Coldplay to perform @ 2009 MusiCares person of the year gala, Los Angeles, Feb. 6
Oh, I love Neil Diamond's music. He has such a large collection of songs that Coldplay can choose from. Besides Sweet Caroline I wouldn't mind hearing them sing either Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon, Solitary Man, You Got To Me, Red, Red Wine, Thank The Lord For The Nightime,or I'm A Believer.

"Viva La Vida" Music Video Gets Recognition from VH1
LIJ may be the better video but it did not make this year's list because it has just entered their Top 20 video countdown. It will qualify for next year's countdown. But, if more people don't vote for it then it won't make the countdown. So far the highest position the LIJ video has achieved is 13, which does not make sense because Beyonce's video for Single Ladies has been much higher and it's just a silly video her dancing. You can vote on VH1's website. It's free and you can vote as many times as you like.

Good job! Those are some nice wallpapers. I've been wanting to make a wallpaper but I don't know what to do whenever I open up Photoshop. LOL!!

YAKUBU / BALACK OBAMA / GIMP LIVES HERE
Now, now. Be more mature than that. If you want people to discuss things with you and have an intelligent discussion then you need to show some intelligence and post comments that do not attack other board members. I don't understand why you have not been banned since you are not a fan of Coldplay and you are only here to start trouble by belittling the band and any one else.

YAKUBU / BALACK OBAMA / GIMP LIVES HERE
A baby has a better command of the English language than this poster. This baby seems to be getting upset since he/she/it has to type words in capital letters and he/she/it likes to call others' names when someone mentions their faults.

^^^^ Hey, I think you just offended all the mentally challenge people by comparing it to them. LOL!!! Whatever it is needs to work on both the semantics and syntax of the English language.

"Viva La Vida" Music Video Gets Recognition from VH1
I may be one of the few people who liked the Hype Williams's video for VLV. I'm not saying it's the best video ever made but I don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be. I agree with the lady from Entertainment Weekly that the combining of music and art (colors, cracks in the images) was a good combination. The video goes with Delacroix's art and it's nice. BTW...you can vote for the videos. I have been voting for LIJ every week and so far the video has made it up to #13 on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown. Interesting to note that under director for LIJ is Malachy McAnney. I wonder why Mat did not use his real name? Oh. Lost and Violet Hill never made the countdown.

"Viva La Vida" Music Video Gets Recognition from VH1
Actually, the actual comment from the lady was that they were the best band in the universe (so true). I loved how the comedian said that she loved Chris Martin. I do agree with the Entertainment Weekly representative that the video was a good result of combining music and art. FYI....Bleeding Love was the top video of the year and for once Coldplay beat Beyonce.

Today I wore my VLV t-shirt to school...
As a teacher I can honestly say that I would care. But, I probably would have looked the other way and said that I didn't hear the comment because, well, I agree with the poster's comment. LOL!!

This individual is like George W. Bush.. Bush talks incoherently and this **** writes incoherently. I guess it's the language of ****s that only they can understand.

Gwyneth...
Who said that they have to be there? Just because one is nominated does not mean that they have to attend. Though many celebrities attend award shows, just as many celebrities avoid award shows even if they are nominated. The interesting thing is that the category Gwyneth is nominated in is going to be announce before the show is even aired on TV and while some are still arriving at the show. So, it would be interesting to see if she attends to see if she wins and then comes out early enough to walk the red carpet.

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
Well, I voted and he's still losing. After looking at the list of men in the top ten I can honestly say...wtf?!?!?! With the exception of Johnny Depp, who is currently in the top ten, the other guys are ugly. I have no doubt that the girls who are voting are drunk. You know they say that with alcohol anyone and everyone looks good. YIKES!!

Absolute Radio: Songs of the Year - Please vote for Coldplay!
I voted. As for Hallelujah, well, I believe the reason why it's on the list is because it was re-released and it hit number 1 early in the year after that druggie contestant (Jason Castro) on American Idol performed it. I like the song but they should not include songs that were released earlier.

Gwyneth...
Yep, they're damn if they do or damn if they don't walk down the red carpet together. If they do walk together then people are going to say that they are trying to make it seem that their marriage is all good just like Madonna and Guy. When things were being said about them that is what they did and look what happened a few months later...divorce. But, if they don't then the media will still say their marriage is on the rocks. It's a no-win situation for them. IMO, I think they should not give in to the media by walking the red carpet together so that they can be photographed together. They made the agreement of not doing those things and they should stick to it. If they give in to the media then the media wins and the media should never win by forcing folks to do something that they don't want to do. As long as they know that their marriage is fine then that is all that matters. It doesn't matter what the media or anyone else want. If they're happy then screw the rest.

No s**t. Really? I would not have known that even though I am a teacher. Thanks for pointing that out to me. The point is....the courts are not going to go by what is written down on a piece of paper. In order for jurors to truly analyze the pieces they are going to use the technology to actually break it down for them with the assistance by the real musical experts. For me, though I am good at music, I don't think it's worth paying attention to so-called experts who will not play a part in the case and who have nothing bother to do with their time. Just like I need to find something better to do with my time than replying to this idiotic thread. So I'll stop and let the real experts do the talking.

I'm sick of it. I think that is because of all the so-called experts who feel that they must impart their knowledge on the others who they think don't know anything.

So you copied before? How interesting! Case is not closed. You say that you made your conclusion based on working it out on paper but yet you did not need write it down to analyze. So why bother writing it down if you didn't need to? To prove you can type? Just because you based your determination off of your writing that will not be the case in court. The music business and the court will not rely on what one writes down on paper to determine the result. They are going to use and provide technology for the jurors to help settle this case because the jurors are not going to be the "expert" that you are. So, the case is open.

Sir, ma'am, it, whatever...you still don't get it. You don't think a lot of Coldplay fans haven't discussed the things you are bringing up? Believe it or not but a lot of us have. There are irrelevant comments made by fans by both parties but the majority of fans have discussed those issues and it's a shame that those discussions are overlooked. You come to this form because you want Coldplay fans to accept "the facts". That is pretty rude if you ask me. I think any intelligent person will listen and accept the facts that are presented by the experts from both parties and who actually work in the music business for the record companies, and not from someone who "I have a degree in music composition therefore I know what I am talking about and you don't" so-called expert. Unless you actually work for a record company and you are one of their hired professionals and/or expert than you sir or ma'am are not an expert.

So Coldplay, Tappin Gofton (design and art direction), Eugene Delacroix and Dan Green (photography) can sue you for obviously copying their work without their permission? I think they can because that is registered to them and that is their work. Anyway, I think folks need to remember that they are hearing songs that have been edited and mixed so you're not really hearing the true version. When, and if, they go to court, the jurors will have access to technology that will break the songs down better than one's own freaking ear. They will be able to determine if there's any plagiarism and, if so, whether it's by coincidence or by accident. Remember, you can hear and see things that are not totally accurate even if you are an "expert."

No, it don't fit and it's not funny. I would not say anything about Joe or any other person/group whether I liked them or not, but I guess that's because I have a little bit more class. Yeah, he has a fan base of musicians who can't make it. BTW...How do you know Coldplay does not have a large fan based of musicians? Is it because they don't go around acting like a f**king expert like a lot of fans of Joe Satriani?

You say that your intent is not to trash Coldplay but your poster name, signature, and links to things labeled as fraud shows just the opposite. You think that its funny but it's not. Just like if a Coldplay fan would do something like that, folks would say that is not funny. It's an attack. Plain and simple. Personally, I am tired of all Joe's fans saying that they have facts to prove it and they are experts because they play an instrument or have a f**king degree. I am sure Coldplay has facts too and they have degrees too, well all but one. I would rather listen to the lawyers and their experts, which they will call on, to determine the truth instead of the fans of anyone who "claim" they have facts because in reality they don't know the facts.

Guitarist Joe Satriani sues Coldplay for plagiarism
I do think Coldplay fans understand that the other side is going to argue their case. I think the problem is that Coldplay fans are being attacked, though not here, and the fact that this guy's fans always want to insert that "I'm a musician, I have a music degree, I play a guitar," and so forth therefore they knew what they are talking about. No offense but your comment seems to hint that Coldplay fans are almost irrational or hardheaded because they are not understanding that the other side is going to argue, and I do not believe that is true.

Like I said earlier...someone should contact the estate of Eugene Delacroix because that poster just copied/plagiarize his artwork and you know he does not have permission to do so. Just because he added some words to the painting does not mean it's a totally new piece of artwork. LOL!!!

Guys, don't respond to him. He is a troll because this post is already in the proper thread (where it should be) and he's created this thread, again, just to start trouble.
