Beyoncé!! She always look amazing! :wacky: I really like the friendship between Chris, Gwyneth, Jay and B. :)
  23. I like to see that Gwyneth likes Barcelona and the food market at Las Ramblas just as much as I do. :)
