Really...that does sound like a very depressing situation. I live here in London with 5 housemates.....3 of them are gay and the remaining one and myself are straight.... I have witnessed some pretty awful situations where people have became really offensive toward one of my freinds (as he is the most "camp" out of the 3) Shouting nasty comments, throwing things, getting in his and threatening to slice him open. And I hear what you have said about your town/school and I really worry that nothing is changing and that not enough peoples minds are able to develop their own opinions. I remember how easy it was to go along with "the group" at school, just agree and all get on with being complete shits to everyone.....but I was raised better and quickly got away from it by the age of 16, when I woke up. But with more controlled thinking being forced upon people around the world....Bush can currently just about get away proposing such neanderthal ammendments.

I know what you mean..... At first, I remember wondering why gay people would want to be married (I was thinking the whole church wedding thing). I thought gay people would want to be as far away from the church as possible.....but then I remember after reading about it I saw the REAL reason why it was a decent issue. Again it's sometimes not their own fault for having these silly views...Some people have just had the misfortune of being raised a certain way or are from a certain area and have had all this backwards logic grown insdie of them.....and they can't get it out. But sometimes people are just people......awkward, senseless folk who have the worst possble views on abosloutely every situation and will argue it without even thinking one thought that came from their own mind. It's stuff they've heard from other sorces, like their family, their teachers, their president, their TV and the media.....people seem to have lost the ability to question things anymore....it's the way the media/gov have got people these days....speak up about something and your a nut job or even a possible international terrorist......I suppose this is also part of the way people are growing up....but either way, it's out of control. We have the human instinct to know when everything is wrong, when things are going to get worse and we all need to use it.....it's to survive.

Yes.... but they might not even have nuclear weapons or wish to develop them - Lets hope not.......I don't agree with the Iranian leadership on most things but at this point there are no grounds for an attack on Iran as they have continually said that its interest in nuclear technology, including enrichment, was for civilian purposes only (a right guaranteed under the treaty). Iran have seen what happened in Iraq and are pretty angry at the thought of things going down that route. AND...if the U.S, UK and/or Isreal do go for the military action option based on inaccurate (or lying) intelligence or a staged terror attack (a "CIA Special") then Iran would have to right to defend itself fully and with as much force. BUT if they (Iran) are proven (and I mean REALLY proven, not like last time) to have developed Nuclear Weapons after they have signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty then I think smarter means of disarmament need to be carefully looked into and move away from devestating bombing like "shock and awe".
