  1. "We Never Change" is definitely my least favorite song on Parachutes, and even though I don't dislike it, it doesn't come close to the serene beauty of "High Speed". Lyrically, both songs are okay though nothing special, although combined with the "living life inside a bubble" line repeated in High Speed, I always envision a gently blowing field with surreal orange bubbles floating upward when listening to it.
  2. Swallowed in the Sea The one song I most wish to see make a setlist return.
  3. Mine too! If they're putting out any more singles from D&A, it should be something a little different like Joy Ride (even though I'm not a big fan of it). On another note, B-side "All the Pretty Faces" has been confirmed for Guitar Hero 5. Talk about a freaking random song choice... :inquisitive:

Becoming more acoustic doesn't mean they have to totally escape the crowd-pleaser rock anthems. They can have a healthy mix as long as the album still flows well.
  5. Nice video. Didn't really get the story at first, but I started piecing it together as the video went on. All of The Killers' videos so far for Day & Age have been pretty good.
  6. In the traditional "love song" sense, I'm tempted to go with The Scientist, although Amsterdam is probably the strongest lyrically.
  7. Viva La Aniversario! :D
  8. The Hardest Part / Postcards From Far Away 80 + Viva La Vida 13 -
  9. If you mean pre-Parachutes sound, I agree, which is not surprising since it was indeed first released before Parachutes.
  10. If featuring incorrect lyrics 95% of the time weren't enough, fan-submitted lyrics websites are buggy as hell. It's why I appreciate when bands put their lyrics up on their own official websites so that I don't have to tread through pop-up-infested waters (or worse).
  11. Skipping Snow Patrol? Oh, how I'd kill to see them as my opening act. :inquisitive: I've heard they've been playing for a good 40 minutes.
  12. Absolutely. I've seen several folks call it the weakest track on Parachutes, but I prefer it to probably half the tracks. It's a rather toned-down listen, but the gentle tune really sucks you in at the beginning.
  13. Coldplay is bliss. Coldplay is laughter. Coldplay is friendship. Coldplay is life. Coldplay brightens up my day when I'm sad. Coldplay makes me shed tears when I'm happy. Coldplay is my strength. Coldplay is my sanity. Coldplay drains my wallet like no other. Coldplay consumes my life. Coldplay fills the emptiness. Coldplay is art. Coldplay is beautiful. Coldplay is amazing. :):D Happy 1000 Posts. :D:)
  14. Coldplay should cover material by Oasis just for the sake of pissing off Liam Gallagher. Who knows, maybe they'd even make one of Oasis' songs better. :P
  15. I swear we have a Keane thread already. In fact, I'm positive we do because I've posted in it several times. You just may have to dig back a few pages. EDIT: Oh, you mean "favorites" threads. Honestly, they're getting excessive and creating clutter. I'm fine with single threads for a band. To answer the question, it's a toss-up between Bedshaped and Perfect Symmetry.

As much as I love Parachutes, I don't want a rehash of a previous album. I'm totally fine with drawing elements from Parachutes (in fact, it would sound great), but mirroring a past work generally does you no favors. In other words, go ahead and give me an evolution of Parachutes along with other new tricks they have, not Parachutes 2.0.
  17. Plug In Baby  Actually, that's my favorite Muse song three or four times a week.
  18. The Hardest Part / Postcards From Far Away 79 + Viva La Vida 14 - Movin' on down...

  21. I only really get that feeling when I listen to a band that has gone on record of slandering Coldplay...like Oasis. Actually, when someone from Coldplay compliments a band, I get the urge to listen to that band more. :)
  22. Very artistic and creative! :D
  23. Cute, nostalgic, and insightful. Now we will forever wonder who this other band is.
