Employer told not to post advert for 'reliable' workers because it discriminates against 'unreliable
It was about as funny as stabbing yourself in the eye with a kitchen knife, maybe marginally less so actually.

Are Vampire Weekend taking the 'crown' of Arctic Monkeys ?

That was about as unfunny as Green Wing was.

To be fair the Arctic Monkeys(and I liked the Last Shadow Puppets effort equally if not more) actually make decent music, I personally find Vampire Weekends music rubbish, luckily for me then that I'm not a big listener to radio.

I doubt anyone is going to check into an applicants relibility history too deeply for a £5.80 an hour cleaning job. OMG they might lie!

sex offender?
I think that if a Dr,Teacher etc wants to be involved with someone under thier care and the other person is an adult then it's ok if they no longer accept them as thier patient/pupil and maybe even transfer to a different facilty altogether. I'm not sure exactly what the age of consent for gay/lesbian couples is either, I know it used to be higher at 18 for gay guys but I'm pretty sure there wasn't one for lesbian coupes until recently.

sex offender?
I think the teacher/pupil, Dr/patient etc relationship is highly unethical wether both people involved are over the age of consent or not. In my opinion 15 or 16 is the right sort of area to have the age of consent, I think in most states of the US it's 18 which is too high. In the UK it's 16,although I didn't feel the need to wait that long, if you're both under 16 then I don't think there's much legally they can do either.

sex offender?
What he did isn't right, even if she had been older he would still have been very un ethical but what he did in this case does pretty much constitute rape. It doesn't help in the US though that the age of consent is about 204.

No way!, I much prefer Galas.

Spoilt BY choice?
I hate it if I accidentally pick up the wrong apples if I'm in a rush and don't look that closely and end up with Braeburns instead of Royal Galas:laugh3:

The booze battleground: Labour and Tories head to head over 24-hour pubs
Cameron is on course for a Hung Parliment if he keeps coming up with rubbish like this, I will most likely still vote Conservative because it seems a better choice than Labour, he really does need to re think some of his more idiotic plans though.

'Smoking' baby Facebook picture sparks investigation into teenage mother
Not really, she's young and was no doubt fooling around, no harm came to the baby and there shouldn't have been the fuss that there was.

Another ****tish idea from Call Me Dave: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/election-2010/7051794/David-Cameron-taxes-green.html The more I read things like this, the more I consider spoiling my paper. I can't even get married and yet I'm meant to pay for tax breaks for people that do by having to pay yet more to drive, fly etc. Here's an idea why not cut back of forigen aid and pull out of an unwinnable pointless war to save money and get your own country in order before worring about other peoples, you would think someone educated at Eaton and Oxford would be inteligent enough to consider this.

To be fair I don't feel that alot of papers are, The Guardian for example while it clearly has left bias I wouldn't class as sensatioalist. The Independant is an ok read, The Express is ok from what I remember, I personally like The Telegraph. The Daily Mail has things along the lines of: "Watch out Immigrant, Muslim,Black,Homosexuals will take over the country, and claim benifits fear for your lives" Or other non stories like the baby with the unlit cigarette, by the looks of what other people have said I'm not the only one who has this sort of opinion of The Mail,I'm not criticizing you for reading it but I would take alot of what they say with a lorry load of salt.

Exactly, the kid wasn't in any danger, I think some peoples over reaction to this is pathetic, including the Police and Social Services ones.
