Because that idea worked so well with cigarettes, well over half the people I know smoke, young people stil seem to loads in general, why will they take notice of health warnings on alcohol anymore than they do with cigarettes?. I completly agree, but after the fall of the Berlin Wall Russia was a mess for most of the '90s, and their Military was in disarray, just look at their Submarine graveyards etc, but really they should keep wepons of mass destruction tightly guarded, economic disaster or not!.

What about the thousands of ex Soviet ones?, that worries me more, although Iran having nuclear capibility isn't something I feel comfortable with, I doubt they would use them, even against Israel who would blast them back to the stone age in return.

I've got no problem with people liking it, we all have different tastes,for instance I like 24, and happen to think The Sopranos was one of the best TV shows of recent years but you may feel completely different, I wouldn't try and convert you to my way of thinking which I feel some people try and do with Lost because it's such a cult show.

I doubt many people would react quickly enough to do anything in the time it would take to notice someone wearing a balaclava and someone pointing a 9mm in your face, plus in honesty what's the point in being a hero would you really want to die for the banks money?.

Of course their allowed to have that opinion but trying to convert everyone to the same way of thinking is what grates with me. I've attempted to watch it more than once and hated it, it's not like I'm making an uninformed decision to hate it.

Yes it makes perfect sense, like the UKs fear mongering and pointless investment in CCTV, were the most watched nation on the planet and do they actually catch anyone more because of it?, no it's a pointless waste of taxpayers money. Most criminals will wear hats etc or go to an area not on camera. Maybe you would be better off wrapping yourself in bubble wrap for the rest of your life. Do you really think anyone with sinister intent is going to care if it's illegal to cover their face before they do a bank robbery for example?.

My main worry isn't about transport so much, it's how heavily we rely on oil for farming, pesticides etc, when oil does run dry, which will be a slow and expensive process, I'm well aware it won't happen overnight, can the world really support 6bn people?, or more likely 8bn by the time it happens. Since the industrial revolution we've seen huge population increase but I fear the world can't naturally support it.

Peak oil will happen, I doubt in 5 years but in most of ours lifetimes, but instead of doing much about it we just continue using it and not finding viable alternatives, really great plan we have there.
