Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
November 27, 2009 - submitted by Imelda, United States of America Q. I don't know if the picture I saw is the official one but I saw one of Coldplay as Simpson characters and they were horrible. Why did they make Guy so ugly and old looking again? Also, the rest of the band look nothing like themselves either! Please answer. The Oracle replies: As far as I'm aware, no images from the band's upcoming appearance have been officially released. I do agree that the picture in circulation isn't the greatest likeness but The Simpsons isn't necessarily about identical resemblance. I can't say that many characters are attractive either though the Winona Ryder voiced Allison Taylor is pretty hot.

November 27, 2009 - submitted by Olivia, Germany Q. So Oracle, when do the guys start recording songs for the new Album ?! After the Latin American Tour ?! <3 The Oracle replies: The guys are already in the studio working on new ideas for the next album. They did have a break after the recent tour dates finished.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
November 27, 2009 - submitted by Kevin, United States of America Q. Dear all powerful and sexy Oracle, I recently discovered my girlfriend may be cheating on me, but I have no hard proof. She also wants me to get rid of my hamster Sammey, whom I love very much and have had since she was born. I'm worried that I might throw away something I hold very close to me, in order to satisfy another one that is close to me, whom may not feel the same way. what do I do? Thanks for at least reading this! I <3 u. The Oracle replies: Well Kevin I happen to think this is a case of love me, love my hamster. You've had Sammey since she was born so your girlfriend has been aware of her existence from day one of your relationship. I don't think you should give up your hamster for anyone! If your girlfriend loves you she will accept your pet is part of the deal. That's not even taking into account that you suspect her of cheating; that's an entirely separate issue that you need to tackle.

Yes... that was the girl next to me and there will be some more in the other videos... Youtube is really annoying at the moment, it keeps failing in uploading and when it does, it mixes up the titles :wtf: Anyways, these are up so far (about 10 more to come): [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmZ7bZ0hd7M]YouTube- Snow Patrol, RAH - Gary talk #1 - No means no[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miL_eRdJQ44]YouTube- Snow Patrol, Royal Albert Hall - Gary talk #2 Combusting Spontaneously[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES_gWRU636U]YouTube- Snow Patrol, RAH - Gary talk #3, Batten Down The Hatch[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HLMcyU0GYk]YouTube- Snow Patrol, Royal Albert Hall - Gary talk #4 - This is all real[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVT1Znk2K2s]YouTube- Snow Patrol, Royal Albert Hall - Gary talk #5 - Being freaked out, Olive[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_cKHiZOywE]YouTube- Snow Patrol, Royal Albert Hall - Gary talk #6 - Madonna was our support act[/ame] I love that story about playing at Live 8  Lars!! :cheesy: I totally agree about "Just say yes". Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
November 26, 2009 - submitted by Ellehcoj, Philippines Q. Dear Oracle, I truly feel I've known you for a long time. I don't know why really. Maybe we were friends in some other lifetime? Haha. What's playin' on the telly beside Chris during Viva la Vida performances? Could you post or direct us to the clip? It's quite interesting... And I think the band is playing different instruments. Am I right? The Oracle replies: Yes you're right though they're not actually playing the instruments for real. The television has been a featured prop during the Viva tour. November 26, 2009 - submitted by Ines, Portugal Q. Oracle, you're Dr. Frasier Crane aren't you? Ines The Oracle replies: I can't deny that I have long been a fan of Frasier. I aspire to be as popular in the advice giving stakes but I think I could beat him hands down with my Coldplay knowledge. It's a bit like Mastermind ... they're my chosen specialized subject! Great articles about Coldplay
2005 The importance of being earnest There are two other good articles from the LA Times but their site is under maintenance at the moment... Only recent articles? Maybe give her some links to audio interviews as well like that Absolute Radio Coldplay Documentary or the dl link for the "The Hour" video for example?

Great articles about Coldplay
Hi! Nice idea! What about The Reading Room and Coldplay in print as a starting point? If that isn't enough, we can still try to remember some other good articles... Also the I Need Coldplay Facts! thread and the official timeline could be good starting points??

Hi Jen!! :nice: Thanks! It's a Canon PowerShot SX200 IS. I can totally recommend it!! 12x zoom, 12,1 Mega Pixels, great AUTO mode but you can still also do the manual settings. Next video with Gary warning us that he could spontaneously combust during the gig in about half an hour, I'll upload more overnight.

Sorry, didn't see your post :embarassed: Yes, John Simm was one of the actors and the reason I went to see the play. I saw him series like "State of Play" and "Life on Mars" and he's a really talented actor  EDIT: bye Rania!! Sleep well!

Oh I forgot: Antonia, I bet Mando Diao will be awesome!! A friend of mine saw them yeaaaaaaars ago when they were in Munich and he loved them, he made me listen to them... Alison, please don't apologise!!!! It was very very great how nice you were with writing us the news! We had loads of fun! It's called "Speaking in Tongues"... it's a good story with lots of parts I loved. It's about relationships, trust, betrayal, coincidence, oh I think it's better if you read a summary somewhere  I don't think I can really summarise it well with just a few words... ...and just as I start talking about Twilight, the :vampire: or :whip: - Lady awakes!! I expect her to be here soon!!! Otherwise - if you're just reading it - Hi Noelia!!

The next morning I took a walk and saw this: Wasn't the Beehive though  Then I met my friend who's living in London and we ate sooooooo much food! It was my first time to eat chicken feet but I have to say they were good. You just musn't think about it... This is part of what she ordered for us: As it was a Sunday and there's no theatre performances on Sundays I met Elena in the evening and we watched Twilight: New Moon together. I laughed soooooo many times, and I was glad that the rest of the audience had to laugh during certain scenes too. Seriously - there was no need to take off that shirt in the first place, but the way he did it made it even more ridiculous  And all this walking around just in short pants, contracting every muscle he could feel in his body... (I confess I've been silently watching during other *coughEdwardheavilybreathingcough* scenes :uhoh:) Anyone of you seen the movie already?

So on Saturday when we arrived we had dinner at my favourite Japanese Restaurant near Leicester Square, then I went to pick up my ticket for the theatre. Elena's flight had been delayed and the bus to city centre was stuck in traffic on top. In the end her and her mother came straight to the theatre and we made it to our seats just in time!!! The play was awesome, I can't find words to describe it. At some parts all 4 actors were talking all at once - 4 actors played 9 characters as well. They were all great. And what I didn't know: One of the actresses was Lucy Cohu from "Becoming Jane" :awesome: She played Joe Anderson's older girlfriend, remember her? Anyways, afterwards I got my programme signed by 3 of them and this is my picture with John: Isn't he cute? :) (I have my eyes closed :disappointed:)

Oh Rania, that's nice of you!! I'm feeling much better, thanks. It's already a big difference now that I don't need the antibiotics anymore. I had to stop driving to the airport on Sat because I felt sick and then my friend had to continue driving... Then I puked a bit at a petrol station... wasn't the best beginning of the trip but I'll try to forget that now (and change my mood!). Where's Joe?? :sneakyjoe: I took this picture for him!

The official Chavi and Carla and friends off topic thread
Hi Rania, Hi Antonia (again )!! I'm alright, got home at 2:30am last night and went straight to bed, now my muscles ache from running A LOT on Monday (thanks to the rumour about CP / Chris playing at Stella McC's event even more) But it was so fun! I was running through London, drunk :drunk:, with Pete! But I should start at the beginning I think...

Me too! :laugh4: I knew that my camera wouldn't make good sound recordings of the songs anyways so I thought I might as well use all my memory for the talking inbetween. And it was worth it. All I'll say is: wait for the "Let's talk about my bum / jealous guitar" video

Elenaaaaaaaa!!! Danke, dass du One Day Like This ganz gefilmt hast  (= thanks for recording ODLK) Your sound is great! I loved the Ray Of Light cover soooo much too. I filmed all of Gary's talking inbetween songs, will take a long while to upload all the videos :bigcry:
