Across The Universe!
I saw that movie 5 times in the cinema!! (I work there so I'm glad I don't have to pay) The composition of pictures to the songs is brilliant. The soundtrack is great as well. (My co-workers complained already that they had to listen to it but it was the same with the "Once" soundtrack: playing the music in the foyer of the cinema is the best way to get people's attention for the movie) I was so impatient for the DVD to come out. A thing that really annoyed me: Why didn't they advertise the movie more? It should have been far more known. They could have used all the guest appearances at least to attract people: Joe Cocker, Eddy Izzard, Bono, Salma Hayek... I don't know what went wrong with Sony. Jim Sturgess? No. JOE ANDERSON!!! I will never get sick of watching him in that movie...

Once
I love that movie as well! I work at a beautiful independent cinema and we are currently re-showing it again. When it was new in the cinema I watched it and then immediately bought the soundtrack and played it in the foyer / lobby during the selling times. Many customers asked us what that music is and then they didn't need persuasion to watch it anymore :) (We have a lot of customers who ask for recommendations) Do you know Damien Rice? "Eskimo" is my favourite. I put "O" and the "Once" soundtrack together on one CD. <-- reason for my mental leap...

Whats the best tv-show?
I love "Life on Mars" and "Shameless"! Pity that "Extras" is over now... "Friends" is a nice break. Even when you know all of the episodes, it's always fun to rewatch them. Unfortunately I don't live in the UK and therefore can't discover new series from there - do you have a tip what to ship over next? "Doctor Who" is on my list... and is "The Catherine Tate Show" good?

Our Video of Coldplay's "Lost?"
Nice video! How long did it take to cut it together? I really like those concrete pillars and the walking and sitting on them. The bridge is a good scene also. Is that you in the video? Thanks for sharing!

Strings in VLV
I don't know if this has been asked somewhere else... During the concerts they play a black & white video in the TV next to the keyboards where you see them playing cello, violin etc. Do you think we will ever get that video? Or was it just made for the snippets in the song video and they use it during the concert? Even though they don't play those instruments, I think they have a very convincing posture (the way they hold the instruments and bows). I'd love to see that bigger!! And they are wearing suits!!!

Hi from Germany!
Hello! I'm a 24-year-old student from Germany, on the border to France. I think I have kind of a "bumpy" fan history... (In mathematical terms - it could be described as exponential :) ) I always liked their music, had the second album, listened to X&Y at work A LOT. But I never really got my teeth into the band (if that is the correct expression for not doing a lot of research, just enjoying the music). I was in London in June when the album was released - of course "Viva la vida" was everywhere! I bought "Q Magazine" and became more interested. I loved the new album immediately, especially "Lost" (in both versions) and "Strawberry Swing". After listening to the BBC Radio 1 concert I was hooked... So I had a look at the tour dates and since Strasbourg is not very far from where I live and standing tickets were a lot cheaper than in Germany I bought my ticket!! So on September 1st was my first Coldplay concert and it was just PERFECT!! Even though it felt like 36 degrees in the Zenith, Coldplay had my body under control: One time I had the goosebumps (esp. during "Hardest part"), a moment later I was just dancing, clapping and singing! It was "musical sex"!! I didn't even try to get close to the stage, we were standing in front of the technics area and that spot was fine. So after the concert I tried to find out as much as I could... and I'm still floating on that cloud, enjoying the music and thinking back to the atmosphere. What I especially love is that they're so funny! I didn't know "The Nappies" or the Christmas Message 2006, that is just priceless! In the past weeks I started my "Coldplay studies" and soaked in everything related to the band: this site of course (wow, you can spend entire nights on here and just forget the time), interviews, the timeline on coldplay.com, pictures, just as I said - everything! So now I am on coldplaying.com and the official site every day, read what you guys are writing and follow each concert thread like I was there myself. Last night arrived my "LIVE 2003" DVD and I enjoyed every minute of it with my hi-fi system well turned up! The Board is just HUGE! Thanks to everyone for collecting all the stuff, I am so glad that site exists. Long post short: See you around! Love, Anna
