  1. I feel like I once had these but have seemed to lost them. I downloaded a Pretenders version but it was HORRIBLE. Anyone have the sheets to the beautiful coldplay rendition?
  2. sadly i can only open it online (im on a mac) and the print to pdf option doesn't work (the little applet you have to use wont let you print to file) scanning is an OPTION but not ideal as there will be some generation loss... DAMN YOU MUSICNOTES!
  3. I just bought a sheet music file and it arrived as .mtd (and not PDF as I was expecting). Anyone know of a way to actually open it/convert it to PDF so that I can, you know, use my purchase outside of just the one printed copy?
  4. Totally down for this! sounds like a great idea!
  5. Does anyone happen to know what Chris is playing during that fabulous rendition for I Heart Radio. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpjibsEoR5Q]YouTube- Coldplay - "Billie Jean" (Michael Jackson cover) Live & Acoustic "Stripped" on I Heart Radio[/ame] I found tabs online for the guitar bits but nothing for the piano bits. Since it's my all time favourite MJ song I'd love to be able to play this rendition...
  6. this was my submission but its technically 45 sec. too long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixxs25irdkw i might also submit this: or this:
  7. could you point me in the right direction... i tried searching and had no luck.
  8. Has anyone seen whats going on at the site? It's got a new homepage, the header tells us that Coldplay requests the pleasure of our company, with a link to RSVP at the bottom. Wonder what its for? Anyone know?
  9. at the toronto show one gate ran out (they had ONE box) but once you headed out to the main gate they had PLENTY. that said get their quick to ensure you get one ;) its a gorgeous little disc!
  10. for those interested: I managed to tape a few tunes on my iPod touch (with my headphone mic). The quality is not great... listenable but once the crowd gets going it breaks apart and clips like crazy. will try to fix some of it but I think its MOSTLY a lost cause. that said, enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?mmmm2dnzzzn If only we had the whole thing!
  11. billy bob thorton seems to think otherwise :P also for those interested: I managed to tape a few tunes on my iPod touch (with my headphone mic). 12. Here's my review of the show: I've been to only a handful of concerts, but they have been some of the biggest names in music today. I had also previously been to a Coldplay concert a few years back during the "Twisted Logic" tour (it was, in fact, my first concert ever) which I was not particularly wild about (bad seats, poor lighting, bad company, bad atmosphere, etc.) But when I heard Coldplay would be returning for the Viva la Vida tour I knew I simply must attend. VLV was my favourite album of 2008 and the songs were much more conducive to a stadium atmosphere than stuff from their previous albums. I knew that they boys would not disappoint. While the first opener was not exactly outstanding, I was surprised by Elbow and quite enjoyed their performance. But I was there for Coldplay, my favourite band, and I wanted to hear all of my favourites. And hear them I did. In fact there were only a few songs that I *LOVE* that didn't make it into the show. That said, the inclusion of Green Eyes *and* an Acoustic version of Billie Jean more than made up for it (my favourite band performing my favourite song by my favourite solo artist – so this is what paradise is!). The company was great, the boys were on fire, the music was magical, the images (lighting/video backdrops) were stunning. My only regret was that I wasn't sitting in the floor seats where the Yellow balloons landed and the butterflies fell (surely they could have shot some into us poor stand seaters). They even gave us free CDs for crying out loud! I sung myself hoarse (yes, I sang along to *every single* song). I had an absolute blast. I thought it was going to be tough to top last summer's John Mayer concert, but they did it. A night I will never ever forget My only complaint: $40 for a t-shirt is outrageous. I already dropped $100 for seats (and dont get me started on the shameful behaviour on behalf of Ticketmaster), please don't gauge me for a shirt! (of course I paid, since I want to support my boys). 5 stars. Hands Down.
  13. seriously, I have to make sure to get floor seats for the next show. i better start saving now...
  14. now that im actually home from holidays perhaps i'll write a review (what a great start to a holiday might i add). i too LOVED the pre-show music. especially all the ambient brian eno-ish stuff. my guess is that much of it was Jon Hopkins, the guy who did the opening bit of life in technicolor and the escapist. absolutely PHENOMENAL musician. wish he had opened again this year (though Elbow was effing AWESOME!)
  15. shame theres no good quality audio bootleg. i did record a few songs on my iPod though. will post later tonight.
  16. All I know is that when I saw John Mayer last year and the year before it was fine. The Venue also CLEARLY states on the website cameras are allowed, but Prosumer cameras, video cameras, and recording devices are not. So honestly, I wouldn't worry too much. i've printed the flag for me and my two friends. we'll be utter losers up in the 124 section but if you look and see some people showing their flags you'll know coldplayers are among you!
  17. wish I too was in the pit. but hey, i couldn't exactly take out a lone just for tickets ;) im still pumped! with the new speakers and screens i should be fine! wonder if anyone here is my neighbours: sec 124, row 4
  18. regular cameras are fine. pro-sumer (DSLR) and Video aren't. im supposed to go in gate 11. but maybe we'll pop by six to say hi?
  19. Section 124, row 4. See ya there! any word on if anyone will be recording audio from the show? i'd love to have a bootleg as a memento. also, can someone link me to the flag again so i dont have to dig through this MASSIVE thread?
  20. so whats the story behind these? they're absolutely INCREDIBLE! Im so glad someone was kind enough to share!
  21. yeah generally venues dont care about point and shoots anymore. video cameras and DSLRs are a no-no though. which sucks.
