I am so glad that they got nominated but I don't feel good about some of them. I have concern over Adele and her song, "Chasin Pavements." The Grammys have this weird thing where they like to give the awards to not-well known artists. Remember Norah Jones and how she won big though nobody really knew who she was? I got a feeling it's going to be like that. I do hope I'm wrong. I just wish I can predict winners in music as well as I do in football(soccer) games.

I hate the nominess in Record of the Year except for VLV.

Record of the Year: Adele Coldplay Leona Lewis MIA Robert Plant/Allison Kraus

They are supposed to have a new CD out next year. Yes, they are different. Song goes to the songwriters and Record goes to the artists. You can win Song but not Record of the Year. Normally, Record deals with the overall quality and performance of the song, while Song is based on the quality of the lyrics.

Yeah, and perhaps E News. However, I don't know when they will announce 'em. Will they announce them right after this program or tomorrow morning? They normally announce the nominations first thing in the morning but this year it's different.

I wonder if they are going to announce the nominees for Song of the Year? I really want to know who got nominated in that category. I hope VLV gets a nod.

I would type the nominees for Rap Dup/Group Performance but I don't think I can spell any of the nominees. Why did they say Big Boi with Andree 3000? They should just say Outkast.

She did better at the AMAs.

One thing...you have to remember that there are other categories that Coldplay can get nominated in and those won't be shown on TV.

It may to you but not to the Grammys, and that is why the Grammys lost respectibility because they were giving the awards due to what was popular and not to what was actually good. Radiohead has the most critically acclaim CD of the year therefore they have the advantage. Are they popular? Not as popular as Coldplay but they have the best reviewed CD out of any of the nominess. Lil Wayne has the sales but the Grammys tend to overlook the sales numbers now.

Popularity means nothing when it comes to the Grammys. People need to stop thinking that popularity means awards.

I don't think they have it the bag. Radiohead or Lil Wayne would be the top contenders.

My take on the Best New Artist...Duffy..no, she's a Amy Winehouse wannabe but without the drugs. Adele...I am not familiar with. Lady Antebellum...who are they?Jasmine Sullivan...who?, and Jonas Bros...there went my dinner. Weak category so I'll just ignore it.

You know about the Best New Artist curse, don't you? Most of the artists who have won that award end upi disappearing not long after winning it.

I can not believe that Leona Lewis or Katy Perry were not nominated for Best New Artist. I don't care for either one but leaving those two out is unbelievable. Man, I think the Jonas Bros might get an award.

FYI....the Grammy nomination concert will only announce six categories. They will announce the nominations for Record, Song, Album, Best New Artist, and two others that I am not sure of on Wednesday night. The other categories will be announced off-screen but I do not know whether those will be done in the morning or before/after the concert. So, we won't know whether or not Coldplay is nomianted for the major categories (Record, Song, and Album) until Wednesday night starting at 9 pm eastern time. I'm keeping my fingers cross that they'll get nominated in those categories. Too bad that I have to sit and watch artists that I don't like sing their songs just to find out whether or not Coldplay gets nominated.

I hate to be skeptical here but I do not believe that is Guy. What I mean is that I do not believe Guy has a Facebook page for two reasons. The first reason is I read somewhere that someone was posing as Guy on Facebook. The second reason is I can not imagine someone as famous as Guy having a Facebook page. It just wouldn't make any sense. Also, if any famous person has a Facebook or even a MySpace page they are not the ones who have any contact with it. They have their assistants or managers run it and post things. If I can find the article about someone posing as Guy than I'll post it.

Don't lose hope. The Grammy's been pretty good at not rewarding crap like Britney Spears. So I really can't see them or Miley getting awards either.
