People feel the need to compare their favorite bands with other bands in order to make them seem worse or "OMG SO ALIKE, my favourite band is good". It's fun though, they only stick to the regular "I like this one more but the other has a few good songs" comment which makes the thread/topic boring. Either way, maybe you could see a small resemblace in their earlier work (talking about both bands) but Coldplay has gone to a place completely opposite to Radiohead's path, comparing them now is like comparing Gaga with U2 or any other weird comparison. I'd say listen to Coldplay if you're all such "great fans" and don't mind what you read on the web/youtube/other forums saying how much Coldplay is a rip off Radiohead or Muse, or U2 or any other popular band often compared with them.

Coldplay sounds more like Rebecca Black now.
