REQ: The Singles and B-Sides Book
Does anyone have a scan of this? Looks like it'd be quite interesting... hopefully it will be like the earlier coldplay books and be what is actually played rather than the recent VLV/PM books.... Alrighty, which one is the right one?!!??!!?
This is where the Viva/PM books actually do come in handy: the chord boxes seem to all be accurate. Using those you can do your own arrangement, similar to Chris' "Acoustic Piano" versions. That's what I've been doing.

Alrighty, which one is the right one?!!??!!?
Also want to confirm: first is the piano book which is in the style that is popular these days: add the melody line instead of teaching you what the artist is actually playing (which is odd considering the first three coldplay books were are SHOCKINGLY accurate). its also for Lost! (you can find Lost? in the Prospekt's March book which is also on here, but be forewarned... it too is not all that accurate, especially when you get to the big octaves). The second one is the closest we've got so far. However personally I find it to be very poorly layed-out. If theres one good thing about the officially book its the larger notes, and chord boxes. The online book is harder to read (smaller notes) and doesn't have the big chord boxes. That said, it comes closer/closest to what you hear on the album. If only they'd do the PM book now...

[Downloads] Coldplay piano sheet music links
I think I have that, the book from pianofiles or whatever... its better (closer) but im not sure its spot on. not to mention I wonder why the heck they're different...

[Downloads] Coldplay piano sheet music links
thanks so much! though i wish the Viva/PM books were like the old books which (to me at least) seemed to be damn near EXACTLY what chris was playing (ie. mostly chords) these books however have moved into the popular route that sheet music has these days where they incorporate the melody line into the piano - which sometimes chris does, but usually not. other times they're just plain wrong (the piano solo bit in Lost? with the octaves is way lower than it should be - granted easier to play, but inaccurate). not that im not greatful! im so glad someone uploaded these, and its not your fault at all! just the arrangers...

well thank you! You can always do what i did, one for disc one and one for disc two. i'll probably make some more, in the same style for the other concerts (replacing the pictures behind the I with ones from the shows that the recording came from)

Glad you liked 'em. I figured I'd do two for disc one and two but didn't bother to label it as such on the art itself so that people could decide for themselves.

so is Elbow confirmed to be the opener? I heard a rumour that Postal Service was opening for a bunch of shows - which would be amazing if they did here too since they're one of my favourites! sadly I think we only get elbow... whom I've never heard of.

The Hardest Part - Piano
best advice: grab the X&Y sheet music book and modify whats written there. he's essentially just playing the chords that are listed there. its going to be tough to get it exact, it will take lots of time and practice but you can get pretty close.

Does Coldplay allow for Bootlegs?
Okay. I remember when I saw them last time Chris told us to take lots of pictures (it was the toronto show that was filmed for the DVD that never materialized and became the How We Saw The World special). I also know during the john mayer tour last summer he said the only thing to be warry of was the rules of the venue, if they don't allow recording equipment dont bring it. I wonder what the rules of Skydome (or Rogers Centre for the youngins) is like? I also hope someone who knows what they're doing records the show cause I doubt mine will be good quality...

Coldplay Better Indoors or Outdoors?
Hmmm.... so im seeing them in the skydome in toronto... would LOVE if the dome was open which would make it amazing. but i doubt it will be.

Does Coldplay allow for Bootlegs?
So last summer when John Mayer was on tour he put out a message to all the fans encouraging them to record the concerts and send him the links, which he would then post to his website for all the other fans to download. I was just curious if anyone knows coldplay's stance on audio recordings of their shows. Do they allow it? Do they care? Will they disown you? Anyone have any thoughts? I'm going to the show in Toronto this july and would love to try and make a recording of it. I know nothing about doing so but figured couldn't hurt to try. Maybe we'll get lucky and someone who knows what they're doing will be going.
