  1. Nirvana...by a long shot. :) Goo Goo Dolls or Matchbox 20
  2. Pearl Jam (but REM is brilliant, too) U2 or The Police
  3. Well, Pablo Honey is my least favorite album as well. But there are a lot of very good moments on it. Pablo Honey is an easy album to dismiss because, I believe, Radiohead has bashed it themselves. But I look at it all as a progression, so why not start at the beginning? Perhaps better advice would be to get the Astoria DVD, which is a combination of Pablo Honey and the Bends. If I did not like the Bends so well, I would not have had the patience to stick with Kid A or Amnesiac. I am glad I did, as they are now two of my favorite albums, but it only took me 20X. I say start simple and build. But, as mentioned above, everyone is different.
  4. Very True.
  5. The Bends is a fine choice. It is also not a bad idea to start at the beginning with Pablo Honey. This is the least "unique" of all their albums, and it is a conventional structure. I still think there are a lot of gems on this album, like Stop Whispering, that get ignored. Anyhow, it is easier to make a transition once you find a starting point. Do not start with Kid A or Amenesiac. In Rainbows is also a suitable starting point.

  12. I know...I had to think about that one for awhile. I thought to myself, "he doesn't mean R.E.M., does he?" I think he does. Oddly enough, REM, or rapid eye movement, is the acronym that gave R.E.M. their name. But, in typical fashion, he butchered it again.

It's not "HEAD OF THE RADIO", it's "RADIO FACE." Get it right. ;) GLORY TO THE COLD, and no death but FREEDOM for all the cold GAMERS and GAMES
  15. Haha...very well said. Now THAT I am offended by.
  16. It's Ultimate Guitar Magazine...what do you expect? They worship the likes of Slayer and Megadeath.
  17. I have a new mantra and it is: "GLORY TO THE COLD, and no death but FREEDOM for all the cold GAMERS and GAMES" Words to live by...think about it for a moment. ;)
  18. I can't lie. I thought some of this stuff was funny, but he certainly was over the top. I, too, will miss the pure comedy.
  19. Damn, this is one-person-one-vote. I want to change my vote to "Glory to all Cold Gamers" but it is to late. I am sorry to all the Cold Gamers whose well being I have compromised. But in fairness to me...Once a Cold Gamer, always a Cold Gamer.
  20. I voted death to the cold gamers. Wait, what's a Cold Gamer? ;)
  21. Hello fellow Cold Gamers. Welcome to the place where you come to talk about the Game of Cold. :)
  22. That was an interesting article...thanks. Just reading the court docs bring an entirely new sense of realism to the situation. A very messy case, indeed.
  23. This is a pretty good topic. The legal stuff is a mess, but I wish that they would take more of an "I don't give a shit" attitude. All of the surface "stuff" is nice, and I would like them to continue to receive it. But honestly, I don't care whether they win a Grammy or their album is in the Top 10 on some magazine's list. Sometimes I get the feeling it is not very fun to be in Coldplay. I wouldn't mind them taking the attitude of bands like Pearl Jam or Radiohead. Who cares what others think. Just worry about making music that you feel good about, and most of the fan base will still come along. And those who don't, you're probably better off for it.
