This is why I never concentrate too much on the lyrics with Coldplay. Their music brings me to tears or causes me to smile and to jump up and down, no matter what the lyrics are...

I voted July 8th because I love July and I love 8s. I do hope I'm not far from the real date, though.

Coldplay lyrics are always abstract. Seriously, very few songs have a straightforward meaning, all the others can be interpreted in a thousand different ways. And that applies from the very beginning (Parachutes) until Viva. So when people say that ETIAW has stupid lyrics that make no sense, I'm tempted to ask: which coldplay song DOESN'T? We all know how Chris writes. So where is the big surprise, lyrically?
