  1. If you go to the Indonesian iTunes store, you may or may not see "Another's Arms" as being available. DESPITE its availability, if you look at the popularity meter to the right of it (this is in the desktop version of iTunes), you'll see that it already has a rating available to be seen. Of course, if the song isn't available, the rating meter - along with the rest of the track - will be dimmed out, but you can still see a colour gradient that makes it apparent that the meter is functioning somehow, THUS some people must be able to buy the track already! So, all of this being said, it appears the track is on a slow release. I imagine that we'll all have it by the end of the day (it's 12:11 pm where I am). TL;DR Atlas Project isn't lying. The track is slowly becoming available. :P
  2. Indeed, except that Guy isn't singing to begin with. There's a whispered/spoken part in the track and that's what Guy is doing. For a clearer example, listen to the studio version. :P

*And with all your magic I disappear from view And I think he sings "precious jewel" rather than "precious two" *Wanna fall I fall so far I wanna fall I fall so hard
  4. Sorry Android folks. :/ Maybe it'll be there soon. The link I'm posting, however, should take you to a web page. So see if it will do that for you. If not, then I guess you'll just have to be patient. :(
  5. BECAUSE HERE: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/magic/id829909653?i=829909824&ign-mpt=uo%3D4#&at=11lDJ&ct=3444871b6b93dab544d991a3da4af2f9
  6. It grows. Sort of a contemporary/r&b vibe to start out with with clean vocals that slowly works its way into a larger, sparkly, bright sound. The lyrics are about the magic of love, if you will, between two people. Very big and atmospheric in sound with plenty of reverb on the piano. New Coldplay, for sure!
  7. Glad you saw my post! THIS IS INCREDIBLY EXCITING (in case you haven't noticed). Lol!

  9. THE ALBUM CAN ALREADY BE PRE-ORDERED AND YOU CAN BUY "MAGIC" NOW. I DON'T EVEN!!!!
  10. WOOOOAAAAAHHHHH. May 19th! This is epic!!!
  11. Coldplay never ceases to amaze in the mystery and excitement department leading up to a new record. The Viva and MX times leading up to their respective releases were incredible! I remember how the Viva-era website was all interactive and puzzle-filled and you could play games to unlock the album artwork, not to mention how we had Prospekt writing EPIC studio updates (better than Roadie #42, in my honest opinion). Those were incredible times. And then the MX-era website should be pretty fresh on our minds (feels like it was just yesterday!). I had a lot of fun trying to piece together all the clues were we given in the website's artwork (e.g. What's the significance of the "MX" and "UFO" on the "News" icon's newspaper? What's the importance of the pink and blue colour scheme? etc.). Of course, it all makes sense now, but it makes me super-excited for the new website. I wonder if it will be filled with mysteries and clues, or if they're going to be oddly straightforward about everything and just throw it all out there? Maybe we'll know in 30 minutes. :D
  12. I'll take Midnight (see what I did there?), especially if it's EST, since that's under an hour away. If I may be colloquial by means of internet speak: much excite such magic many coldplay wow I know. That was bad and I should feel bad. I do. I can't help it. Forgive me?
  13. I think it's safe to say that one of the larger reasons there was such a big gap between the released of ETIAW and Mylo Xyloto was because of all the festivals they were attending throughout the summer. If I had to guess, they wanted to give us a new track to kick off the summer festivities, play some material from the record during the festivals, release the album, and then start the tour. Seeing as they don't presently have any a large string of festivals in which to perform this coming summer, I would think there's less reason for them to prolong the release of LP6 from the time of the release of its first single (tentatively "Magic"). So, my guess is that we'll have the 1st official album single - Magic - tomorrow and then the new record sometime around this May. At this very moment, Coldplay's website is acting funny when I try to access it (i.e. it kicks me to the mobile version of the website) which it was also doing just before they released "Midnight." If that's indicative of anything, it could very well be that they're preparing the website for the release of "Magic." Even more exciting to consider is that if "Magic" is the first single from LP6, they might also unveil the LP6-era website tomorrow! The prospects of what we'll see tomorrow are incredibly exciting and are making it hard for me to focus on my university studies. :P So anyway, that's my 2 cents on the matter. Can't wait to see what happens next!
  14. Still no change in the UK iTunes store (not for me, at least). Anybody else?
  15. Love how they played a song called "Atlas" on BBC Radio 1 a second ago, yet it was not Coldplay's Atlas. So much stress! I hate waiting for new material, but the wait can be fun, stress aside. Tickkle seems to things that we don't. What is this madness of which you speak? Where do you get this information?? I need some cake or something.
  16. "Gauzy" actually means "minimal," or, "thin and translucent." So, if the review of the song means what the words used in it mean, then the song will actually have less production. Of course, there's always that chance that the author of the review meant "gauzy" in a different way, but I wouldn't think that's the case. Here's to hoping for the best!
  17. No Change No, the EP and album versions of Major Minus are the same. Nonetheless, it would definitely be interesting to hear alternate versions of all the songs! As for Chris's voice in HLH, there's nothing done to his lead vocal to distort it. It's the backing vocal that goes along with the chorus that has effects on it that give it a more synthetic, robotic sort of a sound. If there's anything done to the lead vocal, it'll be layer of vocal takes to make it sound more powerful and rich. Oracle confirmed that auto-tuning is never used on Chris's voice, so that's not an option. Other than the possibility of vocal layering and maybe some reverb added onto the track, his lead vocal is pretty clean. The only notable place where the lead vocal has anything synthetic added would be the "Ooo's" at the very end. So, that's about that! And to confirm what else has been said, the leaked tracks that came out ahead of the official release were the unfinished versions that had either not been completely mixed or had not been mastered. If anyone should have any questions, I am an audio engineer and can analyze/tear apart any song about which you may have any inquiries. Of course, this being a Coldplay forum, I would be more than happy to give engineering information about Coldplay music. :)
  18. Thanks! Excellent! Thank you for doing that. That's the one. :)
  19. Whoops! I'm quite sorry. It's actually supposed to be this one. http://www.coldplay.com/oracle.php#!prettyPhoto/6/ If that doesn't do it, then I'll just go to sleep.
  20. Also Oh yeah, and it appears that it's unlikely LP6 will be acoustic. NONETHELESS, that doesn't limit it from being rockier! Perhaps LP7 will be more "acoustic". To the LP7 thread! Awaaaay!
  21. LP6? Well... Well, I'm afraid the Oracle has brought us the unfortunate news that it will be a while before we hear anything at all about the new album or what it will sound like (at least, we won't see it on Coldplay.com for a while). Here's the confirmation: http://www.coldplay.com/oracle.php#!prettyPhoto/6/ Hopefully, though, we'll get some news via word-of-mouth from the band outside of the website. Some people need to go over to the studio in the coming months and see if there's anything going on! :guitarist::ears::nod: Not to be persistent or overtly nosey or anything. Just to see if anyone's around and, perhaps, if anyone's available to talk! But make it a relatively brisk walk by the studio. Make it nonchalant and inconspicuous. If you happen to be/live in England, that is! Or just scrap that idea and wait and wait and wait until we have something new! *sigh*
  22. Reply If he did, his influence would have been subconscious, as he was not present for a lot of the writing and recording sessions. His influence is there, but nowhere near as strong as in Viva la Vida. As far as their producers are concerned, they have so many producers for various reasons. Eno and Dravs play a larger role in helping Coldplay shape their music, but Dravs plays an engineering role as well. Then there is Rik Simpson, who is one of their chief engineers (for mixing), as well as Dan Green, who's also an engineer. When it comes to engineering music, the more people on board, the better, as you have more ears available to pick out things that a single person may not hear (this isn't always the case, but it's a decent idea to follow). Let's not forget Jon Hopkins, who played a small role in Mylo Xyloto with his own musical skills as well as his producer abilities. He also played a smaller role in Mylo Xyloto than in Viva la Vida. I think it may be best if Hopkins and Eno took a more prevalent role again as with Viva la Vida so that the band will constantly be pushed to perfection instead of only having that subconscious, mental reminder that they had for Mylo Xyloto.
  23. Eno's Involvement in Making Mylo Xyloto and LP6 Actually, Eno's involvement on Mylo Xyloto was very minimal compared to Viva la Vida. Perhaps if he had been more involved it would have been better? Chances are he'll come back for LP6 and play a similar role as he did with MX. I'd prefer he be more involved to keep the boys in line, but we'll see what happens.
  24. Least Favorite Track from Each Album Hmm... My least liked depends on my mood, really. Sometimes I like a song the least on an album, but may turn around the next week and really enjoy that song more than others that I liked better the previous week. So, I suppose this is really subjective. Anyway, here we go! Parachutes: Everything's Not Lost (Though, it's always great to experience live!) A Rush of Blood to the Head: Daylight X&Y: Fix You/Twisted Logic (Depends on the mood) Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends: Lost! Mylo Xyloto: Charlie Brown/Us Against the World (Absolutely nothing wrong with these tracks, I'm just not always in the mood for them. Really, it's not even that they're my least favorite on the album, I'm just not always in the mood from them - I don't have a least favorite, really). So, like I said before, it ultimately depends on my mood. For most of the albums, I don't have a "least favorite", there are just some that tend to fit my mood the least. It all shifts around. :)
  25. Confirmation I would also like to point out that the Oracle basically confirmed today that the Mylo Xyloto tour is coming to a close/is almost over, which means that work on LP6 will likely start early next year (if they don't take a break)! Hooray! Here's the post: October 22, 2012 - submitted by Jameson, United States of America Q. G'day, Oracle! Now that the Mylo Xyloto comics have gotten so much more attention since the release of the HLH music vid, are the boys planning on incorporating any of the characters/animations into their shows? On the large screens where the multi-colored running man is, for example. Hope you're having a good one! The Oracle replies: No, they're not. It would be pretty pointless to start anything new given the MX tour is coming to a close. Those characters have been around longer than the record so if anything it would have made sense to have them from the beginning.
