I think the problem with American music, and American's taste in music, is that it is so manufactured and a lot of it is based on image and not talent and we can all give thanks to MTV for that. Funny MTV no longer plays music videos. As for the Pussycat Dolls...they're a lame excuse for a band. Only one sings and the rest are backup dancers.

I like the Fray but they sound like they wannabe Coldplaye. LOL!!

Artist of the Year and two group categories. One is favorite group pop/rock and the other is group alternative.

Maybe the reason why they did not sound that good was because they have not had a lot of practice/soundcheck time? Most of the artists have been warming up for a week and have been working with the crew to make them sound good, while Coldplay has been touring and today was the only day they had to practice in that setting. They've probably only practice for a real short period of time, if that.

I have no problem with Alicia Keys winning because her CD is one of the best CD's of the year along with Coldplay. Like I said earlier....Alicia would be the artist that would prevent them from winning all four awards, but I am positive they will win here soon.

I have nothing against Christina but it was a medley and it was not good, at least IMO.

Man, I wanted a scene from Kanye. Oh, is it just me or does it look like the lead singer from Nickelback had either botox injection in his forehead or some form of plastic surgery? His forehead looks awfully smooth.

There are more performances than awards but that is because there are not that many awards unlike the other award shows. That is what makes the AMA a little bit more unique. I think there are about 10 awards but I am not that positive.

Screw the other stars. Since Coldplay had to sit and listen to Christina sing crap for 7 minutes than it won't hurt her to clean up the butterflies for 7 minutes after listening to something beautiful. Edit: sorry I am typing way too fast for my brain to keep up.

Scott Weiland is a known drug addict. He's had a lot of problems with herion so the way he was talking did not surprise me. Pink looks nice. She looks better than Rhianna.

Yeah. I don't know how to get this across but, again, this is fan voting and not the industry. The industry tends to vote for dead people, people who've experienced hard times and come back, and so forth. The industry used to vote according to sales, which is what a lot of fans think someone should automatically win, but they ended up getting a lot of flack for it. With the AMA's no one complains because it is fan voting. I wonder if they will perform LIJ because that was the song that was playing when they came back from commercial, or will they do a medley since it seems like a few of the performers are doing medley's of their music. I think I will record this program and watch it later. I don't want to watch a lot of performers perform and hear all that fake talk they like to do.
