Hey All! Good to be back and great to see some of you last night (although you'll not likely know it was me!) Also good to see my setlist and hands making an appearance on the homepage ;) Have I got a treat for you! I've had a quick look over some of my videos and WOW! I'll be posting a FULL review (seriously, it's gonna be long and detailed!) later today along with some videos and a few pics. On reviewing what footage I have I think I probably have enough for a mini-experience video (something I do enjoy cutting together). Might take a week or 2 but keep your eyes peeled for that soon. Hasn't been mentioned before but perfectly viable. Only problem is I can't hear this in t in the park or glasto version. Also, while not exactly rare for coldplay, you'd lose the rhyme... Can anyone else hear this version?

Hi All I've been listening to the Glastonbury version again and again to try and solve a few more of these lyrical conundrums. I've also now heard the T in the Park version too which solved some of my other questions! I think we are near a final version but to be honest this can never really be a final version until the studio version is released. Chris is known for chopping and changing lyrics to suit, to just keep it fresh or simply because he feels like singing something else (Fix You is a great example where the live lyrics are almost permanently different on one line when live) and the lyrics have definitely been fiddled with since the Rock am Ring show when I first heard it. These lyrics are wholly based on the Glasto and T in the Park versions simply because there are excellent audio versions AND great HD video too... The first verse after the chorus is the tricky one we're all struggling on. At Glasto I'm certain he sings '...every surface are sayings' but at T in the Park it's clearly 'names'. Based on the clarity, I'm sticking with 'names'. He also adds the 'I' at the start of "See the arrow they shot...". It's not on the boards (see page 3) but makes more sense! Finally, first verse after chorus, second line. This is a real tricky one. I would be more sold on "And at the streets are rising, we're writing the same" but I want to know what you all think first. Remember, this is purely on the Glasto performance but I did hear this in others (T in the Park especially). Have left as is for now just incase... This was confirmed on previous page and agreed to. Will put up a new revised final draft of lyrics later (on iPad atm!) The problem with live lyrics is they're easily changed or slightly altered during each performance so it makes it hard to get a definitive list together, but I think we're just about there on this one!

It's definitely beat. Have a look at these two comparisons... We know for certain that the line starts 'Fire from my belly..." and whoever wrote it has a very distinguishable 'b' in the sense that it looks similar to a 'k' written in a joined handwriting way. That same 'b' is present in the word that would be 'beat'. On another note, although he doesn't sing it in the Rock am Ring version, I now believe in the official lyrics the line starts 'Like the fire from my belly...' (see the extra words at the start on the left). Secondly, if you look at the blue circle, I no longer think the first line of the third verse is 'See the arrow that they shot...' but instead just 'See the arrow they shot'. There's no 'that' written...

I'll see if I can decipher the rest over the course of the day. Got it on repeat at the moment (helps that this is one of my favourites of the new tracks!) Also... This is definately right. Would make more sense as the song is about graffiti, writings in graffiti etc.

Firstly, you're welcome! However, as you'll see from my prev post, I'm a sucker for pleasing people as the audio's now up (sans music of course!) Surprisingly, did all of it on my iPhone! Had it recording the audio as a voice memo still while taking the pics etc. so only needed the one device ;) Was very worried when I got back as the actual file was corrupted on my phone. Kinda helps being a bit of a nerd in that sense as I got it off a different way and ran it through a few programs to recover the audio :) Feel partly honoured to be mentioned on the Wiki reviews! I'll make sure I pop by more often ;)

Hey All! Ok, those of you who asked, I've decided to do it tonight as a treat! This is a recording of the studio noise, banter, etc. from today's TOTP session with Coldplay. An important note: This contains NO music at all. I have left in a couple of the 'links' Fearne and Reggie did as I genuinely believe they won't use them (can't have the audience booing on TV!) so should be fair game. Another link is left in but the audience is so loud you can't hear anything anyway apart from cheering. Should comply with any copyright issues and also hopefully respects Coldplay. Apologies for the ruffling sound at points, phone was moving around in my back pocket. For anyone interested, I've listened back to the recording and have put together a rough dialogue of what happened in the studio. It starts from when the bloke on stage (I'm gonna call him the warm-up guy, or WUG for short) is talking about the 'snow machine'... I'll edit out the songs and up the file tomorrow morning for you all if you want a listen. :D

Thanks for the welcome :D I know yours is the only response to it so far but I have a feeling that'll be the trend (kinda 99% expect that to be!) which is why I haven't just gone and done it! Unfortunately there won't be anything to see as it's audio only but, again, with majority say so when others read, I can edit out the songs and upload a track of the banter/studio directions and anything else that DEF won't be in the show. As soon as the forums allow, I'll get the pic links on here (just need to post a few more!)

Firstly, Hi All! Long time fan and Coldplaying follower, first time poster ;) As far as I know he had tourettes (or at least that was the rumour circulating at the mid section where I was stood!) He kept doing a kind of neck twitch which is quite common with tourettes sufferers trying to control ticks (Spelling?!). It was a truly amazing experiance there today. I arrived about 11am and stood somewhere in the middle of the queue freezing! I was number 129. The guy on stage warming the crowd up was brilliant and had a good laugh with the crowd but Chris was his usual cheeky self stealing the show. His mention of the Christmas Lights shoot being "an orgy of drink, drugs and spice girls" was brilliant! Intimate isn't really the word for it. Perhaps 'private' show? When else can a true fan watch their idols play 2 foot in front of them? None of them seemed too shy either which can sometimes happen. I vaguely remember Chris watch me belting out part of the second chorus with a grin, might have made a prat of myself on TV! I've got a few pics from where I was stood but they're not particularly brilliant.
