  5. BUT A 50% SUCCESS RATE Yes, it takes commitment and perserverence. But the beauty of love is that the desire to sacrifice for your "ONE" remains a joyful decision and becomes one that is never questioned. Love is rising above one's self. And oh, the rapture of that!
  6. here goes CHEEZ ALERT!! Well, this is going to sound kind of sappy (is that the same as cheezy?), and I don't mean to preach, but here goes. I do not believe that there is one, single person with whom you are destined to spend the rest of your life if you are just lucky enough to meet him/her. If you're not so lucky, too bad - no true love for you! Of course you can try to manipulate your luck, try to stack the cards, so to speak, by doing everything that you or someone else can think of to increase your odds of actually meeting THE ONE (whiten your teeth, wear the coolest clothes [of course "cool" is a relative term] spend extra bucks on your haircut, have cosmetic surgery, go to the gym, own more things, bigger things - you get the idea). And you can really get dizzy and confused trying to outwit the trends to attract the soon-to-be enamoured so he/she will notice you. No. What I believe, and what I have experienced, is that we meet many different people as we go from day to day, from school to work to home or whatever. Some will find us interesting and we'll find some of them interesting. Maybe you can cultivate that one-ness with one of them. Maybe you'll grow into it. Maybe, like me, you'll meet your "one" and you'll be caught off guard, never having expected it to happen there, then, that way. If you do, you'll know pretty quickly whether or not that is the person with whom you will share a commitment to share your lives. You won't doubt it. You'll know it with certainty like you've never known. And while "happily-ever-after" isn't realistic, a joyfully shared journey with one committed other, come what may, warts and all, is, I assure you, a pretty amazing and real thing. Some say it's the best thing life has to offer. Some say that parenting a new life is life's best gig, but when Jr. is 25 with the job that pays more than you'd ever dreamt of earning, will you want some "one" to come home to? Someone to grow old with, whether you're rocking on your porch or dancing at a Coldplay concert? Most of us do. So relax. Don't worry. Be patient. Enjoy the place where you are in life. Explore the universe. And dance!
  7. pick me! pick me! :laugh3: No, really! Pick me! Seriously though, I'm sad for the Tampa fans.
  8. From The Blue Room See You Soon
  9. phone That's the main reason I phoned - to ask if they fit big wrists/arms. There doesn't seem to be such an option when ordering online. Maybe by email. But that's why I phoned. And again, it was worth it.
  10. Seems like 10 of yours are women's and 10 are men's. You can't do much if the smaller ones are breaking because the hand/wrist is too big. If you've tried rolling them gently over the thickest part of the hand/thunb/wrist and still they break, sorry. Keep in mind that they can easily be re-joined, if broken, using super-glue. Just don't glue your bracelet to your eye-brow! Unless, of course, that was your intention. On the bright side, you can give them away (I seem to be asked for one or three after people find out what they're about) and catch a smile. I can't recommend strongly enough that you place orders by phone to the NYC number of Made With Love in Barzil. The cost of the phone call was worth it to get personalized attention and the info I needed to get bracelets that work for me. Not to mention a pleasant conversation with a pleasant woman about Fair Trade and Coldplay! Think I'll call again soon!
  11. yup! You bet! He'd join within the 1st 24 hours, I'd bet! ..... tell your mother you're leaving home to be a Coldplay groupie (expecting her to pay your way) ?

  16. Chris who? I love this man! I love hearing him sing. Can't get enough of his dancing. I love watching him play the piano. I love his teeth. I love his eyes and hair. His chest. His butt. His legs. His feet. I love him for being "Music Man" and saving the damsel from the squirrel. His sense of humour. I love him because of the way he smiles from his heart. I love him for his love of his family. I love him because he loves Jonny, Guy and Will. Because he loves Phil, among the many others with whom he creates. I love him for his clumsiness. Love him for his grace. I love him because he loves us, his fans, and us, humanity. I love him for his wanting more for us. I love him for never stopping loving. I just love him.
  17. speaking of DREAMS Speaking fof dreams, Last Thrusday, July 30th, I saw Coldplay in Toronto (first CP concert - WOW!) Two nights ago I dreamt that I was jealous of Coldplay for seeing other people. !!:lol::lol: Silly, I know, but I'd be interested to hear a dream interpretation!
  18. One Day Like This One Day Like This, by Elbow They opened for Coldplay at the Toronto concert and made me a fan! Check it out! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hooPU2mdsH4&feature=fvst]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/ame]

  20. I'm in I'm still up! But not for long.
  21. Personally, I think The Purple Girls should have made R42's blog THIS time! :gossip:
  22. The Plan as of Now I think we want to plan and execute a memorable response for the band from Toronto Coldplayers (as a group) - one that respects the show, isn't disruptive of their performance, and doesn't encroach on other fans' enjoyment, but one that they (Chris, Will, Jonny and Guy) won't forget. We can check out other concerts' threads to see what's been done. Then brainstorm - meaning any and every idea gets put on the table without judgement (yet). When the next Toronto date is announced, we decide how we'll proceed. For the July 30th concert, we wanted to do something as a group, but we lacked planning and a focus imo. The purple girls had a great theme! And the flags were fun, but I think we can pull off a classy surprise that has yet to be suggested, that will stand out for our favourite band. Think of it as a gift for them. Make any sense? Who's in?
  23. 2011 I meant 2011 Chose that date becasue at the end of the July 30th concert, Chris said "See you in a couple of years". Now I know that we need to take Chris's off-the-cuff statements with a grain of salt, but we can hope, can't we??
