  5. How to Tame Your Dragon 3D Loved it. 10/10 Such a great movie. Too bad a lot of people are against watching "kids movies"
  6. Really? I've seen Muse twice before and have never seen them use confetti filled balloons. Maybe the venue's in Toronto didn't work for them? Hm. Ah well. Wonderful either way:D I really wish I was able to touch one though.
  7. The Toronto show was AMAZING. I admit I was a bit surprised that they were playing such a huge venue when I found out. I guess they've real blown up... Anyway so I went with my sister, we had floors. We were running a bit late so we missed a bit of the opening band, but from what I heard they were pretty good. It was really easy to go along the sides and get close to front of the stage. We were on the left so we had an awesome view of Matt most of the time, we were between 3rd-6th row back of people most of the time. It was really weird the way they did the set up though. I've never seen a show where they sold tickets behind the stage. Wonder how it might have been. Even with the rotating drumset and extra mics, they still had an ass-view most of the time. The lasers were pretty awesome. I liked how they had mirrors all around the stage to bounce them off. Right when the balloons came down I was just thinking COLDPLAY! haha. Balloons filled with confetti at the ACC? I've seen that before. :P cept they were yellow, obviously... Loved it. Really happy that I got floors, since it didn't feel so different from where I've seen them before. It's been way too long since I've seen Muse...
  8. I went down to Yonge and Dundas in Toronto and it was nuts. People were honking, screaming, the street was blocked off. Mounted (and non-mounted) police were everywhere, there was a shitload of glass and debris on the street. People were dancing, jumping, high fiving and singing the national anthem. People were hanging out of their cars high fiving people running by. Also a few conga lines were going. I lost my voice from cheering so much. Twas fun :P I'm so proud of my country for what they've achived in the Olympics this year! :) Record breaking gold medals.
  9. Wow what a game.:shocked2: SO excited we won. Excuse me.... I'm going to go party downtown with other Canadians:smug: The honking and screaming I can hear from my window is still going on. :D GO CANADA GO!!
  10. spit (eww) hate them salmon sashimi
  11. Canada's really well for medals, especially golds! We have 13 now! :)
  12. Jacob is super sexy:cool: I don't know what people see in Edward. Didn't notice the wonky nipple. I was probably too busy laughing with my sister about how unimpressed everyone was with his body compared to Jacobs. It was also pretty funny...when Jacob first came on with his long hair the whole theatre kind of groaned in dissapointment. We all wanted to see it cut off. And shirtless...in the rain.:shocked2: mmm.. LOL @ Bella's man voice
  13. I LOVED this movie. Best one I've seen for a while. And since I don't have to pay for movies (good perk for working for a movie theatre) I think I'll go watch it in IMAX with my dad :P
  14. Avatar 10/10 It was FANTASTIC
  15. my name is amanda. I think I'm pretty good at typing with my eyes closed. WIN it was kind of odd though. i typed WIN *the furst one) with my eyesioeb. and that's what you get when you try to use brackets with eyes closed. not a common thing. my typing is pretty decent though.
  16. Once in a while:P Every few months or so I'll make a few posts. I actually just found out that my cousin was a torch bearer! I think he was actually standing in for someone, I don't even know how he managed it. But the pictures were pretty cool. Yeah I know! We definately need to win something... apparently a lot of athletes have been getting injured though. Not just Canadian ones though.:stunned:
  17. The games are hosted in CANADA this year! I'm actually kind of surprised there isn't a thread yet (unless I really missed it). But the Torch just made it's way through Toronto today, and through my community outside of Toronto. I saw the torch bearers running today, and saw them exchange the torch as well. It was pretty cool :) I'm really glad I managed to see it, especially since it's the first time in my lifetime that I'm able to see it. Did anyone else see it in Canada yet?
  18. snowy, slushy and icy at varying points throughout the day.

  22. Not sure about the time zone, i just got back from watching it, it's 4:30am ET. Managing to catch a glimpse of them with my eyes was enough, I don't know how it would be possible to capture it on camera. It was really beautiful to watch. We were out for about 2 hours before we were freezing and went home. Went up north slightly away from the light pollution which I'm sure made quite a difference. The stars themselves away from city lights were nice to look at. We saw a few really bright ones which were fantastic and a bunch of smaller ones. Had a good night overall, minus the cold weather. Cuddiling up helped out though. But the skies were really clear which was awesome also :) Anyone else watch?
