OMG its scary how similar we are, I think like that alot, especially about the universe, I try not to but its just logic. wow, im actually really surprised that somebody else thinks that too.

Yeh, I dont fear death itself, because ive already experienced it before I was born, it wasnt so bad, but I fear the fact that at some point i will definately die, Its good in a way because it sort of makes me care less about unimportant stuff in life...But im curious, as an atheist, how do you reconcile death? If I dwell on it too much I start to feel a bit hopeless.

Its tough, I would hate to be trapped alive forever but I also dont want to die. I think if somebody told me I would never die I would love it. The thought of my family and friends dying is something I cannot bare to contemplate.

When I was younger I was visiting my cousin's dad's house, who had recently died, A group of us were looking through some photo albums in his bedroom and then everyone else went downstairs, I continued to look through and as I flicked through I came across a large picture of him smiling, then the light started flickering uncontrollably and I felt extremely freaked out. For a long time I thought of this event as something supernatural, but now i know better and no longer do. It would be cool if ghosts existed though, I don't know why people are scared of that type of thing, if ghosts exist then you live forever, so whats to fear?

Firstly - I said the Middle East because its true that in parts of the Middle east you can't criticise religion....like Saudi Arabia, and these countries for example, some of which are in the Middle East... Iran – illegal (death penalty) Saudi Arabia – illegal (death penalty Nigeria – illegal in twelve of 37 states (death penalty) Qatar – illegal (death penalty) Sudan – illegal (death penalty) Mauritania – illegal (death penalty) Afghanistan – illegal (death penalty) Somalia – illegal (death penalty) Yemen – illegal (death penalty) And anyway, I didn't mean the whole of the Middle East, It was just an example, I'm sure there are places there that are much much freer in comparison. Secondly - I can accept it, I do not agree with it because its ridiculous, but I accept other people choose to believe whatever makes them feel warm inside. They can go right ahead but keep it out of science.

I can cook a wide variety of foods from memory now and I agree with you partially, Simple to medium difficulty dishes are a breeze, even some more tricky recipes such as souffles can be achieved by following the recipe closely, but to become a high quality chef/cook you need to know alot more. You need to be skilled with presentation, seasoning and which flavours work well. If everyone could become Gordon Ramsay or Marco pierre white, then more people would. People study cookery for years for a reason, but cookbooks are also sold for a reason.

I can criticise religion because it impacts on my life. To say that its off limits its a joke, If you want to live like that go live in Middle East where if you say you do not believe the punishment is death. I dont care if people believe in god but keep it to yourselves and out of education, science & medicine because as my favourite quote says, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Also, where was religion before 30,000 years? God just sat back and waited for humans to naturally, randomly evolve (random in the sense of mutation and genetic variation)? Why didnt he just create man whole? surely he could if he created life? Its funny how the religious cherry pick what they believe. The religious are the Ignorant ones, even when presented with all the evidence in the world they do not accept it, the same cannot be said about scientists.

People tend to make the mistake of giving creationism equal weight to evolution because they are both regarded as theories. This of course is not true. Evolution is a fact and Creationism/I.D. is pure rubbish.
